Galileo reasoned that if a ship [think earth] moved uniformly on the sea [upperspace with the sun, moon and stars], a sailor could not distinguish between the situations either the ship [earth] is in motion and the sea  [upper space] is at rest or the ship [earth] is at rest and the sea [upper space] is in motion.In Galileo’s view- the only motion that is measurable is the relative motion between the ship and the sea; hence the term “Relativity” was manifested first ever. The first step is to clarify what we mean by motion. Using Cartesian co-ordinate system in three dimensions, we can characterize any location by three co-ordinates of that space point. When we say that something is moving, what we mean is that its position relative to something else is changing. That is all motion is relative. In each case a frame of reference is part of the description of the motion.

In other words, the claims that the earth moves and the sun stands still is just a mental frame of reference placing the observer at the sun.

But we know that can never happen.

Therefore, it is equally scientific, from a frame of reference standing on the earth, to think in terms of the earth standing still and the sun, moon and stars moving around the earth 

This is why we tell our children not to stick their arms out of the car. It doesn’t matter if our own car is moving, the car we pass is moving, or both cars are moving. Our kid is going to lose that arm.

Einstein would later further develop this concept in his massive theories of General and Special Relativity in his effort to try to understand the nature of the material universe.

The “effort to understand” is called epistemology: the philosophical study of the nature, origin, and limits of human knowledge. “Along with metaphysics, logic, and ethics, it is one of the four main branches of philosophy.”

It is obvious that the nature, origin and and especially limits of human knowledge of astronomy are geocentric.

It becomes obvious that heliocentricity is Renaissance’s spiritual frame of reference honoring the gods as superior, while geocentricity is a biblical frame of reference honoring humans who were given this world as a base from which to rule all creation.

And here is where the globe model of the earth comes from.

The concept of heliocentricity requires movement by the earth: both rotation around the sun, and revolution on its axis.

A spherical revolving earth was not discovered by astronomers. 

It has not been observed and in fact is contrary to the earth’s flat plane axis by which all astronomical calculations are projected.

It was called into being during the Renaissance of the gods.

Ironically, one of the most compelling reasons for a geocentric claim comes from an attempt to debunk it.

In 1987 N.F. Gier stated that the “most conclusive reason for taking the Hebrew solid heaven literally is that such a view was all over the ancient world of the time.”

True that.

Quite logically, the ancient geocentric view did NOT present a spherical revolving planet.

Mr. Gier’s deduction that a solid heaven must be unscientific because all the ancient cultures held that opinion ignores the research value of statistics. We have thousands of years of data by multiple unrelated sources scattered linguistically, culturally, and geographically over eons of time proven to have tracked astronomical observations so accurately that their astronomers could predict the future placements of the heavenly bodies.

That is substantially more evidence than the Copernican Principle has provided with all the technological advances of our one world scientific community. In fact the simplest proof of a spherical revolving earth has ever been proven by the simplest expedient of looking at it from above.

You are trusting in what you are told by scientists, and they don’t prove what they claim to be reality. Forbe’s Five Impossible Facts That Would Have To Be True If the Earth Were Flat is argued from a perspective of a flat earth in an other-wise unchanged cosmology that itself has never been proven to be true. The only reason a round earth was conceived was to make it theoretically possible to revolve around the sun in order to replace a cosmology of the celestial beings revolving around the earth.

With all the uncertainty in astronomy imposed as FACTS on the masses with any questioning being strongly opposed at the highest levels, with billions of dollars being spent on “astronomy” with absolutely no way for us taxpayers to confirm the reality of what we’ve paid for, with mounting evidence that even astronauts and rockets can’t get through the firmament of the Van Allen Belts, we really have to question what they are telling us, and why they are so adamant that we believe them.

For starters, who are they?

According to a biblical world view, they include the hyper dimensional adversaries of humanity who are circling the earth like a pack of wolves around their prey, held back only by the celestial beings put in place in the barrier firmament to guard humanity.

This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory [military power] of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.” (Ezekiel 1)

I saw the winds / spirits which turn the sky, which cause…all the stars to set…I saw the path of the angels. I perceived at the extremity of the earth the firmament of heaven above it. (Enoch 17:6-8)

This is the first law of the luminaries. The sun and the light arrive at the gates of heaven, which are on the east, and on the west of it at the western gates of heaven. I beheld the gates whence the sun goes forth; and the gates where the sun sets; In which gates also the moon rises and sets; and I beheld the conductors of the stars, among those who precede them; six gates were at the rising, and six at the setting of the sun. All these respectively, one after another, are on a level; and numerous windows are on the right and on the left sides of those gates… (Enoch 71)

After this law I beheld another law of an inferior luminary, the name of which is the moon, and the orb of which is as the orb of heaven. Its chariot, which it secretly ascends, the wind blows; and light is given to it by measure. Every month at its exit and entrance it becomes changed; and its periods are as the periods of the sun. And when in like manner its light is to exist, its light is a seventh portion from the light of the sun…(Enoch 72)

These are the leaders of the chiefs of the thousands, those which preside over all creation, and over all the stars; And the days, Uriel showed me; the angel whom the Lord of glory appointed over all the luminaries…Conductors of the days and nights: the sun, the moon, the stars, and all the ministers of heaven, which make their circuit with all the chariots of heaven.

Thus Uriel showed me twelve gates…at the extremities of the earth, through which the sun, moon, and stars, and all the works of heaven, proceed at their rising and setting. I saw likewise the chariots of heaven, running in the world above to those gates in which the stars turn, which never set. One of these is greater than all, which goes round the whole world. Ridiculous! you say? What is ridiculous is taking a military government with known secret agencies at face value.

My most fascinating observations around the Flat Earth theory:

we are conditioned to move with the herd…These movements, like the conspiracy movement is forcing people to investigate for themselves. Even if they find warped evidence, or arrive at incorrect conclusions, I still think the point is people are asking questions, and I would imagine over time their skills of analysis and research would greatly improve. One learns nothing by simply being spoon fed information.

Blind defense of the globe model…Why do we defend an idea or strangers we have no direct investment in? We are terrified of having our safe comfortable view of the world challenged…Unlike other conspiracies this is the first time that I notice the conspiracy side, the flat earthers calmer and better researched by far, than the round earthers.

Most importantly: I also see these Flat Earthers as potentially an early indication of who are coming of age on this planet ehhhhh or plane…Will the next generation be awake enough to realise that they are responsible for their own lives, their money, their health and most crucially their education? A critical thinking population will analyse and assess every subject thrown at it, that may mean subjects you consider wacky and a waste of time, it may also mean subjects you may consider of the utmost importance. Put the subject of the flat earth to one side for a moment, we need thinkers, we need readers and researchers. We need people who are not afraid to be ridiculed, to stand out from the mob. 

OK, anyone with me, willing to question, to investigate, to think, not afraid to be ridiculed? Some of us have learned that religious, military and political leaders are out to exploit the gullible.

Apparent evidence for a flat model, added to questionable or obviously faked evidence for both a globe model and access to outer space, inspires those of us without a herd mentality to question and investigate for ourselves.

“I haven’t taken this position just to be difficult,” Shenton told The Guardian last year.

“To look around, the world does appear to be flat, so I think it is incumbent on others to prove decisively that it isn’t. And I don’t think that burden of proof has been met yet.”

Seriously? Natalie Wolchover, the author of the above article, offers one single photograph from NASA to prove the globe earth model?

To Ms. Wolchover, I offer these NASA images of our planet as they told us it looked over the last 50 years.

North America apparently shrunk in just one year without anyone on earth noticing.

What does Earth look like from outer space?…

about 200 miles (300 km) above Earth’s surface…about the height of the orbit of the International Space Station (ISS).

OBVIOUSLY this doesn’t prove anything. Not a globular earth nor the shape of any of the continents.

Weird that my cell phone can zoom out but the ISS can’t. Unless it already has to its max.

Let’s try the Hubble telescope.

If the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) could observe Earth from its orbit 570 kilometers (350 miles) above Earth’s surface…But it’s not possible to turn the telescope in an Earth-observing direction.Here’s why.

First, the brightness of Earth would damage the instruments aboard the telescope.

Hubble cannot look at the Sun directly and so must use reflected light to make measurements of the Sun’s spectrum.

So this “Hubble picture” is fake! What does that tell us about NASA’s credibility?

[Hubble’s] speed in orbit above Earth is so fast that any image it took would be blurred by the motion.

We don’t care.

We just want you to prove that the shape is a ball.

Are you putting your trust in a secret branch of government that “proves” its case for a globe earth with contradictory “photographic“ “evidence” that couldn’t hold up in a court of law, while admitting it hasn’t yet been done astronomically?

So that alone throws out all of NASA’s pictures “from space”.

This new shape takes into allowance a wider circumference in the southern hemisphere following an onslaught of evidence opposing the sphere-shaped earth.

The only way that airline flight routes make sense is on a flat earth model.

Again, we find the globe model adherents “debunking” by distracting from the real issue, which is NOT claiming that ALL Southern Hemisphere flights make stopovers in the northern hemisphere, simply that MANY do in a bizarrely extended flight path when plotted on a globe model.

I also find it fascinating that the majority of current travel patterns still cross through the Middle East. It’s like the Middle East is more accurately named Middle Earth. Oh, wait, it is. The Medi-terra-nean.

A second issue that is ignored, but glaringly evident by its absence in the global earth argument is that NO Southern Hemisphere flight paths take a direct route across what is depicted as the South Pole. Unlike with the flight paths over the North Pole, which were hindered only by the Cold War. (Get it? Cold…)

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of sites of archaeological importance throughout the world. Many of these sites seemed to be aligned.

The sites: Giza, Siwa, Tassili n’Ajjer, Paratoari, Ollantaytambo, Machupicchu, Nazca, Easter Island, Aneityum Island, Preah Vihear, Sukhothai, Pyay, Khajuraho, Mohenjo Daro, Persepolis, Ur, Petra are shown clockwise from Giza on the equal azimuthal projection.

The projection is centered on the axis point in southeastern Alaska. Distances to any location from the center of an equal azimuthal projection are equally scaled.

Since all of the sites on the great circle alignment are equally distant from the axis point at one quarter of the circumference of the earth, the alignment forms a perfect circle halfway between the center and the outer edge of the projection.

The Great Pyramid is aligned with Machupicchu, the Nazca lines and Easter Island along a straight line around the center of the Earth, within a margin of error of less than one tenth of one degree of latitude.

Other sites of ancient construction that are also within one tenth of one degree of this line include: Perseopolis, the capital city of ancient Persia; Mohenjo Daro, the ancient capital city of the Indus Valley; and the lost city of Petra. The Ancient Sumarian city of Ur and the temples at Angkor Wat are within one degree of latitude of this line.
