In America today, the wicked way is the the Religious Right trusting in a Republican warmongering president to save them from their scapegoats.
Stay on point. The sixth seal is still operating as God’s protection being lifted away as his people fall away. His own people still have a chance to acknowledge their sin, and turn from their wicked ways.
God’s battle strategy is the opposing actions of standing against vs falling away to the forces of evil in a vicious spiritual conflict. Hold the fort! Hold your territory! You have no-where to retreat! Except being raptured, which isn’t happening yet. So your only alternate action is surrender to the enemy.
Paul uses the same familiar Roman imagery in another of his epistles describing the face-off between the Seeds’ armies. Do you think Paul gets across the need to STAND?”
