126) It Only Takes Two Witnesses To Work Wonders

About 30 AD John the Baptist / Elias was sent to the fathers / religious leaders along with Yeshua the Melchizedek like Moses, but most of the rulers of the Jews rejected his preaching of repentance.

So in 70 AD, precisely when Yeshua spoke it into being on “this generation”, more than 2 million Jews who ignored Yeshua’s warning to flee, and instead had remained in Jerusalem to seize power for themselves, died from disease, starvation or were murdered when the Roman armies entered the city…More than 1 million Jews were forced into exile in Rome, which led to today’s Diaspora.

And sometime in the future there will be a repeat of Elijah – bolstered by Moses in the ultimate end-game – screaming at the top of his lungs to the religious leaders to call on YHVH’s Savior as Lord when the latest iteration of the last, the Roman, Empire enters into a treaty with the ungodly Jews to protect them in their land, only to turn on them as did the original Romans.

We can be sure that this latest temple will, like the previous, be built by permission of Israel’s current political ally which procures concessions from hostile opponents to allow construction, provides military protection against attacks, and promotes itself as the Savior from War and Securer of Peace. This will be another monument to hubris, no house of prayer, another den of thieves raking in a fortune from tourism.

  1. “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein [appraise how closely they align to my instructions].
  2. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.” -(Revelation 11:1-2)

The alliance of Israel’s leaders, especially the religious leaders, with the ungodly militaristic World Empire is the abomination that causes desolation of Israel. The sight of this is the red flag for Bible believers to get out of Dodge.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) i.e.Jerusalem compassed with armies then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.” (Matthew 24:15, Luke 21:20)

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh / mortal life be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:16-22)

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For / Because…Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord / YHVH. (Matthew 23:37-39)

So how are the days shortened to save mortal life from Satan’s determined onslaughts?

I suspect that at least one understanding that Jesus means about how to respond to the sight of Jerusalem encompassed by armies is directed towards his two witnesses.

They stay behind on the front lines, laying their lives on the line.

“I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.” (Revelation 11:3)

This points us back to the first rebuilding of the temple.

“And he shewed me

    1. Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
      • And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee…
      • [To Joshua] Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my houseHear now, O Joshua the high priest…behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.” (Zechariah 3:1-2)
    2. Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts….O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain [flattened]: and he shall bring forth the headstone [of the new temple] thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it…
      • The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house;
      • his hands shall also finish it [against all odds];
      • and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you….
      • and [when ye] shall see the plummet / measure / standard of rightness in the hand of Zerubbabel.
    3. Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I…What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said…These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.[Zechariah 1-4)

There is speculation over who are the two messengers at the temple, with Elijah, Moses and Enoch being top choices due to their miraculous actions. However, Jesus did say that his post-resurrection followers would do even greater miracles than his pre-resurrection servants.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father [leaving you behind to continue my work.] (John 14:12)

I suspect that these two Messianic Jewish men are the driven by the same spirit of Joshua the religious leader and Zerubabbel the politician who led the pitiful remnant of true believers in re-establishing the true worship of YHVH in Jerusalem. – intense perseveration against ungodliness in Israel to the point of incurring the most intense persecution by their colleagues who are all in favor of allying with the ungodly nations.

Definitely they are standing against tremendous tribulation, not just threats.

  • “And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, [may be short hand for stating that they call down fire] and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.” (Revelation 11:5)
    • the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty…And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down. And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty…And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty…So he [the king of Samaria] died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken.” (II Kings 1:9-17)
  • These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy” (Revelation 11:6)
    • And Elijah the Tishbite…said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” (I Kings 17:1)
  • and have power over waters to turn them to blood (Revelation 11:6)
    • And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone. And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.” (Exodus 7:19-20)
  • and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will (Revelation 11:6)
    • And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, In all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land. And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.” (Deuteronomy 34:10-12)

However, if we follow the pattern of appearances of God’s prophets, these men didn’t show up like superheroes with superpowers.

These will be two ordinary men who rise to the challenge and grow in power like Moses, Elijah, Elisha, John the Baptist, the apostles etc. as they were filled with the Holy Spirit as needed.

The supernatural events brought about by the witnesses are the requisite signs to the Jews proving both the greater power of Christ over Antichrist and their identification with the national God of Israel YHVH who empowered his prophets in the past.

Without question these witnesses are preaching the same message the Apostles preached at Herod’s temple. They are exerting the people to reject Caesar Antichrist’s promise of salvation from death, and urging them to accept God’s promise of resurrection after death.

This is THE gospel that has been promised since the day Mr. and Mrs. Adams brought death down on all mankind.

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple…Ye men of Israel…

  • The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus…
  • those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
  • Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing / renewal / resurrection shall come from the presence of the Lord.
  • And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you…the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began…

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead…their rulers, and elders, and scribes…the high priest…commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus…

And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.

  • Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him…And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
  • But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life…
  • But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel…Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
  • Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus [from the dead]HIM – NOT Antichrist –  hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost – NOT the deceptive “life” force from Antichrist –  whom God hath given to them that obey him.
  • When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.” (Acts 4-5)

And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit  [that would be Satan’s hybrid son Apolloshall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

ISIS compilation of executions

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

“And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall…kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great citywhere also our Lord was crucified.”

Sounds, gruesomely, like the two witnesses were “also” crucified.

Even the Lord was buried. Leaving the bodies to rot in public,  especially in a religion that requires burial within 24 hours, is a common way of desecration to intimidate followers into ending revolt against the powers that be.

“when the Philistines…found Saul and his three sons fallen…they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people. And they put his armour in the house of Ashtaroth: and they fastened his [now naked] body to the wall of Bethshan

And when the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead heard of that which the Philistines had done to Saul; All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there. And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.” (I Samuel 31:8-13)

d84d07bf5da3b6071feb925e38a468deThese fools in Jerusalem play right into God’s hands.

As the quintessential comedic Jew says:

“Jesus went up to Jerusalem…in the temple, and said…as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will…Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5)

Undoubtedly the bodies of these two witnesses are surrounded by guards. Perhaps these enemies of God are trying to undo the problem encountered in the past when Jesus’ body was left under the supervision of too few soldiers to keep him in the grave.

the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto [foreign overlord commander of the military Pilate], Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the firstPilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.” (Matthew 27:62-66)

This is not faithlessness, this is oppositional defiant disorder, from men whose die is cast, and there is no turning back now.

And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.” (Revelation 3:11)

The last and greatest sign! Resurrection from the dead!!

The two witnesses knew the day of their death. They’ve read Revelation, haven’t they!

They must have been dying laughing as their throats were cut or they were shot or however they received their Purple Heart, at the fact that the idiot enemy itself set up this last and greatest proof of the true Christ’s superiority over their imitation Christ, including the wide open view, to prove the fact to the huge on-site crowd and the whole world through 24 hour internet feed!

“Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.” (Psalm 69:22, Romans 11:9)

“The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.” (Psalm 9:16)dsc_3513b

And he that was dead came forth…Then many of the Jews…believed on him / YHVH’s Savior.” (John 11:43-44)

During the past 2,000 years, European…Jews have been attacked, banished, and forced to choose between death and converting to the prevailing religion

Proving the truth of God’s Word, this did not result in the destruction of, but in the survival, of Judaism.

And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand:

and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.” (Revelation 11:10-11)

The Remnant

  1. Anyone who sews knows that “remnant” is the last little bit of fabric left after the rest of the large amount on the bolt has been cut off.
  2. In a biblical context, “remnant” also refers to “the last little bit remaining.”
    • “And the remnant that remaineth of the [10] curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth [1/20th of the total]… (Exodus 26:1,12)
  3. When applied to humans, it indicates the survivors of what has been cut off.
    • Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will
      • cut off from Jeroboam
      • and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam
      • till it be all gone.” (I Kings 14:10)
    • “Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred; I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and
      • I will cut off the Cherethims,
      • and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.” (Ezekiel 25:15-17)
    • “Ishmael…and the ten men that were with him…smote Gedaliah…whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land. Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah…whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah…
      • Then Johanan…took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah…Then took Johanan the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmaelto go to enter into Egypt…And said unto Jeremiah the prophet…pray for us unto the LORD thy God…for we are left but a few of many.  (Jeremiah 41-42)
  4. When applied to the prophecy in Revelation, we should understand that the remnant who give glory to God are the very few remaining individuals of a larger group that has been killed not only by invading foreigners but also by apostate politico-religious leaders in league with foreigners, like the remnant recovered from Ishmael.
    • “And Stephen, full of faith and power…wisdom and the spirit by which he spake…Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears…Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth…And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem…” ( Acts 6:8, 7:51-58, 8:1-3)

The Remnant Were Affrighted

This word “affrighted” ἔμφοβος, is only used to describe unearthly terror at the sight of God’s hyper dimensional glory.

“they [the women followers of Yeshua] came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and..behold!, [especially calls attention to what follows ] two men stood by them in shining garments…And…they were afraid” (Luke 24:1-5)

“as they [the men followers of Yeshua] thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them…But they were terrified / panic-stricken and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.” (Luke 24:37)

“Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. He saw in a vision…an angel of God coming in to him…And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord?” (Acts 10:4)

We need to understand that the remnant know exactly what is causing their intense emotion. It isn’t the resurrection of the dead, the massive earthquake that occurs at this time, conviction of a horrible death at the hands of the enraged rulers. It is God’s glory as in “Mine eyes have seen the coming of the glory of the Lord, he is stamping out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored!”

Interestingly, this is the same word, in the noun form, that is used to describe the men who observed the two witnesses’ resurrection: “great fear” φόβος fell upon them which saw them.” (Revelation 11:11)

Then we find two different reactions to this knowledge of the power and the glory of God.

Despite witnessing the fact that that resurrection from the dead,

  • as detailed only in the Bible
  • and legally proven by the Son of God
  • and offered to all who will align themselves with him
  • has been personally observed with their eyes and ears

There are those who choose to submit to YHVH and those who don’t.

the remnant…gave glory to the God of heaven!” (Revelation 11:13)

And the remnant giving glory to YHVH is exactly what YHVH’s Savior is poised waiting to happen!

“And Stephen…being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus…And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God! (Acts 7:55-56)

“The second woe [Antichrist’s reign of terror] is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly [God’s reign of terror]. And the seventh angel sounded [the last trump]; and there were great voices in heaven…The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ!!!…” (Revelation 11:14-15)

You really have to hear that sung in Handel’s Messiah to get any sense of the scream of triumph.

But to tell the truth, the best demonstration in our world of great voices shouting acclaim for their savior are the Nazis

“And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come,” (Revelation 11:16-17)

But first, there are proper steps to follow in a criminal court case.

America’s civil and criminal justice systems are grounded on the Mosaic Code…centuries before Christ, the Jews devised a legal system based on the dignity of man and individual equality before the law. Individuals accused of crimes were considered innocent until proven guilty, had the right to confront their accusers, were allowed to testify in their own behalf, were not subject to double jeopardy, and could appeal convictions.

A thorough and interesting book containing observations on this subject and many more about Jewish history is Max Dimont’s Jews, God & History. Reproduced here are some of Mr. Dimont’s insightful observations on the subject of this blog:

In the American system, there are stages of a criminal lawsuit that must be followed.

During the sentencing phase of a criminal case, the court determines the appropriate punishment for the convicted defendant. In determining a suitable sentence, the court will consider a number of factors, including the nature and severity of the crime, the defendant’s criminal history, thedefendant’s personal circumstances and the degree of remorse felt by the defendant.

As so in Revelation, before God’s wrath is poured out on the earth’s rebellious inhabitants in Revelation 16, we find a review of the defendant’s criminal history in Revelation 14-15.

  • “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars…
    • And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon…
  • And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne…And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a [safe] place prepared of God…
    • And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out…Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And…he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.,,and went to make war with
  • the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ….
    • And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea…and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority…And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.  and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world…And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelation 12-13)

How can the beast become so powerful?

Because God’s people aren’t fighting against him, and many are actively joining him!

I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. Behold, it is written before me:

This results in chastisement, tribulation, whatever you want to call it.

I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom, Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom…ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain…” (Isaiah 65)

The Remnant’s Return To the LORD Ends Tribulation

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob,

  • shall no more again stay upon him that smote them;
  • but shall stay upon the LORD, he Holy One of Israel, in truth.
  • The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob [ahem, that’s the whole house of Israel not just the Jews, so that includes Ephraim and the Gentiles], unto the mighty God.
  • For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea [crushed and carried away], yet a remnant of them shall return:
  • the consumption / utter destruction decreed shall [itself] overflow [be overwhelmed / obliterated with righteousness.” (Isaiah 10:20-22)

Got to love the play on words.

“And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” (Hebrews 12:5-6)

When God’s people are “not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21), the purpose of tribulation has been fulfilled.

“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads…

  • These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins.

This supports the expected logical trajectory of our current society, which has rapidly gone from tolerating to empowering rampant pagan practices of homosexuality, bestiality, and pedophilia, and can credibly impose sexual activity on its citizens in the near future.

December 2021

Some…already report a belief that consensual relationships between adults and children are possible

Events since the victory of gay marriage give us reason to worry as well. When society became more accepting of homosexual desires and behavior, often even celebrating gays’ legal triumphs, it didn’t merely allow a tiny, fixed percentage of the population to live openly. The share of Americans identifying as non-heterosexual drastically increased, driven by young women. As a father, I have no interest in re-running this experiment with pedophilia…

A Long, Dark Shadow gives us a look at a population we should want to understand. It also gives us a look at the worldview of its author, which we should find terrifying.

  • These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth – to death.
  • These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits [to be resurrected] unto God and to the Lamb.” (Revelation 14:1-5)

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” (Revelation 14:6-7)

The reference to “another angel” at the beginning of chapter 14 only makes sense in a sequence of events if we go back to the last angel described before this one.

That would be back in chapter 11, verse 15.

the third woe cometh quickly ταχύ as in tachycardia[not immediately, but that when it happens, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye!]

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

This is confirmed by the messages of the next two angels in chapter 14 who are obviously still active before the wrath of God is poured out in chapter 16.

This clues us in that the recap of history beginning chapter 12:1 comes to an end at this point in chapter 14, in sync with the previous announcements of the timing of this event articulated by a number of reliable witnesses.

  • “Immediately after the tribulation of those days…
  • shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven…[which is] the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
  • And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
  • and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:29-31)

These angels are “gathering” by calling, like a mother ringing a dinner bell, to the children as the darkness gathers.

“the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers [surely including spiritual beings] of the heavens shall be shaken:” (Matthew 24:29)

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling [ῥιπή, / any rapid movement] of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (I Corinthians 15:51-52)

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

It is difficult to document multiple situations occurring simultaneously in any kind of order that matches with their synchronicity. Every other sentence? Every other paragraph? Usually we report one coherently and then the other(s), like an investigator taking witness statements.

This angel’s announcement is another legal procedure, another stage in a criminal trial outlining the defendants actions. In this case, instead of the beast it is the woman who rides the beast – the whore of Babylon, often referred to as Babylon itself. Her crimes are detailed in Revelation 17, and the announcement of her downfall by this angel in Revelation 14 resumes in Revelation 18.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.

    • Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
    • And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” (Revelation 14:6-13)
    • For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” (I Thessalonians 5:9)

“And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.” (Revelation 14:14-16)

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (I Thessalonians 4:15-17)

Who knows the four dimensional time frame of these warnings. Perhaps the hyper dimensional is overlain, but for sure all around the world there are those lined up to drink the Kool-Aid who can be prevented at the last possible second.

with great mercies will I gather theeIn a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer…as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee.” (Isaiah 54:7-9)

“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. And I saw them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his nameAnd they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying…all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” (Revelation 15:2-4)

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand…when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?…I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I…he shall baptize you [plural, speaking to a crowd not an individual] with

    1. the Holy Ghost
    2. and [or] with fire:

Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge / utterly clear his floor, and

    1. gather his wheat into the garner; [those of you with the Holy Ghost]
    2. but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire [those of you without].” (Matthew 3:11-12)

And here comes the fire.

“And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.” (Revelation 14:17-20)

The earlier scriptural report of this event is obviously a responsive reading by a congregation more enthusiastic than the typical Christian church.

“Who is this that…is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength?

I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save!

Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come!

And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: [For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)

therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies…For he said,

Surely they are my people…so he was their Saviour. In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them…

Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?

Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: [clearly referencing Gentile believers] thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting...

Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance. The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary. Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come downto make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!…” (Isaiah 63:1-64:4)

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” (Isaiah 63:1-64:4)
