SECTION XXXV: America In Prophecy

Popular Belief #1: America is not mentioned in the prophecies because the Rapture will have taken place…hundreds of millions of Christians will have vanished – causing enormous consternation among those who remain…

Unpopular Belief #2:

perhaps the United States may not be mentioned in Scripture because it might be devastated by a nuclear war…“The possibilities of it have never been greater,” says Laurie…

“I personally believe that the reason the U.S. is not mentioned in end time prophecy,” says Reagan, “is because we will suddenly cease to be a world power and will therefore play no significant role in end time events.”

“The destruction of American power is most likely to occur in two stages,” writes Reagan. “The first could be an economic catastrophe that will result from our out-of-control debt situation. Our god is the dollar and the Lord is going to destroy that god when the weight of our debt collapses our economy.” In such a scenario, writes Graff, “America will have suffered a financial collapse by the time of the last days, and would still exist, but not be a superpower. That is exactly what many political and financial analysts are saying about our current course. The United States will not be gone in the last days. We will just not be worth mentioning.”

The above speculations and personal opinions are discredited by

  • ignoring the intrinsic fluidity of an empire’s geography since expansion is definitive of empire,
  • ignoring that the other modern nations are not mentioned by name either,
  • contradictorily attributing modern European nations’ historical roots to their current identities while not attributing America’s European historical roots to her current identity,
  • treating the Atlantic Ocean as a barrier between segments of an empire when it never was for classical Rome, Spain, or England’s empires.

Instead of being omitted from Bible prophecy as many of the major eschatology scholars have taught for decades, what if America were at the very center of Bible prophecy?

Francis Bacon (1561-1626) is famous as “the father of modern science”, a philosopher, lawyer, statesman, and author.

Bacon’s novel The New Atlantis identifies the lost continent of Atlantis with the discovery of America and portrays what can be accomplished in its remote setting isolated from European conflicts, with peacetime pursuits focused on bettering the lives of its inhabitants. Much of it reads like a prophesy of what has actually come to pass through technology in our own modern world.

Francis Bacon played a leading role in establishing the British colonies in North America, notably Virginiathe Carolinas and Newfoundland and is considered by some to one of the Founders of the United States.

The full extent of Francis Bacon’s applications of his inquisitive and genius mind is unknown. He was an early and leading contender in the hunt to find the man who could have written Shakespeare’s plays. The dates are right, he possessed the intellectual scope and achieved success in his lifetime in multiple fields, claiming that he had taken all knowledge to be his province, and there is evidence supporting the theory.

He is also considered by many to have been a member of secret societies, and given his life’s goal to learn all he could about everything, we must assume he at least spent time in learning their secrets, and in turn his having his beliefs embraced by them.

From the Secret Destiny of America, by Manly P. Hall.

Word was passed about through secret channels that here in the Western Hemisphere was the promised land of the future. One example will indicate the trend.  About 1690, the German Pietist theologian, Magistar Johannes Kelpius, settled in Pennsylvania and their descendents still flourish in Lancaster county. The Pietists brought with them the writings of the German mystic, Jacob Boehme, books on magic, astrology, alchemy, and the cabala.

Any account of secret societies in America would have to include tribute to the man who has been called the “First American Gentleman”–Benjamin Franklin.  Although Dr. Franklin was never the country’s President, nor a military general, he stands out as one of the most important figures in the struggle for American independence….But up to the present day, few indeed are those who have realized that the source of his power lay in the secret societies to which he belonged and of which he was the appointed spokesman.

When Benjamin Franklin went to France to be honored by the State, he was received too by the Lodge of Perfection, the most famous of all the French secret orders; and his name, written in his own fine hand, is in their record ledger, close to that of the Marquis de Lafayette.

Franklin spoke for the Order of the Quest, and most of the men who worked with him in the early days of the American Revolution were also members.  The plan was working out, the New Atlantis was coming into being, in accordance with the program laid down by Francis Bacon a hundred and fifty years earlier.

At the appointed hour, the freedom of man was publicly declared.

Freedom from what, is the question. Whatever Francis Bacon’s true hopes and dreams were, the humanist agenda rejecting a sovereign God is what has transpired.

What if Washington., rather than Rome or Babylon, is the last days’ power base of Satan’s conspiracy against the Kingdom of God?

What if the Antichrist were an American leader? What if he were alive today and living in the U.S.A?

Three authors, Douglas W. Krieger, Dene McGriff, and S. Douglas Woodward have written what may be seen as a landmark book rethinking the traditional prophetic scenario in light of developments in America and the Middle East. Combined, these authors bring over 100 years of study, teaching, and writing to the subject of Bible prophecy. The amazing blend of their respective backgrounds in the foreign services, evangelical ministries, and corporate America, lends unsurpassed credibility to their stunning and remarkably fresh presentation.

The Final Babylon, America and the Coming of Antichrist will awaken you to what has been happening right in front of our eyes that we simply couldn’t see due to our love of country and our faulty assumptions concerning the antagonists in the traditional prophetic scenario. This book may change your politics, your view of the Bible, and what you do day-to-day.

Follow the pattern. What starts as a pleasant excursion full of good intentions but without biblical grounding derails into catastrophic destruction by the antichrist.

The United States was born as a naval trading nation, and, two centuries before the oil boom, 20 percent of this trade was with the Middle East, which were also the hunting ground of Barbary corsairs. Thomas Jefferson insisted that the United States build a naval force to protect its maritime freedom. One of the arguments for the new U.S. Constitution was that a stronger federal government was needed to raise funds for just such a military force.

The American presence in the Middle East has revolved around faith and power.

Power — whether military, diplomatic, or economic — is the pursuit of tangible American interests in the Middle East. Morocco was the first foreign country to recognize U.S. independence in 1777, and one of the first treaties made by the new U.S. government. Finding the right balance between friendly and adversarial power relations with Middle East players has challenged American leaders ever since.

Faith emerged from the colonial legacy established by Puritans and other Christians. The new United States viewed itself as a nation created not for its own benefit alone, but for the benefit of all humanity. The founding fathers agreed on this principle, looking back to the Old Testament and finding a God promising to rescue them from exile and restore them to the Holy Land. Quite a few religious American settlers appropriated those promises and considered themselves the “new Jews.” Some also believed that the return of the Jewish people to Palestine would make the country “bloom like a rose.” Similar sentiments found elaborate expression in the bestselling mid-1800s book Valley of the Vision by George Bush — ancestor of the two modern-day presidents.

In the twentieth century, U.S. policy toward the Middle East often involved the intersection of faith (whether in a democratic or religious mission) and power politics, with mixed results.

In 1948, Harry Truman — privately comparing himself to Cyrus, the Persian emperor who permitted the Jews to return to Judea from Babylonian exile — took pride in helping to re-create a Jewish nation by making the United States the first country to recognize the state of Israel. This illustrates how modern-day U.S. support for Israel is part of a long history of popular, partly faith-based sympathy for Jewish restoration to the Holy Land, almost as long as that of the United States itself.

We can’t miss the fact that America took over the “estate” of Nazi Germany’s military, technological and medical advances. At the same time the American president meets the prophetic criteria that:

“Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom:” (Daniel 11:20)

And taxation in America was indeed a big new deal at this time.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal programs forced an increase in taxes to generate needed funds.

  • The Revenue Act of 1935 introduced
  • the Wealth Tax, a new progressive tax that took up to 75 percent of the highest incomes.
  • The Revenue Act of 1937 cracked down on tax evasion by revising tax laws and regulations.

The cost of World War II far exceeded federal tax revenues, and the planned development and production of nuclear weapons promised to be a hugely expensive undertaking. The Revenue Act of 1942 proposed the Victory Tax, the broadest and most progressive tax in American history. To ease taxpayers’ burden of paying a lump sum from this mass tax, and to create a regular flow of revenue into the Treasury, the government required employers to withhold money from employees’ paychecks. By the end of the war in 1945, about 90 percent of American workers submitted income tax forms.

And in his estate shall stand up a vile / deceiving person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom [i.e. a ticker tape parade glorifying the victorious general in the manner of the Roman triumph:] but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.” (Daniel 11:21-23)

In 1948 America became Israel’s primary ally by securing Jerusalem against Moslem incursion. That tells us everything we need to know about America’s current and future role in Daniel’s prophetic Fourth Empire as the Northern King with whom Israel makes a political alliance in direct contravention of YHVH’s demand that Israel depends on him alone.

From March 3, 2025:

“Donald Trump is the greatest friend that Israel has ever had in the White House,” Netanyahu said…“He’s shown it by sending us all the munitions that were being held up.”

How can any sentient person not recognize that America replaced Great Britain as the most powerful World empire, apparent in assuming:

  1. Great Britain’s economic power
  2. Great Britain’s naval superiority
  3. Germany’s cutting edge scientific brainpower, in particular,
  4. Nazi rocket science to launch the Space Age

The United States of America’s economic and military presence spanning the world through its assumption of Britain’s economic and Germany’s military power is unquestionably the current iteration of the western leg of the Roman Republic. Daniel’s northern king can only be the office of the President of the United States.

Belief in false messiahs has caused untold Jewish suffering over the past 2,000 years, and threatens us today. The medieval sage Maimonides, considered a heretic in his day, but now venerated by today’s Orthodox, declared that all Jews must affirm, “I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the messiah and even if he tarries, nevertheless, I will await him every day.” For the Orthdox, perfect faith means “blind faith” and provides a perfect storm for disaster. History confirms Einstein’s observation that “Blind belief in authority is the greatest enemy of the truth.”

The word “dis-aster” literally means a bad star, and one of the greatest disasters in Jewish history was brought about by the so-called, “son of a star,” or in Aramaic Bar Kochba, the false messiah, who was heralded by Orthodox legend Rabbi Akiva, as the long awaited Jewish king, who would deliver the Jews from Roman occupation. This irrational claim led to an ill-advised Jewish revolt against Rome in 135 CE, which resulted in the loss of our homeland and nearly 2,000 years of bitter exile and tragedy for the Jews.

On Dec. 25, we recall an even more famous false Jewish messiah with dire consequences, when Christians celebrate the alleged birth of Jesus, who was also claimed to be born under a star. Absurdly believing that a crucified failed leader of a Jewish revolt against Rome was the messiah, these misguided Jews, spread a crazed messianic fervor to even less informed non-Jews that produced a pagan off-shoot of Judaism that subjected millions of Jews to centuries of ghettos, inquisitions, crusades, pogroms and the Holocaust, because of our refusal to accept idolatrous, mythological beliefs about Jesus.

Given the pagan off-shoot of Judaism that became Christianity, and the horrific history of persecution of the Jews by Christianity, this rabbi’s rejection of the leader(s) of that corrupted belief system is on target. Christianity replaced the lowly Jewish Yeshua hamashiach with the socially acceptable Sol Invictus. Unfortunately this rabbi overshoots as he tracks back in time to pinpoint the false messiahs, but he is on target in current events.

Today, this blind messianic fervor…is far more sinister when it comes to the abject, craven genuflection of many right wing Jews to Donald Trump. Like Sabbatai Zevi, Trump approved and shared by twitter the blasphemous claim by one of his “nitwitter” followers, that he is “the King of Israel and the second coming of God.” Trump also denounced most American Jews as disloyal, (an old anti-Semitic canard), if they do not support him. Rather than defending fellow Jews and the Jewish religion from sacrilege, most right wing Jews place their blind faith in Trump over their Jewish faith.

You do realize that this does applies equally to right-wing Christians who place their blind faith in American Presidents.
