The title is a play on the post “A New Thing” in which false gods hybridized their spirits with humans to create a new breed of offspring to serve them. Apply this to what the apostle Paul announces.

“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints / Upright Ones / Jeshurun which are at Ephesus…

• According as he hath chosen / messiahed us in him before the foundation of the world,
• that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
• Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself…wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” (Ephesians 1:1-6)

And as always, Paul got his doctrine from existing scripture.

“And [on the way to the Promised Land] the children of Israel…pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho. And Balak the son of Zippor [king of the Moabites] saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites…and sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the [Euphates river of the land of the children of his people [Mesopotamia] to call him, saying…Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me...for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.” (Numbers 22:1-6)

The location and widespread fame of the children of “his people” point squarely at one man.

“Now the LORD had said unto Abram…I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great…And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”) Genesis 12:1-2)

Balack king of the Moabites recognized the children of “Israel / Prince of El” as Abram’s nation, and was simply playing the transactional religious game the only way he knew.

“And the LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth…God is not a man, that he should lie… hath he said, and shall he not do it?…according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion…he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain…Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!” (Numbers 24)

Despite being an outcast of Israel:

“Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword.” (Joshua 13:22)

Balaam is counted a true Melchizedekian prophet of Israel:

“O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.” (Micah 6:5),

As was the great prophet Daniel, despite being an outcast from Israel’s worship system, accepted as a Melchizedek of God.

The Epistle “to the Hebrews” is, completely against protocol, not addressed as such, nor signed off by the author himself anywhere in the letter. However, the traditional title “To the Hebrews” is very old. Clement of Rome seems to know the letter by this title late in the first century…In one of our earliest manuscripts…Hebrews follows Romans, indicating the book was viewed as part of the Pauline collection.

Continuing this tradition, the Council of Carthage (397) and also the Council of Carthage (419)…which took place under the authority of St. Augustine (354–430)… also declared by fiat that Epistle to the Hebrews was written by Paul, for a time ending all debate on the subject.

The significance of the authority of this document’s writer and subject matter is found in the arguments that have been continuously raised against them to this day. For a correct understanding of Paul’s doctrine of the New Testament Church we must recognize its place in the doctrine of the letter to the Hebrews.

“The Endless is a movie that plays with our perceptions of time, space, and reality, and sketches the outlines of unimaginable / endless terror…Things become unmoored from scientifically verifiable truth…There are so many strange moments and images, most of them tossed-off…effectiveness comes from comparing what we’re told would happen against what actually does happen.“

And this is where the Word of God telling us in advance of what will happen before it actually does happen is of paramount importance.

The Bible is not a guidebook to a lifestyle, it is a guide to life itself. Only those who develop wisdom and understanding from studying the subject recognize and know how to respond with life sustaining action when confronted by death-dealing forces.

“What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God…when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God.” (Romans 3:1-2, Hebrews 5:12)

So let’s review some of the first principles of the oracles of God, 90 of which are expressed documented just in the book of Genesis as “God said“. Seems to be that’s key. Then roughly half that number are documented in the book of Exodus with the establishment of the nation of Israel.

So it makes sense to back up to Genesis to ensure we’ve captured the very “first” principles of the oracles of God, where we discover that before there was a nation of Israel, Abraham is called – as much into being as anything else in Creation – “the father / authorizer of who belongs in the family with all its provisions”.

“What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?…what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness… faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness…the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was…through the righteousness of faith…of Abraham; who is the father of us all.” (Romans 4)

“Going my way?” What a loaded question. It’s…delivered to Will with rakish charm by Hannibal…Is Will going Hannibal’s way? Is he finally becoming like Hannibal…or is he sacrificing himself to save the world…? And in the end, is there a difference?…

Will bends Hannibal to his will by saying the words he wants to hear: “I need you, Hannibal. Please…”  a truly glorious fight sequence…their blood-soaked embrace was payoff galore…with Hannibal getting everything he has ever wanted…and in that moment I think he was perfectly content to die.

Shocking to equate God’s plan of salvation with a ghastly TV show? What I find really shocking is just how tepid the Christian church experience has become. Including and especially identifying with Jesus Christ, with whom salvation is achieved by identifying with him in his blood sacrifice.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain…

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Galatians 2:20-21, Romans 1:16-17)

Hebrews chapter 11 tracks the righteousness of God revealed

• from faith in the promised Savior through substituting animal deaths
• to faith in the Savior who died in our place
• as the same faith in the yet-to-come resurrection of our mortal bodies.

Not the faith of Judaism changed to different faith of Christianity.

•  [Genesis 4] By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous” because he acted on God’s notice that “without shedding of blood is no remission” of sin. (Hebrews 9:22)
• [Genesis 6] By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;” the same situation looming as world war the near future “then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time…as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:21-22, 37)

A biblical canon or canon of scripture is a set of texts (or “books”) which a particular Jewish or Christian religious community regards as authoritative scripture. The English word canon comes from the Greek κανών, meaning “rule” or “measuring stick”.

• The books of Moses, consisting of Genesis – Deuteronomy, were preserved over the years by the priests.
• The Psalms of David and other song leaders and wisdom writings of Solomon were authenticated as consistent with the Torah by the priests at the time they were written and likewise safeguarded.
• The historical records were written and safeguarded by official scribes (which, interestingly are making a comeback in the medical field where meticulous accuracy is of paramount importance).
• For whatever reasons, there are other historical writings, in particular Jasher and Enoch, that, while referenced in the Bible and included in the first edition of the King James Bible in 1611, aren’t included in later editions.

Most of all, the concepts of justice, righteousness and freedom are articulated by the Prophets in hundreds of prophecies of judgment for failing to follow these precepts that came true, especially for rejecting the law of the LORD / Creator.

Although Christianity acknowledges that Jesus Christ is identified by his likeness to Moses, Christianity downplays their roles as being nothing more than just “types” of Christ. We are discarding our own identity in Christ if don’t understand Moses and his successors’ relationship to the Promised Redeemer.

“And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for THOU must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and THOU shalt cause them to inherit it.

And the LORD, he it is that doth go before THEE; he will be with THEE, he will not fail THEE, neither forsake THEE: fear not, neither be dismayed. ” (Deuteronomy 31:7-8)

“the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister…as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail THEE, nor forsake THEE…

“he hath said, I will never leave THEE, nor forsake THEE. So that WE may boldly say, The Lord is MY helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto ME.” (Hebrews 13:5-6)

The full biblical – not Jewish or Christian – criteria for recognizing the Melchizedekian successors to Moses include ALL leaders in the Kingdom of Heaven:

1. “whom the LORD knew face to face”, i.e. had a unique close association with YHVH demonstrated by
2. “all the signs and the wonders which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt” – hyper dimensional power made possible only through
3. commitment to YHVH’s existing covenant at that time, demonstrated by godly lifestyle and proven by
4. “all that mighty hand, – undertaking battle in the power and glory of God unto death
5. and in all the great terror” – i.e. miraculous victory in battle against the adversary, thereby being granted
6. “the blessing…The LORD came from Sinai…with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words”, i.e. a new covenant producing a higher union with YHVH than the previous covenant. (Deuteronomy 33:1-3, 34:10-12)

“Who raised up the righteous man from the east [Abram] gave the nations before him [Abraham], and made him rule over kings [as Melchizedek]?…calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD…

thou, Israel, art my servant / slave, a permanent relationship, Jacob whom I have chosen [to fight with me], the seed / descendant / a generation of Abraham my friend…and said unto thee, Thou art my servant / slave; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.” (Isaiah 41:1-9)

So when Judea was again, under Rome, as previously had happened under Babylon, desolated and its people scattered, YHVH was not abandoning them. He was following the terms of his covenant with Israel to be his witnesses of salvation to the whole world.

“Jesus Christ / YHVH’s Savior the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines.“ (Hebrews 11-13)

I spent 60 years defining myself as a Christian while, as a biblically literate individual, struggling with the inconsistencies between the Bible and Christianity – even the brands that claim to be rock solid Bible-believers. Christianity has degraded the whole purpose of the new covenant with the false gospel that Jesus’s death took away the punishment for sin so we can go about our merry way secure in the knowledge that, since we ‘asked Jesus to come into our heart’, no matter what we do, we don’t face judgment. This is a dreadful lie.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?…our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin…Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body…but yield…your members as instruments of righteousness unto God…Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? (Romans 6:1-16)

Adultery and fornication are two behaviors most denounced as sin in the Bible. The is not an arbitrary ruling by a God who invented house rules. This is a fact of life – or death – of the body in conditions like AIDS and infertility caused by STDs, breakdown of the family and by extension society’s cohesion and stability, evidenced in the Lindsay Clancy murders and trial.

If we can recognize that choices made to pursue a short-term pleasure of drug use leads to long-term destruction of the body, soul and spirit, can we not extrapolate the personal, family, social, and international damage caused by physical drug abuse to the abstract but same pursuit of any self-absorption expressed on a spectrum of ignoring to neglecting to ruthlessly exploiting those whose quality of life, or very life itself, depend on us meeting their needs in our tightly interconnected web of life? Self absorption is easy enough to see when it ruthlessly exploits others in pornographic dehumanization, pedophilia, and rape and Me Too! but is also the root cause of broken families, poverty, and war.

Why is it so hard to understand the righteousness can’t be simply declared, it must a choice resulting in changed behavior.

• “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH – BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT!
• God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH – BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT..
• For to be carnally / physically minded / focused is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
• Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
• So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, IF so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
• Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ / Mashiach, he is none of his [mashiachs].” (Romans 6, 8:1-9)

As Jesus approached his betrayal, torture, the agony of crucifixion, and – as a human being – the possibility that he would fail to endure to the end, perhaps we can catch a glimpse of his mindset from Winston Churchill’s inspiring words as, in 1940, he urged his countrymen to step up to the Battle of Britain/

“Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilisation…if we fail, then the whole world…will sink into the abyss… Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, “This was their finest hour.”

Prime Minister Winston Churchill convinced the British to be glorified through willingness to die so others could be saved. Costing the lives of 60,595 British civilians, Britain’s leadership of the Allied in the Battle of Britain was the turning point in the Second World War.

What most people don/t know is that Winston Churchill was considered a total failure by the age of 40.

Apply this victory to the battle for who would be in control of the spiritual capitol of the world, Jerusalem that raged for millennia between “they” who rebel against YHVH, and “ye” who submit to YHVH.
