Zeus is the origin of the classic Greek account of the son who murders his father Cronus and marries his mother to gain power.
The famous Greek play Oedipus Rex is nearing its 2500 year mark. It has stood the test of time and can unashamedly be called a classic…
Aristotle not only praises Oedipus Rex but uses it as an ideal example of dramatic tragedy…On the surface, it seems quite awful. The beauty comes from the emotions it evokes within us. It is beautiful that a story two and a half millennia old can cause us to cry…
You may think you know or have read enough of Oedipus Rex. But if…you read carefully, I promise you that the beauty of tragedy will take affect.
The Hebrew records call him by many names, allowing us to define his characteristics.
- the great dragon – being the clone of the original dragon
- that old serpent
- called the Devil
- and Satan
- which deceiveth the whole world (Revelation 12:9-12)
In Greek mythology, Zeus was the incredible and all-powerful God of sky and thunder. He was also king of Mount Olympus, ruling over all the other gods. This position of high authority gave Zeus free reign to behave just as he liked, whenever he liked. He had a particular passion for women, and he moved his way from one love affair to the next, fathering an incredible number of children…
Extensive research suggests he might have fathered an impressive 92 different children, which is quite a feat, even for the king of Greek gods.
As valuable a strategy as this is for a human king to live on in his seed, it’s essential for a unique hyper dimensional creature.
[Sultan] Ismail Ibn Sharif…was the father of 888 children…1672 – 1727…he was very cruel.
Genghis Khan is known as one of the greatest warriors in the history of the world…it is actually possible that he could have been the father of thousands of people.
When we apply the knowledge that a hyper dimensional being has to spin off a significant amount of his own energy in cloning, that is really an amazing feat. The only explanation is that Zeus constantly took in far more energy than he expended. Zeus had learned this essential lesson from his father Cronus, who he was able to overpower when Cronus / Lucifer didn’t fuel up enough. Zeus by any of his names, including Satan, is indeed such a skill hunter of prey that he still roams the earth today.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your Adversary The Devil , as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith.” (I Peter 5:8-9)
Satan’s power comes from plundering his enemy’s resources. “He was always getting into one or another fight with the different gods and creatures of the Greek universe.”
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:3-9)
Zeus also coupled with other god(desses) to exploit their energy resources in procreating children. This was not just fathering a child, but maximizing the powerful qualities of their offspring through selecting the most desirable partner for their powerful attributes, regardless of the partner’s consent.
Many of Zeus’s most publicised love affairs were with divine goddesses, and this meant their children would inherit their parents’ almighty powers. Stories suggest at least 41 of Zeus’s children were gods or goddesses…His most famous divine daughters include Aphrodite, goddess of love, Athena, goddess of war, and Persephone, the goddess of spring. Zeus’s celebrated sons are also many, and include Apollo, god of the sun, light, music and poetry, Ares, god of war, and Hermes, messenger to the gods. His other divine children include the Three Graces, the Nine Muses, the Horai and the Morai…
He is creating an army to destroy his rivals.
When it comes to humans, his most effective strategy is deception.
Whether in the role of an ancient god who brings fertility, recovery from sickness, and a quality of life after death, or an alien astronaut who rescues his human followers from a zombie apocalypse or ecological collapse or world war, he represents himself as the true benefactor of mankind, the source of power and means to overcome human limitations.
“Now the serpent…said unto the woman…Ye shall not surely die…ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil [able to judge what is beneficial or destructive to you.]” (Gen 3:1-6)
This is the fundamental lie, perpetrated since time began, that humans don’t need Almighty Creator and Sustainer God – godhood is intrinsic to the self.
This is the antithesis of the Bible’s teaching that
- godhood is achieved by anyone
- who accepts provable truth freely manifested to all through God’s creation in the world and written word
- by an act of grace from a loving God.
The essential message of the Bible is the necessity for humans to recognize the truth and and choose life.
“Love not the world [material environment], neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh [tree was good for food], and the lust of the eyes [pleasant to the eyes], and the pride of life [desire to be independent of authority], is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” (I John 2:15-17)
Satan’s strategy is documented in Gnosticism, which became foundational to all ancient religions and elitists.
- Only those who learn his occult knowledge can achieve godhood empowerment over human limitations,
- through discovery of mysteries hidden to ordinary humans,
- by joining mystery cults in which the secrets are incrementally revealed over time as the initiate performs deeds advantageous to the cult proving himself worthy of the sacred knowledge.
Certain movements, such as Tantrism, Kundalini and Gnosticism, recognize the role of the pineal gland in the spiritual process. The spiritual / instinctive force was seen as a snake, because of the physical structure extending from the genitals, through the spine in one all-seeing eye in the pineal gland. These spiritual systems had focused on the raising of this primordial serpent energy, located in the genitals and lying at the base of the reproductive process. Through certain yoga exercises, breathing techniques, energy and toning exercises this energy can be reversed. It then travels through the spinal cord to the third eye and causes possible “enlightenment.”
“…the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of the Chosen One / Messiah / Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (II Corinthians 4:4)
Graham Hancock is a researcher into ancient history. A gnostic himself, he presents a very informative lecture on Gnosticism from the most ancient times. In this lecture he equates modern aliens with ancient gods, and is convinced that altered states of consciousness induced by natural substances like ayahuasca breaks the barrier between the physical and spiritual dimension.
“Blessed be the name / attributes of God for ever and ever:
- for wisdom and might are his:
- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
- he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might. (Daniel 2:20-23)
This is not some pointless esoteric argument about ancient mythology. If you will stay with this through to the end it will provide foundational understanding of the end of the world players and events. The clues provided in the beginning are often overlooked, always unintelligible, but as the persistent investigator adds pieces of new information they confirm the identity of the perpetrator. One reason Death In Paradise became a decades-long hit TV series is by applying this classic process to every episode.
The names of many Greek gods are based in the archaic Greek language, but Zeus’ is actually the exception. He’s one of the only Greek deities whose name can actually be traced back beyond the Greek language itself, all the way to Proto-Indo-European origins…
The Indo-European language family is the largest in the world today, with members ranging from Spanish to Russian to Punjabi to Persian to Greek and, of course, to English. Yes, all of those languages (and about 450 others) are related, and their common ancestry is a lost language of the Stone Age called Proto-Indo-European.
In the Proto-Indo-European language, dyeus…literally meant ”to shine”, a verb used to describe the action of the Sun…”Zeus” is…Latinized as dyeus (or sometimes the spelling variations of dieus or deiuo)…the root word from which the Latin deus was derived, translated through Germanic cultures into the word ”God”…
Dyeus (with a capital D) was a deity of the Proto-Indo-European people…a direct personification of the bright and clear daytime sky… In fact, in this sense, Dyeus may most directly be translated as ”Sky Father”.
We can recognize how Lucifer’s clone manifests his attribute / name of Son of the Morning and brightness.
The Sumerian god of the sun is called Utu.
The oldest documents naming Utu date to around 3500 BC, or midway between creation ~4,000 BC and the biblical flood of Noah ~3000 BC.
While written in Sumerian, this is not to presume that Sumerian was the first writing system. Like, or being, “the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans” (Daniel 1:5), this would have been developed as a secret code. To this day gnostic priests like the Freemasons use secrecy to secure a knowledge as power.
Utu was believed to emerge from the doors of Heaven every day at dawn and ride across the sky in his chariot before returning to the “interior of heaven” through a set of doors in the far west every evening.
In the image below two gods are holding the doors open for him. Note also how he is depicted with a weapon in his hand and his foot on the earth, a stance of conquering, in blatant defiance of God’s human ruler Adam / Enlil to whom was granted dominion.
“I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them…yea, they are fallen under my feet…them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.” (II Samuel 21:33-40)
“Thou (God) has put all things in subjection under his [son’s] feet.” (Hebrews 2:8)
When we place the Sumerian Utu with the Greek Zeus who overthrew and imprisoned his 1st generation father Cronus / Lucifer, we understand why the ancient Sumerian priests were so successful in promoting his worship. Fear!
As powerful as Lucifer was, any god who could overpower him must be unbeatable. Worship of Utu by that name lasted for well over 3,000 years, until the end of post-flood Mesopotamian culture. It then continued by the name of Zeus to this day.
[Zeus] was respected as an allfather who was chief of the gods and assigned roles to the others: “Even the gods who are not his natural children address him as Father, and all the gods rise in his presence.” He was equated with many foreign weather gods, permitting Pausanias to observe “That Zeus is king in heaven is a saying common to all men“.
As nations migrated from the Cradle of Civilization, his name was naturally translated into the different languages that developed, but his identifying characteristics as the sun god remained the same in all the cultures. This provides strong validation of a once common culture – one nation under one god.
Called Shamash in the Akkadian language of Sargon’s Assyrian Empire, he is typically portrayed with signature rays of light around the head and on the hat, and the sun disk. Just file away for now the observation that the image of the sun god Shamash below is a giant.
Moving east by a short trip by sea to the Indian subcontinent, we find Surya is an ancient Hindu god of the sun, light, day and wisdom.
Further east still by a long and arduous overland trip to Tibet, China and Japan we find a deva, or son of a god, named Marici in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, that goes by other names in the multitude of Eastern religions and sects. The origins of Marici are obscure; however, appear to be an amalgamation of
Indian and Iranian antecedents spanning 1500 years.
To the northeast, (colder so more clothes) Istanu is the Hittite Sun god of Heaven who rode across the heavens and was the patron deity of judges / arbiters of life and death, He was the foremost oath god in interstate covenants as well as the god of law and truth, identified on the royal seals by the winged solar disc.
Moving further north into Europe the Celtic sun god is called Belenus,“The Shining One”, as a descriptive. His festival is Beltine (Fire of Bel), modern Sabbat of Beltane celebrated in earnest by Wiccans on May 1 and apparently ignorantly by most others during May Day festivities, in the same way December 25 is celebrated by Christians as the birth of the sun god.
There is an interesting Indo-European link with the wild boar which is also part of the Celtic Belenus’ entourage.
Crossing the Atlantic Ocean to the Americas, which is not so far away as the inaccurate global map depicts, Huitzilopochtli is the sun god and deity of war and human sacrifice for the Aztecs, and Inti is the name of the same god for the Incas. The most common origins story of Inti saysthat he is the son of Viracocha, the god of civilization.
Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru still honor the sun god Inti in their stateinsignias.
He is the guardian of the primordial Waters of outer space.
Thor is the Norse equivalent to Zeus. Like Zeus, Thor is also called the god of thunder, lightning, rain, and weather.
