40) “In The Beginning” Strikes A Death Knell

If we are ever going to understand how the massive amount of information, documented and preserved over thousands of years by multiple authors in a variety of cultures applies to us in our culture, we must understand basic literature construction.

Theme refers to the central, deeper meaning of a written work.

Writers typically will not directly state the theme, but tease the reader to perceive and interpret it. The reason every high school English teacher struggles to pull this skill out of their students is that the process of reflecting on the theme not only leads the reader to develop a greater understanding of the work itself, but a means of grasping a better sense of the world.

Themes are recognizable by the repetition of key ideas and forces driving the plot forward from its beginning to the climax and conclusion.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was / became formless and void, and darkness…And God divided the light from the darkness.” (Genesis 1:1-2)

“That which was from the beginningis the message which we…declare unto you, that God is light / life, and in him is no darkness / destruction at all.” (John 1, I John 1).

“In the beginning” defines the start of time, which is scientifically determined to flow only into the future by the Second Law of Thermodynamics as the inevitable natural increase in disorder when no additional energy is added to a closed system.

The law that entropy always increases holds, I think, the supreme position among the laws of Nature.”

Detractors of God’s handiwork like to claim a past tense to the word “was”, in other words, that God created a formless and void universe, allowing deep time for evolution.

This interpretation does not hold up under scrutiny. “Was” is used to denote a change in state.

“he drank of the wine [prior to being drunk], and was / came to be drunken; and he was / came to be uncovered” (Genesis 9:21)

“Esau came from the field [where while hunting with strength], and he was / came to be faint” (Genesis 25:29)

The theme of the Bible is stated in the very first sentences as “the establishment of the kingdom of God” against opposition.

“And the Spirit of God moved upon the [sur]face of the waters / chaotic form of molecules, compare to solid form of ice. And God said, Let there be / command performance, NOT creation of]light:and there was / came to belight.” (Genesis 1:3-4)

I…commanded the morning / light [following the night / dark]That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it…from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken. (Job 38:4-15)

These passages define the Bible’s theme as

    • God being the Infinite Force of Creation

    • opposed by Forces of Destruction in Time.

confirmed by:

“the angel…lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” (Revelation 10:5-7)

We have to read Job’s account of Creation to learn what was happening during the hyperdimensional, eternal dimension before The Big Bang of a starter pistol began the stopwatch on the beginning of this racing-to-the-finish universe.

“when I laid the foundations of the earth…the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.” (Job 38:4-7)

The oldest extant (still in existence) physical record of creation is the Sumerian Enuma Elis[h], preserved on clay tablets inscribed in cuneiform that are dated to ~2100 BC. i.e. shortly after Noah’s flood. These would be duplicates of older records, as it is generally agreed by Assyriologists that the Sumerian culture came into existence about 3500 BC.

Cuneiform is the world’s first-known written language, emerging about 3,000 BC.

From a biblical perspective the emergence of cuneiform smack in the middle of “the days of Jared” when the fallen angels came to earth identifies this communication system as belonging to the false gods. This consideration is confirmed by the purposes for which it was used by the gods’ sacred kings, their priests and city administrators to track the god’s astronomical observations, keep records of the goods that were received through sacrifices, business and trade.2

So let’s take a look at what the fallen angels from this dark universe were telling their earthly servants.

Enuma Elise [The Heavens]

When skies above were not yet named…

Still understood from contemporary casting of magical spells, the ancients knew that naming a thing called it into existence and brought it under the namer’s power.

Then gods were born within them.

The Enuma Elish is paralleled by the Vedas – the oldest scriptures of Hindu literature, which like the Sumerian account refuses to acknowledge a Supreme Creator.

“Who verily knows and who can declare it, whence it was born and whence comes this creation?

The Gods are latter than this world’s production. Who knows thence first it came into being?

He, the first origin of this creation, whether he formed it all or did not form it,

By leaving unanswered whether the first / original god had any definite knowledge about creation we can see the origins of what is supposedly “purely” scientific, but is in actuality an alternate religion, of evolution of life from a primordial chaos of atoms in the pagan accounts.

The Sumerian Enuma Elis(h)’s version of Creation parallels Genesis enough to support detractors of the Bible’s claim that the Hebrews plagiarized the Sumerians while transferring credit to the Hebrew divinity.

But the Hebrew scriptures clearly did not plagiarize what they alone state confidently – that a Supreme Pre-existent Being created the heavens and the earth with forethought and intent and objectives. This is one massive difference.

Copyright restrictions limit the declaration of life energy being outsourced from the infinite supply of the Singularity Creator to the Bible and only the Bible.

“I am the LORD / Ani YHVH: that is my name / identity: and my glory / victory against opposition will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” (Isaiah 42:8)

And indeed, the Supreme god of creation called Ani in Hebrew, “I am” expressing the characteristic of Infinity overshadowing Time as always Being in every moment, and Infinite in power as the force of c2 that converts energy to mass to energy, is recognizable as Anu in Sumerian, Ur-anu-s in Greek.

Anu retained his essential character and high status throughout Mesopotamian history.

“Indeed, when other gods are elevated to a position of leadership, they are said to receive the anûtu, the “Anu-power”. In Enuma Elis the gods express Marduk’s authority over them by declaring:” Your word is Anu!” (Tablet IV, lines 4-6).

Ani’s / Anu’s power was established by the enforcement of his word over any opposition to the execution of his plan.

This “mythological” power is validated by physics’ discovery that entropy / disorder can only be replaced with order / enthalpy in systems that have energy input from another system.

According to the Greek version, as soon as the Earth / Gaia is created the forces of Darkness are driven by Desire (consistent with Lucifer saying “I will I will I will!), to overthrow the earth with a watery Abyss, bringing on Night.

Darkness is not simply the absence of daylight, it is the opposite of daylight, with its own works, characterized by destructive forces opposing God’s life-giving work.

What Is Dark Energy?

it is a complete mystery. But it is an important mystery…The rest – everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all of our instruments, all normal matter – adds up to less than 5% of the universe…

We are much more certain what dark matter is not than we are what it is.

First, it is dark, meaning that it is not…visible…Second, it is not in the form of…normal matter…Third, dark matter is not antimatter, because we do not see the unique gamma rays that are produced when antimatter annihilates with matter. Finally, we can rule out large galaxy-sized black holes.

(O)Uranus / Ur-Ani-s continues his creation bringing the light of Day while mammoth storms / Typhoons batter the earth every night. He barricades Chaos from Earth with the heaven / firmament and confines earth’s floodwater in a sea by uplifting Mountains.

Darkness and Night bring about the states of Doom, Death, Sleep, Retribution, Blame, Aging, Strife, Deceit, and Distress, but precisely because of these conditions, also Dreams / Hopes and Affection.

“and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.

And the evening [midday to darkness and [second separate period of time] the morning [daybreak to midday, roughly 6:00 am to noon] were the first day.” (Genesis 1:4-5)

The battle for the world continues to be expressed throughout the entire first chapter at the most elementary level in the enigmatic recounting of “the evening and the morning.” Each creation day has the unspoken acknowledgment of the interjection, in the middle of each day’s work, of the opposing forces of darkness.

Something like the London Blitz.

Only the Singularity God has the infinite power to convert energy to mass and back again, to input in order to sustain life of the body and soul through his spirit, to create and recreate one’s body.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my [the Savior’s] words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)

“For thus saith the LORD / I AM / Creator…Seek ye me, and ye shall live…Seek him that…turneth the shadow of death into the morning…The LORD / YHVH is his name.” (Amos 5:4-8)

“Giving thanks unto the Father,

  • which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
  • Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
  • and hath translated us into the [hyper dimensional] kingdom of his dear Son:” (Colossians 1:12-13)

Our placid lives and sanitized Sunday school stories have failed to give us a proper understanding of the Bible. It helps to put biblical words into suitable graphics. It’s rough, it’s tough, it’s dirty and bloody. It’s the true Game of Thrones.

The voice that thundered the universe into being – the real Big Bang – is the same voice that shouts his troops to follow him into battle to end the rebellion and establish his kingdom.

“He [God] is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?…Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth / locks up the stars.” (Job 9:3-7)

“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity / second law of physics of  degeneration, not willingly / an act of will like the woman, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” (Romans 8:19-21)

Studying the Bible is not just a matter of cultural-religious identity, or living right, or solving problems. It is a matter of life and death for humanity! Whose side will you be on? The word of truth, or the lie of the adversary?
