From a biblical perspective the fact of giants after the Flood is not in question. 

We can rephrase the statement regarding the production of the hybrids without changing any of the meaning: 

1. “There were giants in the earth in those days [before the flood] when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them,
2. and also after that [the flood], the same [offspring after the flood] became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” (Genesis 6:4)

The only question debated is how these hybrid giants were produced after the flood, since the punishment on the pre-flood fallen angels was so severe as to prevent recurrence.

“the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day…set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” (Jude 6-7)

So what is another explanation for the production of giants after the flood?

Pituitary tumors that trigger excess production of growth hormone account for most modern cases of gigantism. However, these giants suffer from crippling bone ailments so aren’t mighty.

Steroidal hormone drugs use would also account for the notoriously aggressive exploits as driven by ‘roid rage.  However, this does not account for increased height, is not hereditary, and the effects wear off as soon as the body builder stops exercising or using drugs.

Scientifically, there is no question that gigantism is a result of genetic activity either failing to check, or increasing, growth processes in response to naturally produced hormones and other metabolites increasing muscle and bone.

DNA evidence from ancient bones prove that hominins existed as separate species at the same time as homo sapiens. They were much larger and stronger than homo sapiens, powerful hunters capable of killing giant animals such as mammoths.

Since the mid-1990’s archeologist Dr. Zilhão has argued that there was no significant cognitive or cultural gap between Neanderthals and modern humans. His fieldwork in Spain indicating Neanderthals’ capacity for symbolic thought through creating cave art and jewelry points to a history of gene flow and cultural diffusion between the two groups.

The same DNA research leaves Evolutionists with the quandary that there is absolutely no trace evidence for direct ancestors of Neanderthals and related Denisovans,

 

nor what happened to wipe out such powerful warriors. 

These scientific findings validate the direct statement in the biblical account of giants being procreated from the interbreeding of humans with fallen angels / temporarily materialized spirit beings procreating hybrid offspring with materialized genes, who were subsequently completely wiped out at the world-wide flood.

Except for the research which has shown that at this time humans still carry a small amount of Neanderthal / Denisovan / angelic genes, which provides unimpeachable evidence that the same fallen angel genes implanted into the human genome before the flood were carried through the flood to reassemble into giants “also after that” by unions between two humans both carrying giant genes that made it through the flood.

1. “we saw the giants the sons of Anak [a current father]
2. which come of [from the past] the giants.” (Numbers 13:31-33)

Research shows that at this time humans still carry a small amount of Neanderthal / Denisovan / angelic genes.

This raises two questions

1. What percentage of non-homo sapiens genes does it take to define someone as a hybrid?
2. Are such people doomed to perdition like the giants, excluded from the possibility of salvation?

To answer that question, we need to examine, not genes, but the spirit that is in a human, which, at death, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:7

Therefore, the key identification as a human is one whose spirit came from God and returns to God.

This excludes the pre-flood hybrids “because from above they were created, from the [fallen] Holy Watchers was their origin…‘Spirits of the Evil Ones’ they will be called.”

In contrast, the post-flood giants who were genetically engineered through inbreeding among humans obtained their spirit / energy initially breathed into Adam from YHVH, then cloned into the Woman, then passed down to all human descendants through the mitochondria in the mother’s egg cell. Therefore they are “written in the book of life”, able to be saved from eternal death.

The proof of this deduction is found during the heyday of post-flood gigantism with three Amorite giants.

“Abram the Hebrew…dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram…Abraham…the father of all them that believe…who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham.” (Genesis 14, Romans 12:1-12)
