In the mid-fifth century BCE, the Greek researcher Herodotus of Halicarnassus visited Tyre, spoke to a priest, and learned that the town and the temple of Melqart were, at that time, believed to be 2,300 years old. In other words, the city was founded in the twenty-eighth century BC.
The evidence of a lost ancient civilization is all around us. From the familiar myths and legends of ancient Greece to the less well-known legends of ancient Egypt, Babylon, and even the Americas and Pacific Islands, from the monuments of Stonehenge and Giza to the pyramids of Teotihuacan and the Xi’an, the evidence is overwhelming that an advanced ancient people who understood the size and shape of the earth, sophisticated aspects of astronomy, mathematical concepts such as phi and pi, and the principles of blue-water ocean navigation existed more than four thousand years ago, and then largely disappeared, leaving centuries of relative ignorance in their wake.
The study of prehistory has taken on a startling new direction. Far removed from barbarians or savages, a civilisation earlier than the Sumerian…devoted huge efforts to the construction of massive stone monuments based on astronomical principles.
When most of the academics trained in the study of the ancient world look at pyramids on different continents, they see proof of humankind’s division into distinct, separate civilizations. We see something quite the opposite: compelling evidence of the underlying unity of civilization.
At its most extreme, the orthodox viewpoint goes something like this. Civilization dates to no earlier than the middle fourth millennium B.C. It began in Mesopotamia, then spread to Egypt, and subsequently throughout the Old World. Other civilizations arose on their own – and much later – in the Americas, where they remained disconnected from Asia and Africa until Columbus piloted his three small ships across the Atlantic. The Old World and the New World each invented civilization independently.
I (Schoch) first came to understand there was something wrong with this view while investigating the origins of the Great Sphinx of Giza. As a geologist, I knew that the weathering patterns of the Giza plateau indicated that the Sphinx was carved in stages…That finding raised a significant question. Even a first-draft Sphinx could only have been built by a sophisticated people, one that had achieved civilization well before the 3500 B.C. date when civilization supposedly arose. Who were these unknown people? And what happened to them?…
We argued that civilization arose earlier than generally believed, but much of the early history of humanknd has been lost to natural catastrophes.
Archeological and anthropological evidence validates the biblical history that the fallen angels begat giants who constructed the amazingly precisely astronomically oriented structures like the Giza Pyramid and Stonehenge for purposes as yet unable to be utilized by modern science.
However, even after the catastrophic Flood wiped out the mysteries, like the Greco-Roman Renaissance in 15th Century medieval Europe, the mystery religion was reborn.
According to the biblical account, Nimrod, giant son of Cush, son of Ham, was responsible for resurrecting the antediluvian gods’ program of reaching to heaven.
- “And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech / Sumerian
- as they journeyed from the east…they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there…And they said, Go to,
- let us build us a city / for warfare
- and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven / to access the gods of the cosmos
- and let us make us a name
- lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:1-4)
“Making a name” still means “becoming famous”. In this era it signifies joining forces with a god, merging identities and resources as in marriage and adoption, supernaturally empowering the human ruler and humanly empowering the alien spirit access to and control over the material world.
We should be able to recognize that “they” are the elite intent on recreating the antediluvian urban culture, enslaving the masses as laborers and exterminating “useless eaters” in order to amass riches and power to the few at the top of the food chain.
Ancient legends and archeological finds of depictions of flying machines are more likely to be true remembrance of things past than imagination. If Leonardo da Vinci had lived long enough he could have moved beyond research, more likely than not based on antediluvian texts available to him in the Renaissance, to development of these and other war machines.
It only took 300 years for our industrialized European society to get from inventing steam power to rocket power.
The ancient Sumerians had as much time and the pre-flood R&D. They only needed a work force.
And all the families assembled consisting of about six hundred thousand men…And they began to make bricks and burn fires [possibly a reference to forging metal, the knowledge of which was carried through the flood] to build the city and the tower that they had imagined to complete. And the building of the tower was unto them a transgression and a sin, and they began to build it, and whilst they were building against the Lord God of heaven, they imagined in their hearts to war against him and to ascend into heaven. And all these people and all the families divided themselves in three parts;
- the first said We will ascend into heaven and fight against him;
- the second said, We will ascend to heaven and place our own gods there [clearly these are the ones who had been thrown out] and serve them;
- and the third part said, We will ascend to heaven and smite him with bows and spears…(Jasher 9)
“And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:5-9)
The scattering into nations with different languages served to prevent accomplishing the goal of reaching unto heaven, but not ongoing efforts to do so.
As much as they symbolize the mystery and magic of ancient Egypt, pyramids are not uniquely Egyptian. Pyramids of various sorts also appear
- in the ancient African kingdom of Kush…
- as ziggurats in ancient Mesopotamia…
- in England and Ireland, taking such forms as Silbury Hill and Newgrange;
- in India and throughout Southeast Asia, in the distinct style of the Buddhist stupa;
- at Angkor Wat in medieval Cambodia;
- at Indonesia’s Borobudur;
- in ancient China;
- at Teotihuacán, Tenayuca, Tenochtitlán, and other sites in the Valley of Mexico;
- in the ancient Olmec and Mayan realms of southern Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, and El Salvador;
- along the Mississippi, at Cahokia and other ceremonial centers;
- and in Peru’s coastal region, among the people who were the ancestors of the Inca empire, and in that country’s northern Andes, the Inca heartland…
Could it be that pyramids around the globe share a common cultural heritage?
These questions are the focus of our most recent book, Voyages of the Pyramid Builders: The True Origins of the Pyramids from Lost Egypt to Ancient America (Tarcher/Putnam, 2003). In it we trace the many pyramid-building cultures back to what may be their ultimate source: Sundaland, a continent-sized stretch of land in Southeast Asia (located under the current southern reach of the South China Sea) that was inundated by rising sea levels after the end of the last ice age, a catastrophic event that may have been connected to cometary activity in the skies observed by the inhabitants of Sundaland…
Joseph Campbell, that ever-astute student of mythology, argued that under the world’s many, apparently different mythologies lay an ancient core of common archetypal story, one joining us all. Pyramids carry the same message: All humankind shares a common history, one in which civilization began in a single place and spread across the globe.
The Great Pyramid is an unrivaled example of precision-engineering on a massive scale. After the Great Pyramid was built another engineering and construction feat of similar proportions and daunting challenges was not attempted until the Hoover Dam was built in the early 1930s.
How could those incredible ancient Egyptian’s have pulled it off? They didn’t. There is no evidence, in Egypt, of any period of stone building that forms a progression of learning the requisite skills to build the Great Pyramid…
The identical features found in pyramids all around the world supports the Egyptian assertion that they did not invent civilization, but were taught by a hyper dimensional highly advanced civilization to the best of their available human and technological resources. The expertise required to build the megalithic pyramids and align them precisely with the stars rules out purely human effort at the time they were built, and the later pyramidal structures fall far beneath the quality of the first structures.
Professor Everett Borders notes another very important indication of African presence, which is the nature of early American pyramids. Pyramid construction is highly specialized. Ancient Egypt progressed from the original stepped pyramid of Djosser, to the more sophisticated finished product at Giza. However, at La Venta in Mexico, the Olmecs made a fully finished pyramid, with no signs of progressive learning. Olmecian and Egyptian pyramids were both placed on the same north-south axis and had strikingly similar construction methods. Tellingly, all of these pyramids also served the same dual purpose, tomb and temple.
The largest pyramid on the surface of the planet is located in Central America, in present-day Mexico. Called the Great Pyramid of Cholula, this supermassive structure is not only the largest pyramid on the surface of the planet but also the largest monument ever built anywhere on Earth.
The best example of such architecture is located in present-day Illinois where a monument known as the Monks Mounds stands proud and tall.
Completed around 1100 AD, the Monks Mound Pyramid has a base that is much larger than that of the Great Pyramid at Giza. although perhaps not as elaborate in terms of precision and design, Monks Mound is a structure worthy of praise…surveys of the site have revealed that the ancient city once boasted as many as 120 similar structures ranging in size.
The settlement of Cahokia was already an influential metropolis and a large settlement of importance in the Mississippian region approximately one thousand years before the Europeans set foot on the American Continent. It is believed that around 1,000 CE the city grew further in importance thanks to trade and manufacturing. However, surveys of the larger are have revealed that people inhabited the area prior to 1,200 BC.
A stone tablet that dates back to sixth century BC appears to be inscribed with…the Tower of Babel.This is substantial evidence that the tower actually existed…
[W]hat is written about the tower’s appearance and construction matches with the story told in the Bible…
The inscription describes a Mesopotamian-style construction, and the illustration shows that the tower had seven tiers. It also relays that King Nebuchadnezzar II, the most famous ruler in Mesopotamia, was responsible for the tower’s construction.
The text on the tablet reads, “from the Upper Sea, which is the Mediterranean, to the Lower Sea, which is the Persian Gulf, the far-flung lands and the teeming people of the habitations, I mobilized in order to construct this building…”
As you read the following account, keep in mind that words will have different meanings for different cultures depending on their experience. When a native on a remote island in the South Pacific who never had encountered technology saw a warplane flying in the distance, he didn’t tell his fellow villagers that he saw “a flying machine”, he called it “a giant bird.” Likewise, a “baked brick” is only assumed to be made of mud hardened in a fire-stoked kiln by people who know of no higher technology. In our day, we do, and can expand our awareness of what this text might be reporting.
- Come let us build ourselves a city – think Houston’s Space Center technological power base
- and a strong tower – think launch pad with metal frame
- and its top – think capsule
- reaching heaven – think outer space
- and we will make ourselves famed – think Space Race between Russia and the U.S.
- so that we may reign upon the whole world, in order that the evil of our enemies may cease from us – think the Reagan administration’s Strategic Defense Initiative
- that we may reign mightily over them – think maintaining hegemony over the other nations
- and that we may not become scattered over the earth on account of their wars – think of the U.S. military fighting its enemies across the world (Jasher 9)
“And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language…” (Genesis 11:5-6)
We can logically deduce that,
- if the means of transitioning between the four dimension of Earth to the hyper dimensions of the gods / fallen angels / aliens as commonly occurred previous to the flood
- was documented in the pre-flood Sumerian language, and used post-flood by ancient astronomers during the construction of Nimrod’s tower to once again reach “hyperdrive” unto heaven,
- but a workforce-wide inability to comprehend the instructions in Sumerian resulted in the discontinuation of what would have been a successful attempt,
- then renewed literacy in Sumerian plus recovery of the technical instructions would result in successful contact with aliens / gods determined to exploit destroy humanity.
Highly educated devotee of ancient cultures Peter Tompkins, in his preface to Mysteries of the Mexican Pyramids, enthuses that
- “One look at the pyramidal structures of Yucatan and Chiapas…is enough to show that they…function as markers for the…transit [movement] …of heavenly bodies;”
- “the ancients accurately measured the size of the earth, mapped it”;
- “The ancient civilizations attached great importance to numbers as an exact language in which physical and spiritual ideals could be expressed and preserved; hence, they built their numbers into buildings”
- which “contain, both in their dimensions and their relative geographical positions, the whole vocabulary of the sacred language of the past”
“Written across the face of the country in letters of earth and stone the cosmic knowledge of the ancient world is now within reach…”
it is important to us to understand it and to learn from it, standing as we do at a place of great technological advancement and assuming as we often do that things will just keep getting better and that progress is man’s natural birthright. If we don’t know real truth about [ancient civilized] mankind’s past [disappearance], we cannot even begin to ask why it happened, or explore the best ways to prevent it from happening again.
It is also evident that whatever the cause of their disappearance, the ancients were very careful to preserve and encode the fact of their existence and the knowledge they felt was most important in a way that would withstand millennia of chaos. It would be wise for us to be aware of the ways that they achieved this feat.
…astronomical events that are crucial to understanding the clues that the ancients embedded in their mythology, their art, and their megalithic structures…the legends of ancient Sumer, Babylon, Egypt, and Greece, the Cult of Mithras, the pre-Aztec monuments of Teotihuacan, the Bighorn Medicine Wheel in Wyoming, the surviving legends of the Cherokee and Hopi, and geological evidence from around the world to support a theory that stands in stark contrast to the conventional paradigm of geology and anthropology.
The shrine of the goddess Aširat (or Asherah)[recognize the similarity to the iconography and pillar style from Gobekli Tepe?] in Tyre is mentioned in the Epic of King Keret, which is known from Ugarit.
The region was barely touched during the crisis that is commonly associated with the arrival of the “Sea People” [As the Amorites were well able to defend their city.]…
At the beginning of the Iron Age, Tyre replaced Sidon as the most important city in the region…the new leading city played a very important role in the Phoenician colonization movement. Tyre is mentioned as founder of Kition on the copper island Cyprus, of Carthage, Utica, and Lixus, and of Gades in Andalusia…
in the Bible…The general impression is that Hiram had good relations with king David and king Solomon, helped building Jerusalem’s temple and palace, and contributed to naval expeditions…when Josephus wrote his Jewish Antiquities, he supported the Biblical account with quotes from one Menander of Ephesus, who claimed to have studied Tyrian sources. This Menander not only confirmed the Biblical account, but also added some bits and pieces: for instance, that Hiram promoted the cult of Melqart/Heracles. This appears to have been a real religious revolution…old gods like Aširat/Asherah were less important than Melqart.
Don’t overlook that Solomon also had a religious revolution, converting Israel to religious toleration.
Melqart (also Melkarth or Melicarthus) was an important Phoenician god and patron deity of the city of Tyre. Associated with the monarchy, sea, colonization, and commercial enterprise…Melqart’s stature is attested by the reverence the god was accorded by two of the Phoenician’s immediate successor cultures in the ancient Mediterranean: Greece and Carthage…
While Baal, El, and Baalat were important deities…Melqart was considered the head of the pantheon at Tyre. Indeed, his very name means ‘king of the city’ (melekqart) and he was referred to as Baal de Sor or ‘Lord of Tyre’. Melqart, in addition, assumed some of the characteristics of both Adonis and Eshmun as he was the focus of a festival of resurrection each year in the month of Peritia (February-March) in which a sacrifice was made by fire or a figure of the god was ritually burnt. Hence, his other name the ‘fire of heaven’.
So Tyre’s chief god is indeed anti-christ, the seed of the serpent. Upon seeing the construction of the magnificent temple to El in Jerusalem, Hiram copies the form and function.
The god had a long-lasting temple dedicated in his name at Tyre, built during the reign of Hiram in the 10th century BCE. This seems to be the period when Melqart comes into his own as there are no references to the god prior to the 10th century BCE. Outside the god’s temple, at a specially constructed altar, worship involved prayers, burning incense, the pouring of libations, and making offerings to the god of animal sacrifices, foodstuffs, and precious goods…Women, foreigners, and pigs were not allowed in the sacred precinct of Melqart’s temple, which also functioned as the city’s treasury.
Melqart’s temple was famously visited by Herodotus in the 5th century BCE who described its impressive entrance as having two columns…The Greek historian goes on to say that Melqart had a tomb inside, supporting the theory that, involved as he was in the founding mythology of the city, perhaps Melqart was based on a historical person…
As Tyre insisted every new colony build a temple to Melqart, the god was exported across the Mediterranean…very important at Carthage, where a stele indicates that a temple was dedicated to him. The Carthaginians were also obliged to send annual tribute – one tenth of their annual profits – to the temple of Melqart at Tyre for the next few centuries…Hannibal too, famously swore an oath to the god in 237 BCE when, aged 9, he stated that he would forever be the enemy of Rome. Hannibal, too, was not the only Carthaginian general that deified himself and took on the appearance of the god.
Closer to home, Melqart is probably confused with Baal / Lord in several passages of the Bible, for example, when describing the sins of King Ahab in I Kings 16:31-2. Melqart appears in an inscription on a 9th-century BCE stele found near Aleppo, Syria. It is written in Aramaic and was dedicated by Bar-Hadad, king of Aram, a Syrian-Hittite kingdom.
We either throw out thousands of years of inter-cultural received wisdom and ignore the evidence of ancient highly advanced technology, unexplainable by Evolution’s paradigm of human history, or we admit we don’t know everything, that powerful regimes are untrustworthy, and so keep our minds open to unimagined possibilities.
Even after millennia of rise and fall and rebuilding on the rubble of a series of fallen civilizations there is a remarkable pattern in “the rise of“ each recurrence. There is a consistency in the elements of civilization, supporting the concept that they are all led by the same mastermind intent on the same goal – the destruction of a free humanity.
1,500 years after Nimrod built a new “gate of the gods” at his tower of Babel, Nebuchadnezzar covered his new Ishtar Gate at Babylon with images of the cloned seed of Satan, Marduk, the snake-dragon, the mushussu.
This gate/portal was moved to the Pergamum Museum in Berlin during Hitler’s combined occult – and rocket fueled– acceleration to the heights of power. Given the hyper dimensional quality of spirit beings / aliens, no doubt some kind of hyper dimensional portal is required for establishing contact with spirits either in the cosmic space or on earth.
Interesting that America took over both the Pergamum Museum in the Allied- occupied territory of West Berlin and the top Nazi rocket scientists after Germany lost the space race.
Surely we can recognize the glaringly obvious clues in NASA naming the space exploration vehicles after the ancient gods.
The aptly named Operation Fishbowl was in fact an attempt to reach, and break through, a hard firmament enclosure within reach of earth’s people, as soon as there was an “arrow” big enough and a “bow” powerful enough to break through it. Think of the launch pad and rocket as a catapult and battering ram, which the ancients had motive, means, and opportunity to use in the resumption of perpetual warfare.
