Actually, Bishop Ussher began with the genealogies in Genesis 5 with the lifespans of Adam onward, which only makes sense. If this writer – from Stanford University, ranked #6 in U.S. colleges in 2022 – can’t get the basic database straight how can we trust anything else he reports?

The Bible has left unquestionable evidence validating the biblical record of its use in judgment from multiple scientific fields of multiple floods that occurred during Earth’s geological ages and the last in historic time, demanding scientific acceptance of the predictive validity of future occurrences for the same moral and sociological reasons.

The Bible proves itself to be valid by setting the precedent for U.S. federal law, 14 CFR Part 13 Subpart F which requires that investigators must collect and assess evidence from multiple sources to ensure findings are well-supported, AKA validated.
Lyell’s uniformitarianism has zero validity and massive amounts of detracting evidence, while Noah’s flood has multiple witnesses in every ancient culture around the world at the time of the flood preserving the history of a great flood. Biblical reliability is established by millennia of recurring incidents up through and including our ow era.
Current research showing where some of Earth’s water originated confirms the historical account of Noah’s flood (pun alert) precipitated by two sources.

Some of the world’s oldest cave paintings have revealed how ancient people had relatively advanced knowledge of astronomy. Researchers studying details of Palaeolithic / preflood and Neolithic / post flood art at sites in Turkey, Spain, France and Germany found all the sites, despite the artwork being separated in time, used the same sophisticated astronomical method of date-keeping.

The Lascaux Shaft Scene in France which features a man and several animals may commemorate a comet strike in association with the biblical account of the flood.
Bruce Masse, an environmental archaeologist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, believes that clues about the catastrophe are hiding in plain sight, embedded in ancient legends in 175 cultures around the world about a great flood, many of them describing a 3-mile-wide cometa ball of rock and ice. When it smashed into the ocean spraying superheated water vapor and particulates into the atmosphere as aerosolized as a spray can of cleaner, it blasted its way into jet streams, spawning super hurricanes that pummeled the entire world, making it the single most lethal event in history. Cross-checking historical records with astronomical data, Masse came up with a date of May 10, 2807 B.C. – consistent within reasonable limits with Torah-based date of ~2300 BC.
The Chinese ‘book of all knowledge’…a 4,320-volume collection told of the repercussions of mankind’s rebellion against the gods: “The Earth was shaken to its foundations…The sun, moon, and stars changed their motions. The Earth fell to pieces and the waters in its bosom rushed upwards with violence and overflowed the Earth.”
A comet crashing into the Indian Ocean generating a giant tsunami that flooded coastal lands around 3000–2800 BCE, consistent with the biblical date of the flood.

- Giant tsunamis would swamp the land area of the world
- Vast quantities of water would jet up into the lower atmosphere, to fall back on the land as rain
- The earth’s crust would be broken up into the tectonic plates we see today
- Vast amounts of molten magma would flow up into the sea through the fractured sea bed, turning millions or billions of gallons of sea water into steam, which would rise up into the lower atmosphere and then fall back to earth as rain
- A run-away process of subduction – rapid movement of the tectonic plates – would divide the single land mass into the separated continents we see today
As the ocean floor (in the areas of the ocean trenches) sinks into the mantle, it drags the rest of the ocean floor with it, in a conveyor-belt-like fashion. The sinking slabs of cold ocean floor produce stress in the surrounding hot mantle rock. These stresses, in turn, cause the rock to become hotter and more deformable, allowing ocean slabs to sink even faster.
The ultimate result is a runaway process that causes the entire pre-Flood ocean floor to sink to the bottom of the mantle in a matter of a few weeks…

Fountains Of The Earth Broken Up
Two of the most destructive forces of nature – earthquakes and tsunamis – might actually be a bigger threat than previously thought, according to new research.
The deadliest volcanic eruption in history – Mount Tambora in 1815 -killed 100,000 people in the direct impact. Only 100,000, because it was in a sparsely populated area. But tens of millions more died later around the world, and from other volcanoes in the Sunda Arc where the Indo-Australian Plate subducts beneath the Eurasian Plate.
Charles Lyell died in 1875, so had this information available to factor into his uniformitarian imaginations, but he didn’t, betraying his religious rather than claimed scientific basis for his theory.
The 1883 eruption of Krakatau / “Krakatoa”), documented in real time by newly developed tools, established the credibility of the biblical account of world-wide flooding. The atmospheric shockwave from the explosion was measured on barometers in London, Washington, and Tokyo as it circled the world for five days. Eyewitness accounts telegraphed in real time increased scientific accuracy and broadened knowledge through integration of multiple datasets.
The collapse of two-thirds of Krakatau Island displaced a staggering volume of seawater. The largest recorded wave was taller than a 12-story building with multiple smaller waves destroying 295 towns and depositing a gunboat 2.5 km inland, 9 meters above sea level. Over 34,000 of the 36,417 confirmed deaths were caused by the tsunamis.

The Toba Caldera (Indonesia), killed 60% of the population many years ago.
This compares to the largest documented earthquake, the 1960 Valdivia, which hit southern Chile with the same magnitude, with approximately 1,655 killed, 3,000 injured, 2,000,000 homeless, and $550 million damage. Tsunamis barreling across the Pacific Ocean caused 61 deaths, $75 million damage in Hawaii; 138 deaths and $50 million damage in Japan; 32 dead and missing in the Philippines; and $500,000 damage to the west coast of the United States.
The Valdivia earthquake was caused when a tectonic plate was forced, or subducted, underneath another plate, and they become locked into place by friction. The colliding forces continue to build, exactly like levering a prybar into two pieces of wood nailed together, until the built-up energy rips apart, releasing not only the two pieces of mass but also the built-up energy of anything in the path of the force as a blow on the head of the prying worker, or as seismic waves through earth or water.
A newly discovered ancient megaquake that struck about 3,800 years ago – a date consistent with Noah’s Flood – was even bigger, coming from a tectonic plate rupture 620 miles (1,000 km) long. The subsequent tsunami created waves as high as 66 feet (20 meters) and hurled car-size boulders hundreds of miles inland.
