The Day of the LORD is, logically, when YHVH / Creator and his sanctified ones seize control back from the Adversary and his followers.
The God of the Bible is not a wuss. His war banner reads “Vengeance is mine, I will repay!”
“Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand!
- I have commanded my sanctified ones,
- I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness…
the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle!
“the righteous judgment of God…will render to every man according to his deeds…In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my [Paul’s] gospel…For there is no respect of persons with God.
- eternal life and immortality…glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good…To them who
- seek for glory – praised for benefiting others
- and honour – respected and emulated by others
- by patient continuance in well doing – rather than exploiting others
- But…tribulation and anguish, indignation and wrath.. upon every soul of man that doeth evil, unto them that
- are contentious – fighting to take away the rights of others
- and do not obey the truth – of righteousness being to self-sacrificially as a son of God to love others who don’t deserve it
- but obey unrighteousness – harm and destroy God’s creation which he entrusted to humans, most of all, the people who come under our sphere of influence of care
- eternal life and immortality…glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good…To them who
- For as many as have sinned without law / God’s written word shall also perish without law: For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
- and as many as have sinned in the law / conscious of God’s written word shall be judged by the law; For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” (Romans 2)
This leaves out sooooo many Christians, especially Protestants, evangelicals and fundamentalists who have prayed the Sinner’s Prayer and are captivated by
“For by grace are ye saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works…” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
That’s the problem with memorizing snippets of scripture in Sunday School. Keep reading the next verse.
“For we are…created in Christ Jesus / YHVH’s Ordained Savior unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
“if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God.” (II Corinthians 5:17-18)
It’s all about walking the walk, not just talking the talk
Most westerners are familiar with the Greek myth of Zeus who defeated his father Cronus and took his place as king of the gods. In the original Sumerian version recounted in the “Enuma Elish”, Marduk is the son who defeats his father, the mushussu dragon, taking his place as ruler.
So the anthropologists who treat the images of a man wearing the Tablets of Destiny as Marduk are incorrect. Marduk is the mushussu dragon, and the man is Marduk’s human co-regent and vicar / representative / High Priest of the dragon.
If you know the Bible, you recognize that he is mimicking YHVH’s Hebrew High Priest wearing the breastplate of judgment.
Once again, the parallel to Zeus / Satan who Hesiod described as the “lord of justice”.
We known from the Bible that judgment was determined by the Urim and Thumim. We can think of this as 0-1 computer code., through which the decision of the hyper dimensional divinity was conveyed to his four dimensional mediator and thence to the masses. Yes or no? Right or wrong? In terms of criminal justice, this is more like Guilty or Innocent?
Since these divination devices are so unfamiliar to our culture, I dug down into the linguistics to better understand them.
The exact same word also translates as “the fire(s)” in a sacred context in Isaiah’s prophecies of judgment.
“so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem…Turn ye unto him [the LORD} from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted….Then shall the Assyrian fall...saith the LORD, WHOSE fire is in Zion, and HIS furnace in Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 31)
A little background is important. In the lineage-obsessed royalty of Mesopotamia, “the” Assyrian is not the current ruler per se, but his ancestor / god Assur who legitimizes, empowers and continues to rule through each successive ruler. The biblical reference to Assur informs us that this is one of the first long-lived fathers / gods of the nations, originally confederate with Nimrod in building Babel. Their first cousin Arphaxad’s descendants, called the Chaldeans, congregated in Babylon and are considered to be the live continuation of all the indigenous, i.e. “first people” of Mesopotamia.
Ur / Eridu is considered to be “the oldest city in Sumer according to the king lists, and its patron god was Enki (Ea)…one of the most important of the prehistoric urban centres in southern Babylonia. Founded…probably in the 5th millennium BC [pre-flood], it fully illustrated the sequence of the preliterate Ubaid civilization.”
The logical reason for YHVH using “Ur” to mean “fire in a furnace” in Zion / Jerusalem is that he is contrasting it with the Ur / fire in a furnace” of the Chaldees.
This only makes sense if Ur of the Chaldees was world famous for its fiery furnace. And surely Babylonian Nebuchadnezzar cannot be assumed to have been the first to make use of “a burning fiery furnace” to eliminate religious heretics. In support of this consideration is the fact that the older Hebrew word for fire – / ur / אוּרִ – is obviously the precursor root word in the later Aramaic word for fiery – nur / נוּר.
The prime support for this consideration is Jasher’s account of Abram being judged by Nimrod’s court for the same transgression of “having despised our gods, he must therefore be burned to death, for this is the law in this matter.”
This law continued throughout history.
The more I examine the historical documents of Roman Catholicism, the more convinced I am that the Protestant Reformation was a good idea. Believe it or not, the belief that heretics should be burned to death is the historic and infallible declaration of Catholicism. In the papal bull Exsurge Domine by Pope Leo X condemning the errors of Martin Luther, Leo declared that it is an error to be opposed to the burning of heretics.
This bull has never been rescinded, despite the Pope’s ecumenical visit to Sweden in October 2016 declaring that Catholics and Lutherans are ‘no longer defining themselves in opposition to each other,’ because Pope Leo X “reserved for himself the possibility.”
That’s unsettling as regards the uncertainty principle for the future.
Continuing to examine the evidence for judgment by Urim / fires:
“Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them. Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed…He heweth him down…the trees of the forest…Then shall it be for a man to burn…and saith, Aha…I have seen the [sacred] fire!
Don’t miss the major foreshadowing and and double meaning here!
And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say,
- I have burned part of it in the fire;
- yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it:
- and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand? Remember these:
- I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
- That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad…
Then Isaiah, speaking on behalf of mankind:
- “He is near that justifieth me;
- let us stand together:
- Behold, the LORD God will help me;
- Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that [yet] walketh in darkness [confusion], and hath no light [clarity]? let him trust in the name [attribute of life-giver] of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
- [In contrast!] Behold, all ye that kindle a fire [false light] that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of YOUR fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.” (Isaiah 50)
The definition of um / אוּר as “fire that is sacred” is confirmed not only by its context when rarely used, but by the exclusivity of its use in this context in one of the classically concretized prophecies by Ezekiel. Can’t understand abstract concepts like saved vs doomed? Here’s a concrete example, what else can be said? No excuse for you now.
“And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber’s razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.”
Pause here to understand that YHVH has just ordered his prophet to disregard, yet again, one of the Mosaic laws, in order to virulently arrest the attention of his audience for one last-ditch attempt to save them from doom. At the same time that Ezekiel was preaching to the captives in Babylon, Jeremiah was back in Jerusalem also spreading the same message.
“say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth. Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away…for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath. For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.” (Jeremiah 7:28-30)
This means that it is prohibited to shave your sideburns (pe’ot) up to the top of the ear and make your hairline equal on all sides of the head…Traditionally, this commandment is interpreted as not even cutting any hair above the cheekbone, leaving short sideburns.
A Nazirite is supposed to grow his hair long and it is forbidden for him to cut his hair at all, whether the hairs of his head or his beard (See Numbers 6:5).
Back to Ezekiel in Babylon:
“Thou shalt burn with [sacred] fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.
for thereof…she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations…Therefore thus saith the LORD God…Behold, I will execute judgment.” (Ezekiel 5:1-8)
These references provide unmistakeable proof that when the Urim / fires element on the High Priest’s breastplate of judgment was activated in some way – perhaps by motion or sound or flashing light – that YHVH had pronounced judgment on the guilty.
This is acted out at the last judgment as well.
“Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Matthew 25:40-41)
On to the Thummim which we can hope is a positive response equivalent to “Found Not Guilty.”
“Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
- I have walked in thy truth.
- I have not sat [made a place for mysef] with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
- I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
- I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
- Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
- I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. (Psalm 26)
With this background, does Paul’s statement become crystal clear?
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” (Colossians 2:8-10)
The two options of Ummim and Thummim are laid out clearly.
- “He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
- but he that perverteth his ways shall be known [found out, revealed despite a cover of right living]
- The way of the LORD is strength to the upright:
- but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.” (Proverbs 10:9,29)
But by far my favorite definition is “finished”.
“And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and unto all the elders of Israel. And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law...Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished.” (Deuteronomy 32)
When YHVH’s Savior completed the work his father had given him, he uttered the same phrase referencing Moses’ work. I am certain that he used the Hebrew language to get his point across to the scripturally literate Jews, just as he did when he called out to his Father “Why?!” And they got it.
Yeshua’s work had no meaning without Moses’ work. We believe on YHVH’s Savior because Moses wrote down an indisputable and scientifically validated account of YHVH’s work in creation, choice of mankind as his family and heirs to this universe, and redemption by the Seed of the Woman, the last Adam, a human whose faith in YHVH’s promise of resurrection was steadfast even through horrific torture and death. His resurrection proves the ultimate test of faith is achievable. Our righteousness, integrity, completeness is achieved through believing Moses’ account of YHVH as Creator and Resurrector through his Redeemer, the human we call Christ Jesus.
“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.” (II John 1:7-8)
And what about those who never heard of Jesus Christ? Logic dictates that if salvation by Jesus Christ stands on Moses’ account of YHVH as Creator, Sustainer, and Promiser of resurrection by means unknown for 4,000 years before his redeemer showed up in a backwater province in the Middle East, that anyone who is trusting in YHVH Creator by whatever language his attributes are named is judged to have integrity, uprightness, completion as much as the saints named in the Old Testament.
I am much more concerned about the Christians who think that salvation is a gift and Moses’ law can now be tossed aside. Will they be judged to have “walked [moved among society, behaved themselves] in integrity, uprightness”?
Or will they be judged to have followed an antichrist?
Revelation chapters 4-5,7,20-21 lists all the destinies of beings who are judged. There are actually more than just the two of heaven or hell.
While there are two options of being connected or disconnected from the Singularity, there are degrees of connection, as anyone who has worked in a large organization can testify. I’ve had the experience of having my phone calls to a private number answered promptly, and I’ve also had the experience of a supervisor refusing to answer my calls, blocking requested meetings, and utterly avoiding me because we didn’t see eye to eye.
- For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: – the basic package of eternal life.
- If we suffer, we shall also reign with him – the upgrade.
- If we deny him, he also will deny us. Fair enough. (II Timothy 2:12-13)
- Hell is under the earth, and is the immediate repository of souls disconnected from the infinite source of life, as detailed in the post Life and Death.
- The Lake of Fire is the final repository of hell, detailed below.
Basic package of eternal life granted to the Hebrew national Sons of God, composed of the pre-flood believers from Adam to Noah and many nationalities who separated themselves out from the Sumerian / Canaanite pagan culture to live righteously, AKA Sons of Abraham, scattered throughout the world and losing touch with the homeland but not with YHVH.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world…Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. For all that is in the world…is not of the Father…passeth away, and the lust thereof:
- the lust of the flesh,
- and the lust of the eyes,
- and the pride of life,
..and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith… (I John 5:4; 2:15-17)
“And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the LORDthy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.” (Luke 10:25-28)
I’ve cut out a lot of the arguments Paul was making to convince the Gentiles in Ephesus of their equality with the Jewish leadership, but not to eliminate these arguments. Simply to clarify the foundational point Paul is making in the context of this presentation to the world at large. The Bible makes it clear that we can’t make one clean break between the “Old Testament” of “the Jews” and the “New Testament” of the Christians claiming no-one else besides Christians are saved.
“Abraham our father…of all them that believe…For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith…ye are…fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God…And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets…for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” (Romans 4)
“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out [from Babylon’s guarantee of protection and daily bread] ..went out, not knowing whither he went…For he looked for a city / walled fort / preservation of life which hath foundations / permanence / eternal, whose builder and maker is God.”(Hebrews 11:8)
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto YHVH’s Savior the author / beginning and finisher / end of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” (Hebrews 12:1-6)
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world…Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. For all that is in the world…is not of the Father…passeth away, and the lust thereof:
- the lust of the flesh,
- and the lust of the eyes,
- and the pride of life,
..and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith… (I John 5:4; 2:15-17)
The reason different denominations struggle with understanding Revelation is their refusal to admit anyone but themselves into heaven despite clear statements stating this.
God’s children are scattered throughout the world geographically and historically. These are the household of faith, who trust that their needs are met, in both this life and the life to come, by the Creator, and consequently live righteously. Based on Paul’s admonition not to become tired of dealing with their ever-present needs, many of these are the “poor you will always have with you” not only in American churches but around the world in times when, and places where, they never heard the name of Jesus Christ or even YHVH. The Bible makes it plain that the only requirement is acknowledging the unarguable fact of, and acting on, the concept of Creator and right relationships, to the best of their knowledge.
“In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother…Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” (I John 4)
“seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves…a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth…(Luke 13:26-34)
Mahatma Gandhi’s exclusion from Christianity, his simple lifestyle, devotion to the service of others, and leadership of non-violent resistance to tyranny fits this model.
My own spirituality has been put to shame, and repaired somewhat, by the silent but public testimony of Moslem women undetered by Americans’ public rejection and persecution adhering to the righteous standards of modesty detailed by One Eternal God. In flagrant contradiction to Christian women provocatively dressed and dancing on stage in Christian churches, I must say, or closer to home, the typical believer following fashion trends regardless of how inappropriate they are to basic modesty.
Islam did not invent head coverings. “It is a beautiful tradition dating back thousands of years and does not suppress a woman’s individuality and strength, but quite the opposite – it liberates women in that they are not judged by outward appearance but through piety, dignity, value, intelligence, and humility…women around the world…throughout history, donned their own form of hijab, upholding ideals that are central and universal to us all.” Including Christian women until very recently.”“I think part of it had to do with women not wanting to be told what to do, darnit—not being told whether you have to be respectable, have to do this, do that,” says Conti.”
Being “dead with” God’s Anointed Ones doesn’t mean simply mentally considering your punishment of death for your sin was taken on by Jesus Christ so now you also rise to eternal life with him. It means identifying with Yeshua’s entire life of sacrifice and suffering by sharing in that as well. It means accepting public humiliation, rejection by family and friends, enduring loss of jobs, financial insecurity and quality of life in this world.
“endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ…I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. Therefore I endure all things…that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:” (II Timothy 2:3-11)
Sons of God within the nation ruled by the Prince of El / Most High God, i.e Isra-El
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them [as human genes permanently indwell mortal flesh], and walk in [mobilize] them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye [Gentile believers] eparate [like the Jews], saith the Lord, and touch not he unclean thing [of paganism]; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters / Rulers, saith the Lord Almighty.” (II Corinthians 6:16-18)
“The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord…and the God of Israel will be your reward…Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: So shall he sprinkle [clean] many nations;” (Isaiah 53:10-15)
“And many of the people of the land [Persian Empire] became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them…And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them. For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater. The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year; And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation.” (Esther 8-9)
Rulers in the Order of Melchizedek, like Joseph / Ephraim, delegated responsibility to ensure everyone’s needs are met.
“And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them – the majority of the inhabitants – their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing…he will make him ruler over all that he hath...And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down [sign of ruling from a throne, while the attendants and supplicants stand] in the kingdom of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.” (Luke 12)
“It is a faithful saying:
- For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
- If we suffer, we shall also reign with him.” (II Timothy 2:11-12)
This should not come as a surprise. Over and over in Genesis only the “elect” are “chosen” to inherit the estate and all the administrative responsibilities that come with it, based on demonstrated leadership qualities like – their likeness to – the Father, but most of the children are still counted in the family.
Just one notable example is that
- all of Jacob’s / Israel’s twelve sons were included in the family and inherited property and destinies based on their behaviors in this lifetime,
- but only Judah inherited the role of ruler over the entire family,
- and only Joseph inherited, through Jacob’s elevation of Joseph’s two sons Ephraim and Manassehto Joseph’s genealogical level of sonship, a double portion of property
- through Ephraim, Joseph ultimately rules over 10 of 12 tribes,
- while the tribe of Dan is eventually totally eliminated from Israel for choosing to worship an image instead of YHVH. Individuals originally from the tribe of Dan could still be among God’s people, by rejecting Dan’s religion and worshipping at Jerusalem, i.e. becoming identified as a Jew.
Servants who aren’t doing right. No surprises here. They are misrepresenting God out of greed or laziness.
“cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 25:30)
We are given biblical examples of living but disconnected from all society.
“Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought…I will run after him, and take somewhat of him….And he said…My master hath sent me, saying…give…I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents…And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither. And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee…? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.” (II Kings 5)
Outer darkness should be easily understood from Genesis chapter 1, reinforced by Elisha, to be away from the presence and restorative power of the Singularity. However, Gehazi is still alive and has offspring, which indicates eternal life. He, and others like him, just survive at the fringes of society. Basically a leper colony.
Again with God’s workers. These are not the sheep. They are God’s anointed workers who get carried away with amassing the things of this world despite their temporary nature. Every grand church building and all wealth made of material substance gets burned up with the world. Only hyper dimensional / spiritual beings survive into the new world. Souls of people are the treasures we should be pouring our time and energy into ever-increasing value, not stock portfolios.
“Every man’s work shall be made manifest…because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
- If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
- If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (I Corinthians 3:11-15)
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write…I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot…I will spue thee out of my mouth. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire…As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” (Revelation 3:14-19)
Believers in name only who work iniquity
“Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence [taken communion]… But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. here shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when…yourselves thrust out.” (Luke 13:26-28)
As detailed in the post In Earth As In Heaven, the LORD’s sanctified and mighty ones are both angelic and human sons of God.
Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it…I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.” (Isaiah 13)
As detailed in the post The Hebrew Nation, sanctified humans, AKA saints, are people from all nations who accept YHVH / Creator as their Father / national identity and authority, giving power, and glory, and honor, and blessing to him.
The alternative is to elevate a created being in his place – gods / aliens, scientists, philosophers, religious leaders, or self, as the ultimate authority.
This is blasphemy.
“the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:18-22)
As detailed in the post The Law of Melchizedek, the saints of God are not confined to the nation of Israel in either the Old or New Testaments. Enoch and Noah before the flood, and Abraham and Isaac after the flood are just four people proving that the saints of God identifies individuals from Adam onward who assembled themselves under God’s human Melchizedek. Shem provided continuity from the pre-flood to the post-flood world in the assembly of saints. At the time of the dispersion of all people into nations at Babel, Shem is identified as the father of all the children of Eber, i.e. the Hebrews. This is the entire body of believers who put their faith in YHVH’s Promised Savior.
“Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ…to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ / YHVH’s Promised Savior, and called…Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core…And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all. (Jude 1)
As detailed in the post The Promised Land, as the nations grew in numbers and power and the Hebrews were dispersed throughout the world, God established the nation of Israel as his governing body with his capitol as Jerusalem. That delegation didn’t wipe out the Hebrew believers who were still acknowledged by God be his sons. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to Bible believers who take “For God so loved the world” (John 3:16) at face value.
The cowardice and indolence of the majority of so-called Bible believing Gentile Christians accounts for the lack of qualified workers in the Lord’s administration including ministry of defense and no doubt will account for the shock of nominal Christians when they are judged “NOT the people of God”.
