According to Cornell Law School, an ordinance is a local law, i.e. something that must be obeyed, having the same effect as a state statute. Think vaccination laws.

Under exactly the same legal process, the following list of activities were also required, not simply ignored or allowed, by the pagan cultures in which the Hebrews had been living for hundreds of years until the population had grown large enough to create its own state with defendable borders.

Sounds crazy that these sexual activities were required? What’s crazy is how quickly homosexuality and bestiality have become not only legal but protected in Christian America, especially homosexuality despite the spread of invariably fatal AIDS. Details in the relevant post.
At the same time, the white supremacy movement in Europe and the U.S. has invoked genetics in order to justify its ideas about race and, especially miscegenation – statutory prohibitions against sexual intercourse between the races resulting in mixed race offspring.
In a speech in Charleston, Illinois, in 1858, Abraham Lincoln stated, “I am not, nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people” By the late 1800s, 38 US states had anti-miscegenation statutes. By 1924, the ban on interracial marriage was still in force in 29 states.
While interracial marriage had been legal in California since 1948, in 1957 actor Sammy Davis Jr. faced a backlash for his relationship with a white woman, actress Kim Novak. In 1958, Davis briefly married a black woman, actress and dancer Loray White, to protect himself from mob violence.
When Richard and Mildred Loving married in 1958, they had to cross state lines...and when they returned home as newlyweds, police raided their bedroom and arrested them. The Lovings were sentenced to 25 years in exile from their home state, the Lovings fought the ruling, and they took the state of Virginia all the way to the Supreme Court in a case now known as Loving v. Virginia…
In 1965, the judge presiding over their case, Leon M. Bazile, declared, “Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents … And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix.”
The judge’s ruling is not based on any biblical reference, and ignores the specific biblical record of which sexual behaviors are prohibited, the lack of any biblical record of races, and the clear biblical record of Almighty God adopting all nationalities into his family as equals, and perhaps most persuasive of all, Moses’ marriage to an Ethiopian woman.
The biblical account is scientifically validated by the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) which declares the concept of “racial purity” meaningless from a scientific standpoint.…humans cannot be split into subcategories that would be biologically different from each other…
What the Bible does report are the specific sexual acts of sexual activity between persons of the same gender, closely related persons, and animals, which are all called “abominations”.
All pagan and biblical accounts of pagan gods depict them in combination human-animal form, which are likewise called “abominations”. Clearly there is a connection between the abominable sexual production (verb) of abominations (noun).
“And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land. And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for
- we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God:
- lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?” (Exodus 8:25-26)
One scholarly source interprets the abomination as the act of sacrificing an animal that was sacred to Egyptians. However, the biblical text states that the abomination is the lamb itself. Clearly there is a far more significant meaning to abomination than simply disgusting / toebah or even profaning the sacred. Both Pharaoh and Moses, raised in the royal household, understood this and accepted it at face value. No disrespect intended, none taken, just a fact.
For the Egyptians, the sheep represented Khnum, one of the principal and oldest gods of Egypt (fourth from the left in the image below.) His image was a combination sheep and human.
The sheep the Israelites were planning to sacrifice temporarily substituted – like the animals God slaughtered for the Adams on the day the consequence of death was required – for the “seed of the woman” promised at that same occasion.
“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)
In other words, like the Egyptian’s god Khnum, the Hebrew’s sacrifice combined both an animal and a human being representing a mysterious powerful sacred being.
“And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land. And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?” (Ex 8:25-26)
The Bible further defines as “abomination” as evil so vile as to be subject to the most dire consequence of being wiped off the face of the earth.
“the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.” (Jeremiah 44:22)
“for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation.” (Daniel 9:27)
In the English Bible the word abominable / abomination is translated as “loathesome” or “detestable”. But that just describes God’s reaction, it doesn’t explain why.
We need to backtrack to the first documentation of the land becoming “a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant.”
“And God created
- every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind
- every winged fowl after his kind:..
And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply
- the beast of the earth after his kind,
- and cattle after their kind,
- and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind:
God created man in his own image, God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth…And God saw everything that he had made and, behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:21-31)
But by the time of the flood, everything wasn’t good any longer.
“Noah was a just man and perfect / flawless in his generations / DNA inherited and passed on to his three sons, and Noah walked with God….[in contrast, the rest of] all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth….behold, I will destroy them with the earth…
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen right-eous before me in this generation.” (Genesis 6-7:1)
- Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female:
- and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.” (Genesis 7:1-2)
This categorization is assumed by some to refer to the animals allowed, or not, for sacrifice, since only clean animals were sacrificed at the end of the flood. However, the text does not state that the reason Noah brought more was to experience acceptable losses when sacrificing.
“And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour.” (Genesis 8:20-21)
At this point in the data-driven analysis, only a correlation, not a causation between Noah bringing more clean than unclean animals on the ark and using them for sacrifices has been documented.
There is much confusion in the understanding and correct usage of causation and correlation…
Causation is an action or occurrence that can cause another. The result of an action is always predictable, providing a clear relation between them which can be established with certainty…
Correlation is an action or occurrence that can be linked to another. The action does not always result to another action or occurrence but you can see that there is a relationship between them.
At the same time that Noah sacrificed only clean animals to the LORD, all animals – including unclean – were allowed for consumption.
“Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you.” (Genesis 9:1-3)
Since this is contrary to Mosaic law, we can’t backdate Mosaic law to Noah’s time.

- between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten… (Leviticus 11:46-47)
A reliable interpretation of the distinction between clean and unclean, one that remains consistent with the rest of the document, is that the unclean beasts were not God’s original good creation. They were among “all flesh” that had been corrupted in some way, along with humanity.
And yet, while God destroyed all except eight humans because of the corruption of all the rest of the human population, he intentionally allowed a mating pair of the corrupt animals onto the ark. Why?
Again, a reliable answer is found in scripture in parallel circumstances. Like the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the corrupt beasts provide freedom of choice. Making the healthy choices provide the opportunity to transform for good or bad, to take dominion or to be defeated by evil.
“When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven [corrupt] nations greater and mightier than thou…THOU shalt smite them…YE deal with them…for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible…it is he that giveth thee power.” (Deuteronomy 7-8)
One deduction for allowing the consumption of unclean beasts that can be validated by science is that the Flood triggered an ice age. Adequate amounts of grazing lands or agriculture weren’t available as a significant source of food for animals or humans. The first post-Flood generations were the hunter-gathers, and the unclean animals themselves were more capable of surviving through hunting and scavenging. The clean beasts required more vegetation to multiply adequately to support a population of humans.
The initial post-Flood freezing conditions also allowed a system of food preservation that failed as the climate warmed. This explains the necessity of implementing new health rules.
“if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord…It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire. And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted. Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.” (Leviticus 19:1-8)
Spoilage bacteria causes the food to start smelling and tasting funny, but consuming it won’t harm you. Pathogenic bacteria, on the other hand, is harmful bacteria that doesn’t affect the taste or smell of the food in any way but can cause you to fall sick.
Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus aureus (Staph) and Escherichia coli (E. coli) are some of the types of pathogenic bacteria listed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The USDA explains that pathogenic bacteria thrive between 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Room temperature usually falls in this temperature range, known as the danger zone. In this temperature range, pathogenic bacteria can sometimes double in number within a span of 20 minutes…
The USDA states that any food that has been left out at room temperature for over two hours should be discarded. If the temperature is above 90 F, the window is one hour.
The same Hebrew word for clean is also translated pure when used to describe gold that has not been alloyed with another metal, by which we can induce that not pure or unclean indicates the presence of other substance, such as toxins and microbes.
“the Egyptians / worshippers of Ra might not eat bread with the Hebrews / YHVH’s people; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.” (Genesis 43:22)
In ancient times food was blessed and dedicated to the body’s service to the God or gods upon whom one relied for life, but not shared with non-believers. In our time, this is similar to not allowing non-baptized persons to take communion in a Catholic or Baptist church, or how some Christians pray loudly over their meal in a restaurant as a form of witnessing to others in the room who are assumed to be non-believers, but the blessing conferred by consuming the food and drink is not shared with persons through a good tip to the server assumed to be a non-believer.
The abomination to the Egyptians was having persons outside their religion collaborate with the powerful spirits of evil hyper dimensional beings.
“Ahaz…reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and…he walked in the way of the kings of Israel

- he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree [instead of in YHVH’s temple]

- took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king’s house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.
- went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser [priest-]king of Assyria
- saw an altar that was at Damascus: and [had] Urijah the priest built an altar [just like it]
- and the king approached to the altar, and offered thereon [acting as the priest to the pagan god]
- And he brought also the brazen altar, which was before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar…to enquire by [a pagan practice as a seer of the future, most likely by haruspication]
- And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king’s entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.
Collaboration of humans with the hyper-dimensional gods inevitably allows the gods to take in human spiritual / life energy for the gods’ purposes. And once evil incarnate is up and running it’s a chainsaw massacre. This concept is the logical climax of the historically-grounded Game of Throne series.
Desolation – utter destruction – by the same evil power chosen by fools thinking they are going to be empowered – is the guaranteed consequence of entering into a relationship with a deceiving psychopathic serial / mass murderer.
