155) The New Covenant Is The Old Story

A covenant remains intact even if one of the parties breaches it.

Let me say that again.

A covenant remains intact even if one of the parties breaches it.

Therefore, every reference to a “new” covenant is a new condition to the original covenant upholding the original covenant by the stronger party of the covenant despite the failure of the weaker party.

God’s foundational covenant with humanity is the transfer of his power and authority to humanity.

Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion”. (Genesis 1:26)

This is the Singularity enforcing a new reality, exactly as stated in Let…” throughout Creation and thereafter.

Clearly, the only way this can possibly work is for humanity to draw on the source of power and authority of the Singularity over Creation.

And the LORD God commanded the man / made a law, saying…of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:

In other words – do not break away to independence! Follow God’s determination of what is good and what is evil.

for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die [become separated from the Source of life].” (Genesis 2:16-17)

This is not some arbitrary wrath of God. This is simple reality. Mankind does not have the intrinsic power of life.

156) A Prophet-Priest-King Like Moses

Moses – not Jesus Christ – is God’s primary messenger to humanity.

Moses “the man / ish / identical one of God” had as much an exclusive relationship with God as Adam, made in the image and likeness of God. Consistent with God’s identification of himself with, by transfer of authority to, Adam and his Melchizedekian successors, God names His own policies and procedures “the law of Moses.

  • “I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say…
  • THOU shalt speak unto him [Aaron]…he shall be thy spokesman unto the people
  • THOU shalt be to him instead of God.” (Exodus 4:10-16)

After YHVH identified himself and his Redeemer so strongly with Moses, it is not blasphemy to equate the one who “sent” YHVH’s Savior as Moses, as well as YHVH.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)

“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts…But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings… Remember ye the law of Moses my servant.” (Malachi 4, last chapter before Matthew 1)

What Moses taught in word and deed in the Old Testament is fundamental to understanding YHVH’s Savior in the New Testament.

“The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me / Moses; unto him ye shall hearken”;” (Deuteronomy 18:15)

SECTION XXIX: Only YHVH Has The Power To Save

“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

  • Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world…
    • Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when [did this happen]? saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
  • And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
    • Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels…Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” (Matthew 25:31-46)

According to Jesus himself, people who don’t know “Christ Jesus” by name or in the Christian religious system can still be declared righteous.

This totally makes sense when we take into consideration that the God-man promised to redeem mankind was not known by the English translation “Christ Jesus” to the vast majority of humanity. As has been explained in previous postings, “name” defines attributes and accomplishments.

“Christ Jesus” is the inadequate translation of “The Transcendent I Am / Creator’s Promised Savior”.

“They that feared the LORD / YHVH / Creator spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened [paid attention], and heard [accepted] it,

      1. and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD / YHVH / Creator, and that thought upon his name.
      2. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels;
      3. and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

157) How Calling On The Name Of Jesus Saves

In magic, invoking a powerful being’s secret name gives access to that being’s power “to act on your behalf”. I don’t have personal experience in magic in its many forms because I do believe that sharing names and contact information with spirit beings does in fact create two-way connections.  And, as another nonmaterial experience – on-line dating – proves, you can’t be in control of what happens next. We need to be careful about invoking, even unwittingly, names of spirit beings in activities like karate and yoga.

There is only one name in which we can safely trust to accomplish a good thing for us.

  • “For the Lord God [Adonay Yhvh] will help me; He is near that justifieth me;
    • who will contend with me? let us stand together:
    • who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
  • Behold, the Lord God will help me;
  • Who is among you that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? [But!]
    • that feareth the LORD [YHVH],
    • that obeyeth the voice of his servant / human messenger,
  • let him trust in the name of the LORD [YHVH], and stay upon his God [Elohaw]. (Isaiah 50:7-10)

158) “Begotten” Still Means “Chosen Heir”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

John 3:16 has been called “The Gospel in a nutshell” because it provides a stunningly succinct summary of the doctrine of the Christian faith.”

In John 1:1-2 , it is stated, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” This passage affirms that Jesus, as the Word, existed eternally with God and was Himself divine, setting Him apart from all other beings.

And that’s where the pagan dogma of the Trinity is overlaid upon the clear explanation in scripture.

John 1:1-2 clearly repeats Genesis 1 where the Word is the sound energy emanating from the Infinite Singularity God.

We must interpret all scripture by remaining consistent with previous scripture.

The phrase “only begotten” is not exclusive to John 3:16.

“By faith Abraham…offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called [your Melchizedekian heirs]:” (Hebrews 11:17-19)

And as exemplified in Abram’s two heirs, “only” is not in the numerical sense of “singular” but in the conceptual sense of a specific inheritance, while every begotten son is also granted an inheritance.

“And God said unto Abraham,

  1. I will give thee a son …Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him…and with his seed after him.
  2. Ishmael…I will make him a great nation [dynasty, lineage, forever living on in his seed].” (Genesis 16:3-15, 17:15-21)

“no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest / God’s representative; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, TODAY have I begotten thee / invested thee with the promised inheritance.” (Hebrews 5:4-6)

159) Melchisedec Is Still A Man Of War

“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” (Matthew 10:34-36)

The household of the King of Israel was his cadre of ministers.

Jesus is declaring war on the establishment.

By Jesus’ day both the Aaronic lineage of priests and the Davidic royal dynasty had been supplanted by first the Hasmoneans then the Herodians. If scripture was going to be fulfilled, they had to be replaced.

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I choose to turn away from my sinful ways. I realize your son Jesus died on a cross in my place for my sins. Uh, no. That’s not how it works.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus / YHVH’s Promised Savior, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. the law [intractable authority, power] of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2-3)

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord / YHVH’s Appointed Savior who defeated the adversary of sin and death, so walk ye in him / live like you did! Beware lest any man spoil you [like rotted meat] through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men.” (Colossians 2)

Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, is a good case study of a man who had to make a decision between putting himself under God’s authority AS WRITTEN IN HIS WORD, or not.

161) Stillborn Faith

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Most unfortunately modern Christianity flaunts this verse as membership in the Kingdom of God being simply a “get out of jail free” card. An “easy believism” religion of fire insurance after death with no evidence of spiritual regeneration changing one’s daily routine fulfilling the desires of the flesh is not what the Bible teaches.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?…And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only…For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.” (James 2:14-24)

162) The New Birth

As a mother who screamed during labor pains, convinced my back was going to break as the baby’s head was crushing it while passing through the birth canal, who screamed at my husband in the delivery room to “Shut up or I’m going to kick you out!!, who took one glance at the overhead mirror arranged so the mothers lying on their backs could view the baby emerging, and immediately closed my eyes to avoid the bloody and grossly distorted anatomy between my straddled legs in full view of the assorted staff all intent on what would be the most private part of my body, I am astounded at the ignorance with which – must be male – pastors and teachers describe the birth experience.

feb-2-newrebirth

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a [hu]man be born again, he cannot see / perceive the [spirit] kingdom of God…Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:3-6)

Any comparison to fleshly birth must require tremendous labor and a willingness to die to self, suffer the lost of self-respect and trauma to the new life emerging.

163) Baptized Into The Savior Of The World

“In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea…he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight…Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, And were 1) baptized of him in Jordan, 2) [for the purpose of] confessing their sins.” (Matthew 3:1-6)

This was not an evangelistic gimmick. John the Baptist was following the Law of Moses which required outer washing in acknowledgement of one’s inner sinful state before coming into the presence of Holy God.

The Greek word “baptizo” was a common everyday word among Greek-speaking people, understood by the Latin word ‘immerse’, as when washing.

“the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud…Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them [a command as at Creation, not an allowance, also] wash their clothes.” (Exodus 19:9-10)

“to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest’s office…Aaron and his sons thou shalt…wash them with water.” (Exodus 29:1-4)

Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet…When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister…unto the LORD:” (Exodus 30:18-21)

“the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me…Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;” (Isaiah 1)
