What many readers may have missed in the list of twelve tribes’ varied inheritances detailed in Genesis 49 is that when Jacob cut both of Joseph’s two sons Ephraim and Manassas into the 12-way split of land, he took Dan out of an inheritance.

“Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.” (Genesis 49:16-17)
The clear description of Dan as a sneaky death-dealing saboteur of his brethren is confirmed by the use of as + noun means ‘in the role of’, distinguished from like + noun meaning ‘in the same way as’.
Dan has been a pretender all along.
Dan’s name, not given by Jacob, but by his mother Rachel, means “Elohim hath judged / din me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.” (Genesis 30:1-6) The King James Bible has translated “elohim” as “Almighty God”, but Rachel proved her paganism when, as she fled with Jacob back to the land of Canaan, she stole her father’s gods / elohim, clearly believing THEY empowered her, as she did not relinquish them until forced to by her husband.
This interpretation is confirmed by the fact that the name Rachel chose – Dan – was known as the place-name / name of its founder of one of Canaan’s giant hybrid tribes.
“And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants…and pursued them unto Dan…the left hand of Damascus.
This has nothing to do with the tribe of Dan, which didn’t yet exist. And these geographical details are put there for a reason.
On the left of Damascus is Mount Hermon, where the pre-flood fallen angels set up base camp for invading earth to breed demigod monsters with human women (Genesis 6:1-4) The ancient city-state of Dan was therefore a Canaanite giant stronghold along with the other giant city-states referenced in Genesis 14 at this early stage of post-flood history.

Upon entering the land of Canaan to finally take possession of the promised inheritance Moses prophesied that
“Dan is a lion’s whelp: he shall [future tense] leap from Bashan.” (Deuteronomy 33:22)
Like Jacob’s prophecy, this too reflected Dan’s inherently evil nature: “Bashan, which was called the land of giants.” (Deuteronomy 3:12)
Dan’s choice to reject The Hebrew God is detailed in the book of Judges, a quick synopsis here:
“the Amorites [giants] forced the children of Dan into the mountain: for they would not suffer them to come down to the valley [so impoverished quality of life akin to that of the Appalachian mountain people]… [cocking an eyebrow here] yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed [i.e. in comparison to the Danites failure to win their battles due to their failure to trust in God.]
the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in…came to Laish…and saw…how they dwelt careless, quiet and secure.”
This was outside the boundary inherited by the twelve tribes for the very reason of their peaceableness. The Israelites were instructed to wipe out the evil giant tribes.
“And there went from thence of the family of the Danites…unto mount Ephraim, and came unto the house of Micah…and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image [golden calves]. And they said unto [the priest]…go with us, and be to us a father and a priest…And they…came unto Laish…and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with fire…set up the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh [son of Joseph, not a Levite], he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land.” (Judges 18)
The captivity of the northern tribes of Israel for this same apostacy occurred when “Tiglathpileser, king of Assyria, took the northern ten tribes captive to Assyria.” (II Kings 15:29), but Dan would likely have been exempt because it wasn’t part of Israel. Since Israel’s prophecies are fulfilled in the “last” days, we can identify the tribe of Dan in our day as the Druze.
Druze is a small Middle Eastern religious sect characterized by an eclectic system of doctrines and by a cohesion and loyalty among its members that have enabled them to maintain for centuries their close-knit identity. The Druze live mostly in Lebanon, Syria, and Israel. They call themselves muwaḥḥidūn (“unitarians”).
The Druze religion is believed to have started in Egypt. Its mystery teachings are known only to a privileged few leaders. The Druze keep to themselves and even today do not allow conversion to Druze or marriage to non-Druze. An immigrant work colleague of mine, struggling between his desire to marry an American girl and his father’s threat to permanently disown him, asked for my advice, since I was steeped in the culture from my 15 year marriage to a Lebanese immigrant. I could only tell him that being disowned was a better option than the alternative – constant attacks against the wife, but one way or another it was up to him to choose birth family or an American wife, he’d never have both.
The same goes for everyone’s spiritual family. Simply being born into a certain religion doesn’t confer membership in God’s family. “Ye must be born again” by choice, giving up one’s previous identity.
The Hebrew scriptures don’t describe the creation of the original sons of God, they simply state their existence in heaven prior to the creation of earth / mass from which mankind was made, when it was just being plotted out. (Plotted. Get it?)
We can change the order of the phrasing without changing the truth:
“when I laid the foundations of the earth…all the sons of God shouted for joy.” (Job 38:4-7)
“All the sons of God shouted for joy…when I laid the foundations of the earth.”
This establishes these sons of God as pure hyperdimensional energy beings. In modern science this is known as cloning. A clone is a group of identical cells that share a common ancestry, meaning they are derived from the same cell. In biology these are called “daughters” rather than sons, but offspring nonetheless.

A man could even adopt a foreign slave as his son and then make him his begotten son / heir, as was Abram’s intention towards his steward, Eliezar of Damascus. This was as clearly understood as the process of illegal aliens being granted citizenship in the U.S. is today.
It is only when we understand this ancient but not extinct concept of fatherhood that we can grasp what is meant in the biblical references to becoming a son of God, most apparent in the process of a child’s entitlements, rights and privileges being established not by the fact of physical generation but through election / choice granted solely at the discretion of the father.
The concept of sonship in Hebrew family life, which underlies all OT and Jewish thought on the subject, is that a son is one designated or acknowledged as such by a father…the father-son relationship is not primarily physical but rather an interpersonal one created by a sovereign act of the father. The son is to be obedient to, submissive to and dependent upon his father. The perfect son then is the incarnation and extension of his father’s will and character, and he points to his father, not to himself. If he is the Son of God in the unique sense that the NT claims for Jesus, then he will incarnate the demands of God’s righteousness, and he will present the demand for discipleship, the demand for obedience, obedience however not to the Son as such but to God the Father, that is, to the Father’s will as made manifest by the Son. Thus the concept of Son of God on OT-Jewish lines is basically moral, interpersonal and theocentric.

- It is not enforced by any outside authority on legal or genetic bonds, but
- publicly conferred, like knighthood by the head of the family,
- usually after some public demonstration by the child confirming shared spirit or vitality,
- and as a maturing adult in executing the father’s will.
Currently in Christian society a man’s responsibility for providing for a child may be rejected by the father, enforced only by a paternity test establishing that he is in fact the father. In ancient societies every man had the right to reject an unwanted child, or to accept one, regardless of the status of the mother, be she wife, concubine, or harlot. And just so, in this legal cultural process, was Jesus acknowledged by Joseph despite being conceived by Mary prior to having intercourse with him, and bequeathed his inheritance as the son of David, rightful King of Israel.
The hyperdimensional clones of God identity as “sons” has nothing to do with gender but rather their acceptance by the Creator into his family, as any one or more of the following entities.
Gods
“God standeth in the congregation of the mighty / elohim…I have said, Ye are gods / elohim…children of the most High [God].” (Psalm 82) Like their Father, these gods are above and beyond the limiting dimensions of spacetime, able to operate in the eternal, immortal dimensions.

“And God made two great lights [as God is light]; the greater light to rule / govern / have dominion over the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven…to rule” [over beings subject to their authority]. When we interpret this according to scripture, we understand that these lights in the heaven are sentient beings with God-given responsibilities. Compare to “Unto the woman he said, “thy…husband…shall rule over thee.” (Genesis 1:14-18, 3:16)
This accords with pagan records claiming these are their gods of the sun, moon, etc, which are corruptions of God’s word, in contrast to a humanistic viewpoint which claims they are purely imaginative myth.
This also accords with the biblical and apocryphal documentation that the heavenly beings had positions of governance in God’s kingdom, what were known in olden days as their “estate“. These assigned governing roles in the kingdom are different from property which is called “real estate”, i.e. “material or tangible”.
“Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven…the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they…transgress not against their appointed order…I saw the paths of the angels. (Enoch 2:1, 6:11-12)
For Americans raised in a republic, England’s kingdom system clarifies that “appointed order” means the sequential hierarchy of importance applied to individuals for Peers of the Realm, officers of state, senior members of the clergy, and holders of the various Orders of Chivalry. The King or Queen of the United Kingdom, as the sovereign, is always first in the order of precedence. A person’s position in an order of precedence dictates the order in a procession or succession—who replaces the head of state as necessary. In 2026 we are seeing the relevance of this established order in Iran when virtually the entire government was wiped out in one attack. The governance of the country – essentially its defense – continued without a hitch by order of succession.
Details in the relevant posts, but at least the phrases “I will sit also…I will be like the Most High!!” (Isaiah 14:13-14) should come to mind in the context of appointed order in God’s kingdom.

Unlike Western poetry that repeats sounds in rhyme, Hebrew poetry fortuitously repeats thoughts in a rhythm which functions as a thesaurus. “Praise ye the LORD from the heavens…Praise ye him, all his angels…all ye stars of light.“(Psalm 148:1-3)
-
These bridge the spirit and material worlds by using their godly power c2 to convert some of their energy to mass to interact with humans, and back again to resume pure energy / hyperdimensional form.
Unlike the stars who stick to their appointed paths, “the angels [hyperdimensional beings who took on physical form] which kept not their first estate [assigned role in God’s kingdom], but left their [souls’] own habitation [going from hyperdimensional to material bodies],” (Jude 1:7) are “the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.” (Genesis 6:2)

Ministers is exactly what we understand it to be – a leadership appointment, with governing responsibilities in representation, communication, law, humanitarian aid, support, education, defense.
“of the angels he saith..Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:7, 14)
Counsellors presiding over a divine council gathering evidence and make decisions, the ultimate Supreme Court.
“I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner... And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.” (II Kings 22:19-22)
Some reflect earthly creatures.
“the cherubims…had four faces…a cherub…a man…a lion…an eagle.” (Ezekiel 10:8-15)
Angels
Some are perceived as UFOs
The cherubim are carried in something that at first seems to be a self-controlled high tech vehicle, but is also, like a horse, a sentient living being.
“And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims…
- when the cherubims went…lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth…stood
- the wheels went by them: and…the same wheels also turned not from beside them…stood…
for the spirit of the living creature was in them.” (Ezekiel 10:9-17)
Holy ones and Saints – sanctified, or set apart to God, the real Untouchables, refusing to be corrupted. Once we understand this we realize that the purpose of God’s commandments is not to isolate God’s workers from the rest of the world, but to insulate us from the evil that surrounds and would corrupt us, so that we can effectively represent God as we fight his battles in the world.
“The LORD came from Sinai…and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.” (Deuteronomy 33:2-3)
Mighty ones / Powerful Ones – Overcoming physically impossible odds in the power of God’s spirit.
“Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near…cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD…for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about…for their wickedness is great.” (Joel 3)
Host is a large assembly, at the most basic level, an army at the ready. Interestingly, hyper dimensional horses and “chariots” are reported, perhaps using known images in a feeble attempt to describe what was surely indescribable.
“…the king of Syria…sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host…And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” (II Kings 6:17)
Watchers describe holy ones who are security guards, super-visors, over-seers. Just as in any human agency, supervisors are actively engaged in spotting problems within their sphere of responsibility and reporting them to their bosses to obtain instructions and authorization for handling them.
“I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and [the same individual is also] an holy one came down from heaven; He cried aloud, and said…This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” (Daniel 4:13-18)
There really are guardian angels, which explains how children survive into adulthood.
“Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them…Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father [faster than AI access] which is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:1-10)
