All spirits are spin-offs of the Creator Holy Spirit, so regardless of the moral or immoral objective of the spirit’s interaction, they all function in the same way with four dimensional mortals.
The power of the hyper dimensional being flows through the human soul that is joined by believing and receiving the spirit.
The soul then takes on the spirit’s personality, attributes, values, motivations, goals and objectives, and executes them through the actions of the soul-directed body.
“as many as received him, to them gave he power…to them that believe on his name / attributes:” (John 1:12)
The objective of the superhuman spirit’s interaction with a human is always to empower the will of the hyper dimensional spirit in the four dimensional world. Unlike a lying spirit, the Bible doesn’t deny this. Note that in the following passages the ultimate objective of the sharing – ergo exponential increase – of spirit power / glorifying can be traced back to the will of the original spirit in the chain of command.
“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come;
I have manifested thy [secret] name [giving access to your power] unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world…Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
- For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me;
- and they have received them…
- and they have believed that thou didst send me...
- them also which shall believe on me through their word;
That…as
- thou, Father, art in me,
- and I in thee,
- that they also may be one in us:
For whose purpose? the Father’s!
- that the world may believe that thou hast sent me
- and that the world may know that thou hast sent me.” (John 17:1-23)
“Ye shall not see me…till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the LORD / YHVH.” (Matthew 23:39)
According to this line of reasoning, the gods and their chosen inhabited one / christ are empowered to return when – like Jesus Christ – they are believed on, called for, and welcomed.
Is this happening?
Absolutely.
The world is a religious jungle with false prophets as detailed above and in the previous post Signs of the Times.
In particular, the New Age Movement for the spiritually minded, and equating aliens with the ancient gods for the open minded, has unlocked barred doors of opportunity for hyper dimensional beings by whatever name they are called.
Paganism remains a small, but growing, minority religious movement. The 2014 Pew Institute Religious Landscape Study reported that…In the US, the Pagan population is about the size of a small Protestant denomination.
The larger mainline Protestant denominations ranged from Episcopalians with 1.2 percent of respondents to Baptists with 2.1 percent of respondents.
About 2.1 percent of respondents identified as Jewish. About 20.8 percent of respondents identified as Catholic. Atheists made up 3.1 percent of respondents. Muslims constituted 0.9 percent of respondents.
And that’s just in the religious domain. So-called entertainment has broken down the barriers to the souls in a massive media onslaught, especially of our children.
We make a grave mistake when we think of evil spirits only as frightening monsters who assault us against our will, like a psychopath in a Halloween movie. (I was going to include a graphic here but it was just too creepy.) On the contrary, they are fascinating individuals whose real powers and lures of enriching our lives draws us to willingly identify with them.
It doesn’t take the genius mind of Stephen Hawkins to anticipate the next step in the relationship between a human being and his / her Master, “Ascended” or otherwise. The magicians, sorcerers, witches and others who think they are calling in beneficent spirits to do their bidding inevitably find themselves in bondage to the spirit being.
Ultimate bondage is experienced by any short-sighted individual who goes to a drug dealer, a loan shark, or a crime boss for a fix. They all will give you what you want in the short term, but it will definitely cost you sooner or later. The house always wins.
one thing that remained largely unchanged throughout the course of the series was its core: the relationship between Walt and Jesse Pinkman.
The engine that drove Breaking Bad forward, the torrid partnership between the proverbial master and protege that was Walt and Jesse was inarguably the strongest pillar of Breaking Bad…
While Jesse’s life may not have been that of a decent upstanding citizen when he first encounters Heisenberg, where he ends up is ultimately far worse, as the the series concludes with Jesse being an escaped slave whose life will remain on the run due to various previous crimes, including, you know, murder. [Emphasis added.]
But in between the beginning and the end, there’s a whole lot of middle that operates in an emotional gray area, and that gray area can be boiled down to one question: did Walt ever actually care about Jesse?…
No matter how many times he refers to him as “son”, no matter how many times he negotiates to save his life, Walt ultimately manipulated Jesse into whatever he needed him to be in that moment.
Even when considering the fact that Walt eventually freed the chain bound Pinkman from his Neo-Nazi captors, it was only through happenstance…He didn’t go there to save Jesse — he saved Jesse because he was there.
So what are we left with? Like their relationship itself, a bit of a gray area. Walt did — and up until the moment he dies, does — care about Jesse.
But, just like everyone else in the wake of his blood-soaked, meth-fueled destruction, he only cared when that adoration didn’t interfere with his own personal gain.
The ONENESS of God and the extension of his identity into his children is what saves us from self-destruction AKA sin and resulting death. Sin AKA Satan and his Seed can’t defeat omnipotent God, therefore they can’t defeat his children as long as we stay connected to our power and source of life!
Contrast this with the true God who did in fact turn over control of the universe to the greatly inferior humans. The biggest difference in their attitudes is that God honored frail, helpless human womanhood, the original rebellious, sinning human, by making a woman his greatest ally in the battle for control of the universe. This proof of God’s absolute forgiveness AND TRUST IN US should take your breath away!
God is all about partnering and sharing. While Satan set right to work producing his powerful hyper dimensional clone, God waited for thousands of years before the Seed of the Woman was born. In the meantime, for four thousand years he relied on transiently spirit filled humans to hold onto the Kingdom, get the word out, keep hope alive, be living testimonies of God’s faithfulness to his promises! And for the last two thousand years he has been relying on permanently spirit filled humans!
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Goye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Mat 28:18-20)
He never leaves us nor forsakes us as he gives us the opportunities to become heroes.
“the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying…as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” (Joshua 1:1-5)
This Old Testament passage is what is quoted in the New Testament about Jesus Christ.
“he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will ot fear what man shall do unto me.” (Hebrews 13:5-6)
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. BUT I said…woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.” (Isaiah 24)
Isaiah’s prophetic account is consistent with Yeshua’s, Paul’s and John’s regarding the apostate “falling away” treachery of the dealers / leaders towards assumedly saved believers, with warnings not to be caught on the wrong side of this judgment.
“the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up…they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore…beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.” (I Peter 3:10-17)
The confirmation / testimony of the still-future redemption is the seal of the Holy Spirit.
“…in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory…Which he wrought in the Consecrated One / Messiah / Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is Amed, not only in this world, but also that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet [there’s that footprint!] and gave him to be the head over all things to the assembly of believers / church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” (Ephesians 1:3-23)
The evidence – seal, testimony – of the Holy Spirit in a son of God is, of course, holiness in behavior and shared ideology, convictions, drives, and purpose for living.
“And hereby we do know that we know him [are one with him, identified with him], if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love [unity] of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth [is permanently, i.e. sealed] in him ought himself also so to walk [conduct himself], even as he walked.” (I John 2:3-6)
Like the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, this seal is visible evidence to everyone by the bearer’s God-fearing lifestyle. Like Jeremiah, this results in rejection by those whose approval ratings are based on popular public influencers rather than a Good Judge of quality.
“the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison…”
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Yhvh’s Promised Savior / Christ Jesus, who walk [have a lifestyle] not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death…For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh [physically pleasurable cravings like sex, partying and gluttony]; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit…For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
So much for relying on a version of Christianity that can’t be distinguished from unbelievers. Chose which life is more important – a few years on this earth or eternity.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God…ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father…if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:1-18)
The seal of God’s ownership guarantees protection through the that precede the final act of redemption.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land… Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them…I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 32)
There are a number of ways being “sealed” by the Messiah / Promised Redeemer are described.
- He abides, i.e. permanently resides, within us, as the Holy Ghost / Spirit of the risen Yeshua / Jesus.
“I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you…because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” (John 14:1-20)
2. He is not only in us, he comes upon us / covers / immerses us completely, i.e. baptizes us, to empower our spiritual abilities throughout our entire body.
“ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence…ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth…And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language…And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?…But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them…these are not drunken, as ye suppose…But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: (Acts 1:1-8, 2:1-18)
3. He reconnects our spirit to the Spirit of God, to overcome the natural law (immutable link of effect to cause) of physics in neurochemical drives toward self- and relationship-destructive behaviors such as personality disorders, emotional disorders, and addictions to sex, food, drugs, pornography, gambling, etc.
“I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
- For I delight in the law of God after the inward [spirit] man:
- But I see another law in my members [physical body],
- warring against the law of my mind [soul], and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin [destructive behaviors] which is in my members [body].
O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?…Yahweh’s Savior / Yeshua Messiah / Jesus Christ our Lord. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh…And if The Consecrated One / Messiah / Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Romans 7:10-8:6)
4. He frees us from legal bondage to powerful evil humans and spirit beings.
YHVH’s Savior certifies the events recorded in Revelation with the same signature found on all his previous writings.
“I am the LORD: that is my name…new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.”(Isaiah 42:8-9)
Jeremiah’s sealed / safeguarded land title proved, at its unsealing, that Jeremiah’s prophecy of the restoration of Jewish possession of the land was true. This provides a basis for trust in Jeremiah’s prophecies yet to be fulfilled even in our day.
Likewise, as the events documented in the past by John unfold in the future exactly as foretold, they will prove that God’s word is true, and most importantly, reliable, during a time in history when people desperately need to trust God’s word.
People who identify themselves as “New Testament” believers in Jesus Christ so toss out Old Testament prophecies won’t be able to understand the Revelation and respond appropriately to the challenges they face. Doesn’t this prospect warrant a serious study of the entire Bible – not a favorite Christian teacher’s limited interpretation – on this subject?
Every biblical promise is grounded in verifiably historically identical ways that are unmistakable proofs of the identity / name of the same God returning to rescue his people once again, despite the passing of thousands of years and massive culture shifts.
An event in the life of King David provides a good example of the repetitive pattern of God’s interactions with humans.
“And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel…And God was displeased with this thing…And the LORD spake unto Gad, David’s seer, saying, Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith the LORD,
I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee…
- Either three years’ famine;
- or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee;
- or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel.
And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.
So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men. And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it:
Form and Function of God’s Weapons
“the sword of the Spirit…is the word of God:” (Ephesians 6:17)
- and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the Lord stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
- And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem…
- Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
- And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the LORD.
- And the LORD commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.” (I Chronicles 21)
Pay attention to David’s involvement in this whole scenario. We have no problem recognizing that his lack of faith in God’s protection led to chastisement, but we shouldn’t miss his same involvement in stopping the plague. If David had not obeyed God’s word, do you think God would have commanded the angel to sheath his sword?
Compare with the angel passing over the houses in Egypt on which the blood of a sacrificed lamb had been spread over the doorposts in obedience to God’s word. He sees a house on the block without the blood. Do you think the Death Angel just shrugged off the failure to apply the blood and skipped the house?
There will come a day of reckoning, a choice to be made by every individual, whether to choose to do the wrong thing in order to save one’s own quality of life, or to do what the blaring warning alarm in one’s conscience alerts you is the right thing to do regardless of the loss over the direction of your life, or worse, your loved ones’ lives. This is steadfastness, and separates out the people who choose God’s right way from the wicked who chose to go their own way.
