“And God said, Let us make man in our image…in the image of God made he man.” (Genesis 1:26, 9:6)
Whether or not we believe the account, a reliable analysis of the Hebrew records states clearly that as well as being created in his likeness / attributes, humanity was created in the Singularity’s own image / what he looks like.
But we find an inconsistency with this. The hyper dimensional sons of God who were “spun” out of nothing but Creator himself were artistically formed into a proliferation of looks. Some are described in the Bible but mainly we find them in ancient pagan records where there was much more face time familiarity with those who made themselves into the false gods.
Logically, therefore, we have to question how it is that just one created being can claim to be uniquely in his image?
“we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory…without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh.” (I Corinthians 2:7, I Timothy 3:16)
What this is saying is that God chose to make the human image the one he incorporates as his own. Literally.
“Fear not Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son…The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God..” (Luke 1:30-35)
Recall the angels were brought into existence at the beginning of creation, when there was nothing material, not even the earth. They are purely spirit beings with hyper dimensional m=E/c2.
But man was made at the end of creation, after the Singularity had already converted some of his pure energy to mass and uses that existing mass to form mankind into which he incorporates his spirit.
“And the LORD God
- formed man of the dust of the ground,
- and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life / inflated his lifeless body with energy
and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7)
Physically, humans are literally the “salt of the earth”, i.e. the elements like sodium and chloride and iron and oxygen and potassium and all the other elements forming the “dust” of the earth. Can we not recognize that this makes mankind entirely different from the pure energy angels?
“There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.” (I Corinthians 15:40)
the name / identifying attribute of [the Hebrew] God…is the sacred Tetragrammaton YHVH…breathed, with the tongue relaxed and lips apart…formally the name of God was not, could not be spoken at all — only breathed.
The idea of breath and breathing features prominently throughout scripture. Both Hebrew and Greek have words to express “breath of God” as the Spirit of God which gives life and expresses God’s love and power. In Hebrew, the word is ruach. In Greek, the word is pneuma…
“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” This rendering of the psalm from the King James Version of the Bible is most consistent with the breathing metaphor of this thesis…
As we become aware of our breathlessness before God, God’s grace allows us to reconnect with the Living God who is the source of our breath and life…The wordplay in Psalm 42 suggests this type of panting. As the hart (deer) pants for streams of water, so does the heart (soul) of the psalmist pant for the living water (John 4:10-14)…
Breathing is necessary for living. That fact remains unchallenged. Modern science possesses a keen grasp of the physical nature of respiration, but throughout history many cultures attached a spiritual significance to the act of breathing. According to ancient Egyptian medical papyri (2750-2625 B.C.) the air we breathe is imbued with a spiritual quality…
The Greeks and Romans (beginning around 500 B.C.) also commented on the spirit-infused nature of air. Greek philosophy held that there is an unquantifiable yet vital essence within all things called pneuma, often translated as “spirit,” “breath,” or “air…”
The Greek philosopher Aristotle (384-322 B.C.) championed the theory of vitalism which claims that living things are fundamentally different from non-living things because they contain a non-physical element absent from non-living things. Aristotle called this non-physical element the “psyche,” an animating spirit or soul…
Respiration involves both inspiration and expiration. In Genesis 2:7, God breathes into Adam and Adam becomes a living being (inspiration) who then acts as the caretaker of God’s creation (exhalation)…As God exhales, humankind inhales. As humankind exhales, God inhales. The triune God, who is communal by nature, reaches out to us (emanation) and draws us back into communion and community with the triune God (return)…
The Creator God, from whom we draw our breath, continues to be our inspiration, our source of power and life. To be like Christ is our aspiration, to be transformed and invigorated for the work of God’s impending reign. Then, with the Holy Spirit, we conspire with and are sent out to do thework of claiming God’s reign on earth as it is in heaven. This is the basic movement of Christian life. We inhale the Spirit of God and exhale the reign of God.
When we operate as designed, we combine the the best of both domains – hyper dimensionality and physicality.
When we don’t operate as designed, we have a problem.
The root of the matter is the way we feel and conceive of ourselves as human beings. Our sensation of being alive, of individual existence and identity. We suffer from a hallucination, from a false and distorted sensation of our own existence as living organisms. Most of us have the sensation that “I, myself” is a separate center of feeling and action, living inside and bounded by the physical body. A center with confronts an external world of people and things, making contact through the senses with a universe both alien and strange…
This feeling of being lonely and very temporary visitors in the universe is in flat contradiction to everything known about man and all other living organisms in the sciences. We do not come into this world. We come out of it.
I don’t agree with all the conclusions made by Alan Watts because he loses the thread of provenance and falls back on his personal philosophizing, but his statement of the problem is nicely put.
Remember E = mc2. Humans manifest the fullness of the Singularity’s expression of energy AND mass.
Humanity is the flourish signature of the magnificent artist, the masterpiece by which he is acclaimed for eternity.
“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and [yet] hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:” (Psalm 8)
Humans are the pinnacle of the hierarchy of physical creation!
The superiority of humans over angels is outlined by the powers given only to humans, and desperately desired by angels.
- Gifted with knowledge
- “When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men….apostles…prophets …evangelists…pastors and teachers…till we all come in…the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man.” (Ephesians 4:8-13)
- “Unto whom it was revealed, that…unto us…are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.” (I Peter 1:12)
- Rule over the angels
- “…we shall judge angels.” (I Corinthians 6:3)
- Sit in honor
- “…God…made us sit together in heavenly places in Yahweh’s Chosen Savior/Messiah Yeshua/Christ Jesus…” (Ephesians 2:4-6)
- Ascend above the clouds
- “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in The Chosen One / Messiah / Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
- Identified with God
- “…in him [Messiah] dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” (Colossians 2:9-10)
The value of these super-human powers can be measured by the adversary’s determination to seize them for himself. While it is commonly reported that Lucifer determined to take God’s place, if we pay attention we realize that these prerogatives were being freely given to humans.
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! …For thou hast said in thine heart: (Isaiah 14:12-14)
- I will ascend into heaven, i.e. lay hold of the knowledge of heaven, be omniscient.
- “I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. Who hath ascended up into heaven…?” (Proverbs 30:3-4)
- “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.” (Psalm 139:6)
- I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, i.e. rule over the other stars / sons of God.
- “After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman…and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.” (Esther 3:1)
- I will sit also [upon the mount of the congregation,] i.e. sit while everyone else either bows or stands out of respect, be honored by everyone else, as still is the case in a court of law when the judge enters and takes his seat.
- “And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.” (Esther 3:2)
- I will ascend above…the clouds, i.e be the judge of what is right and wrong, bringing judgment of wrongdoers in the clouds.
- “…can any understand the spreadings of the clouds…For by them judgeth he the people…(Job 36:29-31)
- “The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about…worship him, all ye gods.” (Psalm 97:1-7)
- “Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are! And thou sayest, [note, the following questions are by a sceptic] How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud? Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; [statement of denial by one who doesn’t want God to see what he does] and he walketh in the circuit of heaven [he oversees all]. [Rebuttal by a believer.] Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee…lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” (Job 22:12-17)
- “Behold, he [Yeshua] cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” (Revelation 1:7)
- I will be like the most High.” i.e. in the full attributes of power and authority.
- “…who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee?” (Psalm 89:6-8)
Once we’re grounded (good pun) in the concept of the Singularity, it totally makes sense that the son who God put in charge of the material earth was not a spirit being, but a being composed of earth itself. Singularity! Who else could identify with, feel for, have compassion on, sacrifice himself for the Earth in an interdependent relationship?
“Look not every man on his own things [egotistical, selfish], but every man also on the things [needs] of others.” (Philippians 2:4)
The creation of humanity is the high point, the culmination of the immense saga so sparsely outlined in Genesis chapter one. “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion,” is the plot of the entire Bible.
Humans are the super-warriors, the final solution as the days of Creation inevitably descend into destruction by adversaries every night.
“[H]is dear son…the image of the invisible God, the firstborn [first chosen son] of every creature…by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible…all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist…For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And…to reconcile all things unto himself [return to some form of singularity.]” (Colossians 1:13-20)
God wants the one thing no amount of power can form or force. And it isn’t grand houses and lavish possessions or even constant devotion. Those are the objectives of a malignant narcissist.
God wants what innocent babies and children and people of good character want.
Love. Given freely, with the whole, undivided heart, in total unity, two becoming one, forming an interdependent family meeting each other’s needs for attention, affection, growth and development, bearing one another’s burdens through for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness or in health.
“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me?…but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.“ (Isaiah 66:1-2)
Don’t think that “tremble” is necessarily in terror. The relationship may start with being overwhelmed by immense power, status, awareness of one’s own unworthiness to be associated with such grandeur. That’s how I felt as a 19 year old poorly dressed part-time secretary working in an emergency room whenever I was confronted by this particular doctor. But in time, as a relationship developed, my trembling at his word was of quite a different sort. And we two became one and added children.
The Singularity of Father, Son, Holy Spirit heads up the ultimate unity of a perfect family.
“For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings….Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.” (Hebrews 2:10-15)
In order to understand this theological statement, we must connect the wrap up of the whole story in the writings called the New Testament with the introduction of the whole plot in Genesis 1.
In literary fiction, a good ending has certain elements…the story arc has come to its logical end and the character has achieved their main goal. The elements of a good and satisfying ending include:
- Resolution: An ending must always wrap up and resolve the central conflict you laid out in the beginning of the novel.
- In this case, the conflict is the fallen angels’ determination to pillage and destroy what they envied but could not have.
- Transformation: A story’s ending should bring a powerful close to your character development.
- In this case, God’s character develops from being the sole being, the Singularity, to becoming the Creator and therefore totally in control, to freely giving control to mankind.
- Suspense: A story’s ending is intensified when there’s a moment when the main character might not succeed. That last-minute tension makes the ending more satisfying when the main character overcomes their obstacles.
- That tension is recounted right after the man and cloned woman take possession of their dominion, when the woman disconnects from the Creator to engage with the Adversary. Is all lost?!
- Surprise: Readers follow a character’s story to be entertained. Satisfying endings have an element of surprise. Predictable endings will make a great story fall flat.
- The entire rest of the biblical account consists of ongoing conflict with the Adversary and plot twists and clues and predictions up to the last Revelation of the mystery.
The central conflict in humanity’s history is the persistent battle with the Adversary. The first Adam’s job of taking dominion over the earth, could only succeed by following his Father’s right (eous) way of doing things.
Plot twist and suspense #1: When Adam failed to do the right thing the inevitable result was damage and death as much as if a surgeon did the wrong thing during a heart surgery.
Plot twist and suspense #2 -The transfer of the sin nature is scientifically described by epigenetics, the genetic inheritance of parental behaviors.
The apostle Paul reiterates this definition of sin, describing it as the condition of failing to meet God’s perfect standard of always doing the right thing.
All humans who want to overcome the forces of destruction and death need to get in the battle against evil, and not just for our own selfish interest to escape an eternity in hell. Like Adam, we must work towards the deliverance for the whole world from sin and its consequences. At least of our loved ones, don’t you think?
“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the [human] sons of God…Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” (Romans 8:11-22)
This is only made possible by superhuman empowerment, through access to, the Singularity.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God…The Spirit [of the Singularity] itself beareth witness with our [human] spirit, that we are the children of God… heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer [in battle] with him, that we may be also glorified together [with our medals for bravery in battle]. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:17-19)
But how, if all humans have a sin nature which disconnects us from a purely righteous God?
The solution was provided before the project was even undertaken.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in his chosen one: According as he hath chosen us [not angels] in him before the foundation of the world, that WE [not angels] should be holy and without blame before him IN LOVE [not intrinsic worth]: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will…” (Ephesians 1:3-10)
A human triumphs over the opposition to fulfill God’s commitment that humans, not the gods / beings associated with the stars / aliens, take dominion over creation.
How? Whereas the first Adam was conquered by sin, the last Adam conquered sin by living a perfectly right-eous life. Apply the earliest teaching direct from the source YHVH.
“And the LORD said unto Cain…“If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?…sin lieth at the door…and [if thou doest well] thou shalt rule over him.” (Genesis 3:15, 4:1-7)
All Adams / Humans from any era of history or culture who would be God’s sons must also be perfectly righteous like him. How is this possible?
In another reversal of the normally selfish human nature, proving YHVH’s Anointed Savior has God’s selfless nature, the immutable law of God’s justice is balanced, like the immutable Law of the Conservation of Energy by transferring sin onto Jesus Christ. A simple analogy is copying files from one computer to another.
“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46)
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:” (I Peter 2:24)
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (II Corinthians 5:21)
We know that an alcoholic’s liver and even brain regenerate after they are no longer damaged by toxic substances. At a higher degree of this process, Jesus’ entire body regenerated to immortal. His resurrection proved that God had judged him, declared him innocent of any sin, therefore overturned the death sentence.
“YHVH’s Anointed Savior / Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness / sinlessness, by the resurrection from the dead:” (Romans 1:3-4)
And any human who is united with him, is identified with his sinlessness.
The process of being made a righteousness son of God is detailed by the New Testament Pharisee expert on the Old Testament scriptures.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
“what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness…to him that…believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.” (Romans 4:3-8)
“the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of YHVH’s Promised Deliverer / Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe…Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in YHVH’s Promised Deliverer from sin; Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, [which contains shared human genetics] to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.” (Romans 3:21-26)
Honestly, growing up in a Baptist church where we proclaimed in countless songs and verses and stories and sermons that we needed to believe in Jesus Christ, I never understood exactly what it was we lucky Christians are believing about him.
Turns out you have to start at the beginning if you want to understand the middle of the story.
“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this…her [the human woman’s] seed…shall bruise [crush] thy head [destroy you].” (Genesis 3:14-15)
“Cain was very wroth…And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth?…If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire...And…Cain slew [Abel]…then began men to call upon the name of the LORD / Singularity / Creator.” (Genesis 4:6-7, 25-26)
“whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.” (Romans 10:13-18)
Zoroastrianism is arguably the world’s oldest monotheistic religion. It centers on the words of the prophet Zarathushtra, called Zoroaster by the ancient Greeks, and focuses worship upon Ahura Mazda, the Lord of Wisdom. It also acknowledges two competing principles representing good and evil: Spenta Mainyu (“Bounteous Spirit”) and Angra Mainyu (“Destructive Spirit”). Humans are intimately involved in this struggle, holding off chaos and destruction through active goodness…
Ahura Mazda, the Zoroastrian Supreme Creator, is the only god worshiped, although the existence of lesser spiritual beings is also recognized. The overriding ethical principle of Zoroastrianism is Humata, Hukhta, Huveshta: “to think good, to speak good, to act good.” This is the divine expectation of humans, and only through goodness will chaos be kept at bay…
It’s important to note that, because Zoroastrianism is so ancient, beliefs and rituals have changed over time.
And not just Zorostrianism.
Christianity has turned salvation from a shared responsibility to an entitlement.
“I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ / The Promised Deliverer…such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.” ( II Corinthians 11:3,13)
“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ / The Promised Seed: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith….Because that which may be known of God…God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead” (Romans 1:16-23)
So how can Christians think they are the only ones who are saved, especially if they believe in evolution?
“But as many as received him [in his proclaimed status], to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name / attributes of YHVH’s Savior” (John 1:12)
Humans don’t just wrap up the process of becoming a child of God by “making a decision for Christ” any more than we become married when we make a decision for a potential spouse to marry. It’s a mutually agreed upon relationship.
“Receiving” the Lord YHVH’s Promised Savior means agreeing to unite with him, to express his Singularity in attributes and legacy in by carrying out his will to whatever extent it has been revealed.
“In my Father’s house are many mansions [permanent indestructible dwellings like those that have endured on earth for thousands of years, unlike tents or wooden houses]… [As in preparation for marriage] I go to prepare a place for you / the essential self, soul. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:2-3)
Every human who agrees to receive Jesus is likewise received by Jesus to the extent that the human cooperates. Think of it like conquering the destructive forces of substance abuse. The addict can only conquer addiction by refusing to drink or do drugs.
“work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure…That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.” (Philippians 2:12-16)
The proof that one has indeed become a son of God is the presence of his spirit declaring his name / unique characteristics through freely chosen actions consistent with God’s values.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God…whereby we cry, Abba / Daddy. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God“” (Romans 8:14-16)
Think of this like children who walk into the doctor’s office without an appointment and hang out until the doctor takes them home at the end of the day. Why? Because they share the doctor’s name, they are members of his family and they act like it, respectful and responsible towards his staff and patients, even during the worse times of a boring wait until Daddy is finished taking care of other people rather than meeting their immediate desires to go home, to change the channel on the waiting room television, to order a pizza, etc.
Think of a marriage where only names are shared but not values, and exploitation of the other’s resources is the purpose of the relationship. There is no true “two becoming one for better or worse, in sickness or in health”, reflected in alienation, conflict, infidelity and divorce. A person who takes the name of Christian but fails to take on any of his the Promised Savior’s attributes and behaviors will not be received into the Singularity.
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not…thy name?…And then will I profess unto them, I never knew [became intimate with] you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:21-23)
The final step in the transformation into sons of God is when humans receive spiritual bodies in the future Day of Judgment.
“I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:” (Job 19:25-26)
“if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:11)
“Now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” (I John 3:2)
“… the resurrection of the dead…It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body…as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly…flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep / die, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump [final call to battle].” (I Corinthians 15:42-52)
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle [temporary housing like a tent for camping] were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven…that mortality might be swallowed up of life.” (II Corinthians 5:1-4)
