81) The Rival Gods

We know that the Sumerian version isn’t accurate, but I believe we can still catch a glimpse of the truth about humanity’s history in the Sumerian documents if we look closely at the characteristics and attributes of the individuals to discern their true identities.

Enlil, with An and Enki, form the supreme Mesopotamian triad of deities (Nötscher 1938: 382-387). Moreover, Enlil’s prominence and power can be seen in his titles and epithets: “The Great Mountain” (ETCSL 1.1.3: 3), “King of all the lands” (Vase Inscription of Lugalzagesi (ca. 2370 BCE) (Wang 2011: 134), “Father of the black headed people” (The Lament for Nibru, ETCSL 2.2.4: 134) “Father of the gods”, (The death of Gilgameš, ETCSL 1.8.13: 12), and “Nunamnir”, “The well respected” (An Adab to Enlil for Šulgi, ETCSL 2.4.2.07: 2), the latter being Enlil’s name that is only mentioned in literary and religious texts… ellilūtu, “Enlilship”, a term applied to others, both human and heavenly, who held paramount authority.

En-lil means Lord Wind / Spirit and corresponds to the biblical Adam who was granted kingship over earth by An / Ani / I Am / YHVH. Originally immortal, so classified along with the other immortals as a god, he continues his existence in the wind / spirit / life energy of all humanity, transferred first to his cloned partner Eve, and from her in the mitochondria in all females’ egg gametes required to procreate human children.

En-ki resides in the ocean / abyss underneath the earth called the abzu (Akkadian apsû), which was an important place in Mesopotamian cosmic geography. For example, the city of Babylon was said to have been built on top of the abzu. Sumerian texts about Enki often include overtly sexual portrayals of his virile masculinity…he is the ultimate source of all ritual knowledge used by exorcists to avert and expel evil.

En-Ki means Lord Earth which is as duplicitous as Lucifer who holds that name. It is a reflection of Lucifer’s rivalry with Adam to rule the earth, but in reality he was imprisoned under the earth for murdering the Adams.

Ea is considered a different name for the same individual Enki, which is half-true. He is the clone of Lucifer, the first Seed of the Serpent, Zeus to Cronus, called Satan in the Bible. Active in the world, he continues the destructive work of his imprisoned father Lucifer.

Ea is associated with mythical creatures, including the seven mythical sages TT  (apkallū) who were created for the purpose of teaching wisdom to humanity. Ea create humans so that they could perform work for the gods. These correspond to the hybrid humans and animals who were designed for the work of destroying God’s living creation.

The supreme god attempted to destroy Ea’s newly created humans with a devastating flood. But clever Ea foresaw Enlil’s plan; he instructed a sage  named Atrahasis to build an ark so that humanity could escape the destruction. This corresponds to smuggling unseen hyper dimensional / giant genes in occupants of the ark for perpetuation after the flood .

As part of his delegated responsibilities Enlil was the keeper of the Tablets of Destiny (or Tablet of Destinies) which contained the fates of gods and humanity. The Tablets of Destiny were considered an unstoppable force whose decisions could not be questioned.

That corresponds to the biblical book of judgments.

“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.” (Daniel 7:9-10)

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-13)

Could these tablets be Adam’s memoires of life with God before the fall, capturing his exclusive interviews with God? Why would we assume that Moses or Job were the first to think, “Hey, people ought to know about this, let’s write this down.”

The following account by Enoch corresponds to the biblical plan of salvation from death to eternal life.

Now, my son Mathusala, all these things I speak unto thee, and write for thee. To thee I have revealed all, and have given thee books of everything. Preserve, my son Mathusala, the books written by thy father; that thou mayest transmit them to future generations. Wisdom have I given to thee, to thy children, and thy posterity, that they may transmit to their children, for generations for ever, this wisdom in their thoughts; and that those who comprehend it may not slumber, but hear with their ears; that they may learn this wisdom, and be deemed worthy of eating this wholesome food / the tree of life. (Enoch 81)

phaistos-disc-570Do you seriously think that the pagans documented their belief system and the worshippers of YHVH did not, or that Sumerian pagan tablets could survive the flood and God’s written word could not? Oh, it was certainly contested and stolen and destroyed whenever possible, but it didn’t pass away.

Sumerian texts record that with the arrival of the Sons of Annu in the Valley between the two rivers, the very first object that was brought with them were two or more tablets of a shiny bronze like appearance that held immense power and knowledge. These tablets were fought over, lost, hidden and stolen many times… From the earliest of recorded text the Tablets of Destiny were involved in the wars and conflicts of the Annu. With the possession of the Tablets of Destiny your military prowess was increased, and this fact often brought victory to the holder.

That sounds familiar.

At that time the LORD said unto me [Moses], Hew thee two tables of stone…and make thee an ark of wood. And I will write on the tables…and thou shalt put them in the ark…And he wrote on the tables…the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me. And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me. (Deuteronomy 10:1-5)

And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.” (Joshua 6:1-6)

“And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines…the elders of Israel said…Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies…And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again.  And when the Philistines…understood that the ark of the LORD was come into the camp…the Philistines were afraid, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness. Be strong and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight. And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen. And the ark of God was taken…

  • And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod…into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD.
  • And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him. Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.
  • But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof. They sent therefore and …carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither. And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction…
  • So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there…and the cry of the city went up to heaven.” (I Samuel 4:2-11,5:1-12)

In all of human history there has been only two sets of tablets that empower the fate of man. The tablets of the Ten Commandments and the Tablets of Destiny. Could it be that the Tablets of Destiny are the real power behind the Tablets that Moses returns with from Mount Sinai?

The tablets though were not from the valley of Sumer, and may not have originated from earth, but they have always been a part of the earth and mankind. What do they look like? In the Sumerian creation tablets…“Marduk took the tablets of Destiny…and sealed it and place it on his breast”.  So the Tablets of Destiny are on the breast of Marduk.

highpriestFrom the ancient image of Marduk the Tablets of Destiny are clearly seen placed around his neck on his breast. His heavily designed overcoat and hat shows the motifs of the Tablets of Destiny. All this points to the fact that having ownership of the Tablets gives the owner a position of considerable power and importance.

In the context of rival religious systems, the Tablets of Destiny are the equivalent of the Israelite High Priest’s breastplate of judgment.

And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it…And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod. And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually. And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.” (Exodus 28: 15-30)

From a biblical perspective the Sumerians highjacked the true religion. The reason it appears that Moses plagiarized the earlier documents of the Sumerians is because the true believers were almost all wiped out and it took time and an act of God to build up a big enough community to re-establish the ancient way of life centered on YHVH.
