The Firmament

There has been considerable debate over the translation of Gen1:1.

“In the beginning God created / bara the heaven and the earth.”

Much literature is intentionally ambiguous at its beginning, especially about a mystery, in order to draw the reader into the narrative. The Bible is no different. The first chapters are either a gold mine for someone seeking to find the Creator God of the Bible, or a minefield for anyone looking to deny him.

• “I am the first / creation
  • I also am the last / destruction…
• I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I…
  • Thus saith the LORD…There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.” (Isaiah 48:12-22)

“And the earth was / came to be without form, and void; and darkness / works of evil was upon the face of the deep / abyss, formlessness, chaos.” (Genesis 1:2)

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!…Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” (Isaiah 14:12-15)

A planet in the shape of a type of oblate spheroid, a toroid, informally called a donut because it has a hole in the middle, is possible. “However, there is no firm theoretical understanding as to how toroidal planets could form naturally.”

This explanation is obviously denying Creation, but covering up scientific evidence as well.

“Since the work of Safronov (1972), planet formation has been understood to be a bottom-up process whose initial phases…[are] disks.” That’s another word for “spheroid”, of which a toroid is one type.

“The idea of a toroidal Earth was first mooted in 2008, in a post on the messageboards of the Flat Earth Society. That in itself should have been enough to tell people that it wasn’t a serious suggestion.”

Ahh, using mockery as a weapon when the so-called intelligentsia have no facts. 

In fact, even when they do, many sources continue to frankly deceive the general public. 

Published 2025 after it was publically admitted that the earth is a flatted spheroid: From the offset, we need to state that no, of course Earth isn’t donut-shaped. That can be proved in all manner of ways [name three], but the best and most obvious evidence is pictures of Earth taken from space, and it is patently, undeniably round, as this image captured during the Apollo 17 mission clearly shows. [Hastily backtracking] Of course, Earth isn’t entirely round. It’s not a sphere, it’s an oblate spheroid – a sphere that’s been flattened slightly at the top and bottom.

Seriously? Using false evidence to prove a point, then admitting it’s false without acknowledging that if earth is in fact an oblate spheroid it could be a type that is also a toroid with a narrow, perhaps invisible, hole..

Various astronomers both amateur and professional have, in fact, spent a great deal of time and mental energy proving that such a planet is feasible.

In the well-established visualization of ancient Hebrew cosmology, based on the Genesis account of creation in the Torah, the earth is an oblate spheroid.

So why does Wikipedia erroneously – and frankly, sneeringly, state that “The ancient Israelites envisaged the universe as a flat disc-shaped Earth floating on water.”? 

Again, in the same article, Wikipedia states that “The cosmology of the ancient Near East  (including Mesopotamia,  Egypt, Persia / Iran, the Levant / Syria, Anatolia / Turkey, and the Arabian Peninsula…included a flat earth, deliberately misleading the reader away from the obvious presentation as an oblate spheroid, which is a flattened earth.

You probably don’t realize it, but virtually every world map you’ve ever seen is wrong.

To correct these distortions, Tokyo-based architect and artist Hajime Narukawa created the AuthaGraph map using a complex process that essentially amounts to taking the globe and flattening it out.

And while the new AuthaGraph World Map – show above – may look strange, it is in fact the most accurate map you’ve ever seen.

This may be the most accurate map so far, but still deceptive.

Deception #1 – Hiding Antarctic’s Key Position On Earth

The politics of this – firstly- rectangular map really comes into play in the map’s configuration failure to place Antarctica in its central place in the ocean’s circulation.

The astrolabe that was used from ancient times all the way up to the early modern period was, like the flattened surface of an oblate spheroid earth depicted by every ancient culture, was a flat circular surface, like a sundial – with a series of dials, pointers and engravings to accurately not only tell the time of day, but also determine the positions of certain guide stars, to determine coordinates for travel on earth, predict when the sun would rise or set, and more.

 

 

Using these physical observations accurately defining the reference frame from earth, the oldest known scientific theoretic model was developed by Ptolemy of Alexandria about 150 CE and recorded by him in his Almagest and Planetary Hypotheses as a geo / earth – centric cosmology – assigning a stationary position to Earth.

 

It wasn’t until 1543 that Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543) published On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres in Nuremberg, Holy Roman Empire, as a philosophical – NOT scientific – alternative model of the universe to Ptolemy’s geocentric system.

This model required changing the earth’s shape from an oblate spheroid to a sphere which rotated on its axis to account for day and night cycles, and periodically changes the tilt of its axis to account for the precession of the equinoxes of the celestial bodies.

No explanation was provided for the force(s) that keeps the earth rotating, revolving in orbit, or periodically shifting its leaning axis.

To understand how this unscientific idea gripped the scientific community up to the present time we need to understand the religious connection.

 “Western Europe” in the context of this review refers to the European cultures bound together by the Catholic Church and its Latin language. Following the fall of the Western Roman Empire it was cut off from the sources and intelligibility of most classical scientific treatises, which were written in Greek and preserved in libraries in the East.

Isaac Newton (1643-1727) was raised in the Anglican Church of England, which realistically simply swapped the king of England for the pope. Like Copernicus, he lost his father early in life and was raised by a relative.

And here is where any comparison ends and Isaac Newton contrasts sharply with Nicolaus Copernicus.

Sir Isaac Newton excelled in every activity in both achievements and alacrity, becoming at the young age of 24 a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, which required his commitment to taking Holy Orders within seven years of completing his MA, but which he promptly did the following year. By the law of King Charles II he was required to take a vow of celibacy and recognize the Thirty-Nine Articles of the Church of England for advancement at Trinity College. To this he so strenuously objected that he considered ceasing his studies. Evidently, his value to the school was such that the Secretary of State for the Northern Department changed the relevant statute of Trinity College to cancel this requirement. This transparent politics of the Church of England drew Newton into his personal study of the early history of the Church. (I can personally relate to that!)

As detailed in the previous post, Newton’s ecclesial studies at Trinity College automatically included astronomy. The Copernican Revolution’s value to undergirding the authority of the Catholic Church certainly  became apparent to him, as he wrote: “When I wrote my treatise about our Systeme I had an eye upon such Principles as might work with considering men for the beliefe of a Deity and nothing can rejoyce me more than to find it useful for that purpose.” (Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica)This work limits itself to explaining how objects move in the universe.

“Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?…Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? 

I [ALONE!]…shut up the sea [image of conceptual chaos] with doors, when it brake forth [as a weapon of destruction]…

[In response] I [ALONE!]brake up [the sea itself turned against the adversaries] …That it  might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it…

It [the ends of the earth] is turned as clay to the seal [immobile]; and they [the wicked] stand as a garment [hung up, unmoving]. And from the wicked their light is withholden…

Hast thou entered into the springs [lowest sources] of the sea…the depth? Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?…

Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?…Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters…The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.“(Job 38:1-30)

The above description matches the interior of a toroidal earth, entered via the South Pole at Antarctica.

The Antarctic has been determined to be so critical to world stability that it is regulated by international relations rather than a national constitution through the Antarctic Treaty System (ATS). As of 2024, the treaty has 58 parties. The land is divided, not by geographical boundaries like mountains and river and mineral deposits, but in a most interesting pattern of geometric wedges of a circle so every party has access to the South Pole at the center.

Although it is a huge continent the ATS forbids a resident human population or even any visitors without official clearance. It was the first arms control agreement established during the Cold War, 

The obvious conclusion to be drawn from this Ice Curtain parallel to the USSR’s Iron Curtain blocking contact with the rest of the world is that access behind the Curtain grants a massive military advantage.

To understand this we need to track its military history, including Intelligence Services standard practices of hiding the truth with decoys.

According to the Greek Ages of Man, the Golden Age ended with the War of the Titans and the imprisonment of Cronus / Lucifer. This did not end conflict between the old and new gods.

The Roman poet Ovid in The Metamorphoses explains that Zeus / Saturn / Satan seized the throne of the universe when his more powerful father Cronus / Lucifer was cast into murky Tartarus. As a clone / 2nd generation god, he was less glorious than his father, but identified with the next-important light in the sky, the moon. He was called by the name “Sin” in Sumerian, and worshipped with all the host of heaven 

Biblically his power over humanity is noted as “if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire” (Genesis 4:7)

But also true that the covenant of dominion over the earth held in trust for the qualified heir is irrevocable. And throughout all history mankind has been tasked with living up to the assigned role of taking dominion by tapping into the power of God.

So from a biblical perspective, as the common currency, silver is the hallmark of this age for redeeming humanity from Satan’s ownership.

Redemption is not a vague spiritual concept accomplished only by Jesus Christ.

Redemption is a very concrete reality that God intended anyone who reconnects to him, ergo is empowered over Satan, to practice in their current mortal human lives on a day-to-day basis.
