If we organize the Last Days by location and main characters, we’ll recognize a developing trail leading to the final showdown between combatants.
- On earth: The seal events occur on earth, through the decisions and actions of humans. It appears that government agencies in multiple countries have been working hard to open access through the protective firmament and are inviting hyper dimensional beings into our domain. It appears that we are currently cycling through seals 1-5, poised to experience seal 6, the start of WWIII.
- In the atmosphere: The events that occur after the blowing of trumpets 1-4 occur in the earth’s atmosphere, and can be manipulated by “the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worth in the children of disobedience.” (Ephesians 6:2) They are the responses of Satan’s spirit forces to God’s announcement of impending battle. As spirits, they manipulate human puppets.
- From the sea – what we call “outer” space on the other side of the firmament. This is where the rebel angels came from, to earth, empowering the four great empires from Babylon to our modern incarnation of Rome. Rebel angels are released from their prison in the deep by human collaborators. After trumpet blasts 5-6 they unleash the same destructive forces that brought humanity to near-extinction in the days of Noah.
These are the same beings worshipped as rival gods to the One True God in ancient times, especially Apollo by name but also others.
Since excavations began in 1995, the site in southeastern Turkey has changed the way archaeologists think about the origins of civilization. Its circular structures, with their elaborately carved stones and distinctive, T-shaped pillars, are more than 12,000 years old… [From a biblical perspective, older than the flood.]
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Turkey’s Doğuş Group will announce Wednesday that they plan to spend $15 million over the next 20 years on the project, in partnership with the National Geographic Society. “Göbekli Tepe is our zero point in time,” Doğuş Group chairman Ferit F. Şahenk said in a press release.
The Western gods may have gone undercover, as graphically portrayed in the television adaptation of the novel American Gods by Neil Gaiman, but four dimensional humans do not have the power to eliminate the hyper dimensional world. The rise of Humanism as a belief system doesn’t alter reality.
The Influence of Classical Rome on the Founding of the United States
The Founding Fathers gathered in the summer of 1787 to draft a new constitution for the young United States after America’s independence was won in the Revolutionary War. While Enlightenment ideals of many European political philosophers influenced the drafting of the Constitution, another key influence on the Founding Fathers came from classical antiquity. The large scopes of the Roman Republic and Empire as well as the Athenian Empire largely shaped the Europe that the Founding Fathers were born and reared in…From Rome, my paper will cover political thought from the establishment of the Twelve Tables circa 450 B.C.E. to the fall of the Republic under Caesar by 46 B.C.E….
Outside of the Constitution Convention, the Founders used classical rhetoric to foment the American Revolution…to portray the British Empire as dictatorial…From the 1760s until the Revolution, Americans would characterize the British as “the Rome of the corrupt tyranny of the most hated Caesars” in a process of Nerofication of the British Empire…
In one way or another, the men that helped to craft the United States Constitution were educated, professionally or individually, with classical texts…The Bible and the writings of classical antiquity were the main educational tools…
In a [grammar school] student’s fourth year of education, they would be reading classical texts like Ovid’s De Tristibus and Metamorphoses and Cicero’s Orations…Just as the classics were a main pillar of grammar school and private education, it was also the main foundation upon which the United States began building its early colleges and universities…
at the major institutions of higher learning in early America, one-third of the curriculum was devoted to the classics…
The admission requirements for Williams, Brown, King’s College, Yale, and Harvard were identical from 1790 to 1800; students needed to read Cicero, Virgil and the New Testament in Greek…
In particular, early Americans had an affinity for ancient Rome…
Jefferson…noted… “I am immersed in antiquities from morning to night. For me the city of Rome is actually existing in all the splendor of its empire…
Today, the coins of the United States of America are inscribed with the Latin phrase E
Pluribus Unum which translates to, “From Many, One.” This Latin phrase, that is on every coin and dollar bill, is a fitting reflection of the United States’ deep history and fascination with classical antiquity.
In today’s post-modern world, the ancient gods have been reframed as aliens from outer space.
Or is that just semantics? Certainly the gods have always been associated with the stars.
Draco is a large but not particularly prominent constellation which snakes its way around the north celestial pole, encircling Ursa Minoron three sides.
The name ‘Draco’ is Latin for ‘dragon’, and is identified as the dragon employed by Zeus’ wife Hera to guard a tree on which golden apples grew.
I think we can all recognize the plagiarism in that story.
The following information is obviously from a non-Christian viewpoint. As such it offers a great deal of valuable insight into the perspective of the ancient and unseen realm.
If each group of Gods, considering that everyone belonged to a constellationand was affiliated with the Galactic Confession of Light, had come to Earth to contribute to the development of the human species, then on…what criteria did they share their functions and positions within the group they were part of? It is well known that all ancient cultures were based on polytheism, except the Geto-Dacians, where Zamolxe had taught the Dacian ancestors and their forefathers that there is one Great God or the Father of all Gods, that is God or Creator.
For example…many of the stories of the Gods related to the struggles within each group, as we know, for example, in Greek and Egyptian mythology…no matter how evolved they were, they showed envy, jealousy and resentment to each other.
From this point of view, we can realize that even in those times, and even to beings more evolved than the people of that time, things and situations similar to what we are doing today are happening and provoking them. In other words, the Gods – that is, those humanoid beings at that time, were not much better morally than humans. But certainly mentally and intellectually, they were far ahead of people, so they also had the opportunity to manipulate energies and matter…
As with the myth of the dragon “guarding” the fruit tree, the tales of the Serpent and his Seed are twisted (I hope you picked up on that package of puns) versions of the Woman’s Seed’s relationship and role with mankind.
“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?” (Matthew 12:24-26)
Now that is a sensible perspective on involvement with the gods. Don’t forget the basis of evolution is survival of the fittest, so many people will die.
Hyper dimensional beings are luring humanity to break through the protective firmament above earth, to allow them access to our domain.
Whilst many would be excited about the prospect of meeting Aliens or seeing a UFO, Professor Stephen Hawking believes that we should not try and make contact with them and hope that they don’t notice us.
Professor Hawking [“Considered by many to be the “modern Einstein”, Hawking’s work in cosmology and theoretical physics was unmatched among his contemporaries]is of the opinion that Aliens might appear in massive ships, looking for planets to conquer and colonise, perhaps seeking resources that have been used up on their home planet…
advanced life forms would surely look for new homes, if they have the technology to do so… [Emphasis added.]
Maybe, until we are better prepared for less than friendly Alien visitors, we should take Stephen Hawking’s advice seriously. Unfortunately, if we wait until it happens, the chances are it will be too late to do anything about it!
Without question, competing world powers will recognize the value of allying with some faction of this latest and greatest powerhouse, forcing their challengers to do the same. Allies and Axis, version 3.0, a major upgrade from atomic warfare.
And some incredibly deluded people, doubtless employing the anxiety-reducing coping mechanism of denial, believe that aliens come in peace, to generously share their advanced knowledge to solve our problems and improve our world. Therefore many people will fight for them to take advantage of their promises to “evolve”.
Is it just coincidence that in the last few decades there has been a media blitz focused on the concept of aliens from outer space visiting our planet? It should therefore not come as a surprise that more and more people do believe that a more highly developed race of beings will contact us from outer space.
The fact that increasing numbers of people believe in aliens who will come in peace has far greater importance than a simple statement of either 1) gullibility by people who get all their information from television or 2) insight by people who have studied the spirit dimension from the perspective of either Creator God or the rebel gods.
It’s the issue of belief.
Beliefs are the thoughts in our head that influence our behavior, attitude and actions. The beliefs that affect our lives are either Empowering Beliefs which enable us to lead flourishing lives or Self Limiting Beliefs that stop us from achieving our goals and where we live a life where we languish and flounder.
The Power of Choice is a wonderful gift that we all have and it is this gift that enables us to make choices about what we want to believe and what we don’t want to believe.
These statements from a highly successful motivational speaker are consistent with biblical truths.
- Empowering beliefs: “And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy…I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed… And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.” (Matthew 8:5-8,13)
- Self limiting beliefs: “And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:5
- Power of choice: “The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels…The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction….For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth [responds] unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.” (Proverbs 1:1-7,29-33)
The lie about belief is that it creates your desired destination.
The truth about belief is that it will lead us to an existing destination.
The lie is offered in magic.
At the dawning of the third millennium, a belief in the reality and efficacy of witchcraft and magic is no longer an integral component of mainstream Western culture…however, beliefs in witches and sorcerers are still firmly retained…in an age characterised by the faltering of elite intellectual self-confidence…and the erosion of faith in human ‘progress’ – symbolised by the apparent failures of science and socialism…
the high magic of the Renaissance magus, a learned and visionary figure combining elements of the scientist and the priest, and entranced by the noble prospect of man controlling the cosmos by magical means [emphases added here and below]…humanity could realise its highest aspirations to understand and to compel the forces that govern the universe, and to make its nearest approach to divinity. Renaissance high magic rested firmly on the quasi-mystical philosophy of Neoplatonism…the so-called Hermetic writings…
Crucial to this conception was the Neoplatonist idea of the spiritus mundi, the spirit of the world, which infuses all things and which is the medium through which the influence of the stars is drawn down to earth. The purpose of magic then becomes that of attracting benign stellar influences and hindering malign ones; and the magician must study how to compel these forces by carving images on stones (talismans), chanting and singing mystical songs, making certain gestures and producing appropriate odours, all at the astrologically propitious times. The spiritual unity of the world is the ground of the ‘sympathies’ among its parts which are the magician’s concern…There was much debate about the extent to which high magic relied on demons...some of its exponents…talk of ‘planetary deities‘, invited the charge that it was not really a natural magic, but rather a demonically facilitated one, and as such reprehensible. Some influential theorists…were actually willing to admit that their magic in some of its aspects employed demonic power…
Can we not see that the claim that higher powered spiritual union with the human unstable soul empowers the human is a lie?
All spirits are spin-offs of the Creator Holy Spirit, so regardless of the moral or immoral objective of the spirit’s interaction, they all function in the same way with four dimensional mortals.
The power of the hyper dimensional being flows through the human soul that is joined by believing and receiving the spirit. The soul then takes on the spirit’s values, motivations, goals and objectives, and executes them through the actions of the soul-directed body.
“as many as received him, to them gave he power…to them that believe on his name / attributes:” (John 1:12)
The objective of the superhuman spirit’s interaction with a human is always to empower the will of the hyper dimensional spirit in the four dimensional world. Unlike a lying spirit, the Bible doesn’t deny this. Note that in the following passages the ultimate objective of the sharing – ergo exponential increase – of spirit power / glorifying can be traced back to the will of the original spirit in the chain of command.
“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come;
I have manifested thy [secret] name [giving access to your power] unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world…Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
- For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me;
- and they have received them…
- and they have believed that thou didst send me...
- them also which shall believe on me through their word;
- thou, Father, art in me,
- and I in thee,
- that they also may be one in us:
For whose purpose? the Father’s!
- that the world may believe that thou hast sent me
- and that the world may know that thou hast sent me.” (John 17:1-23)
“Ye shall not see me…till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the LORD / YHVH.” (Matthew 23:39)
According to this line of reasoning, the gods and their chosen inhabited one / christ are empowered to return when – like Jesus Christ – they are believed on, called for, and welcomed.
Is this happening?
The world is a religious jungle with false prophets as detailed above and in the previous post Signs of the Times.
In particular, the New Age Movement for the spiritually minded, and equating aliens with the ancient gods for the open minded, has unlocked barred doors of opportunity for hyper dimensional beings by whatever name they are called.
Paganism remains a small, but growing, minority religious movement. The 2014 Pew Institute Religious Landscape Study reported that…In the US, the Pagan population is about the size of a small Protestant denomination.
The larger mainline Protestant denominations ranged from Episcopalians with 1.2 percent of respondents to Baptists with 2.1 percent of respondents.
About 2.1 percent of respondents identified as Jewish. About 20.8 percent of respondents identified as Catholic. Atheists made up 3.1 percent of respondents. Muslims constituted 0.9 percent of respondents.
And that’s just in the religious domain. So-called entertainment has broken down the barriers to the souls in a massive media onslaught, especially of our children.
We make a grave mistake when we think of evil spirits only as frightening monsters who assault us against our will, like a psychopath in a Halloween movie. (I was going to include a graphic here but it was just too creepy.) On the contrary, they are fascinating individuals whose real powers and lures of enriching our lives draws us to willingly identify with them.
It doesn’t take the genius mind of Stephen Hawkins to anticipate the next step in the relationship between a human being and his / her Master, “Ascended” or otherwise. The magicians, sorcerers, witches and others who think they are calling in beneficent spirits to do their bidding inevitably find themselves in bondage to the spirit being.
Ultimate bondage is experienced by any short-sighted individual who goes to a drug dealer, a loan shark, or a crime boss for a fix. They all will give you what you want in the short term, but it will definitely cost you sooner or later. The house always wins.
one thing that remained largely unchanged throughout the course of the series was its core: the relationship between Walt and Jesse Pinkman.
The engine that drove Breaking Bad forward, the torrid partnership between the proverbial master and protege that was Walt and Jesse was inarguably the strongest pillar of Breaking Bad…
While Jesse’s life may not have been that of a decent upstanding citizen when he first encounters Heisenberg, where he ends up is ultimately far worse, as the the series concludes with Jesse being an escaped slave whose life will remain on the run due to various previous crimes, including, you know, murder. [Emphasis added.]
But in between the beginning and the end, there’s a whole lot of middle that operates in an emotional gray area, and that gray area can be boiled down to one question: did Walt ever actually care about Jesse?…
No matter how many times he refers to him as “son”, no matter how many times he negotiates to save his life, Walt ultimately manipulated Jesse into whatever he needed him to be in that moment.
Even when considering the fact that Walt eventually freed the chain bound Pinkman from his Neo-Nazi captors, it was only through happenstance…He didn’t go there to save Jesse — he saved Jesse because he was there.
So what are we left with? Like their relationship itself, a bit of a gray area. Walt did — and up until the moment he dies, does — care about Jesse.
But, just like everyone else in the wake of his blood-soaked, meth-fueled destruction, he only cared when that adoration didn’t interfere with his own personal gain.
In his famous prophesy precisely predicting future political events, Daniel’s angelic messenger clearly defines that the human rulers of the world empires have always been controlled by spirit beings. This is consistent with the concept of sacred kingship which “continues to exert a recognizable influence in the modern world. At one time…kingdoms were in varying degrees connected with religious powers or religious institutions, there could be no kingdom that was not in some sense sacral.”
“In those days I Daniel…lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude…Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
- But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days:
- but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me;
- and I remained there with the kings of Persia…
- and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia:
- and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come… ” (Daniel 10:12-20)
- But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days:
Given Paul’s reliance on the Old Testament (see Everything New is Old Again), his “alert! alert!” are not revelations but reminders that the god of this world still works through his god-incarnate rulers. See the post A Nimrod by Any Name for details.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
- against powers,
- against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
- against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand…Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except…that man of sin be revealed,
- the son of perdition
- Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped
- he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God
- For the mystery of iniquity doth already work.” (Ephesians 6:11-13; II Thessalonians 2:3-9 )
There would have been no question to the readers of Paul’s letter as it circulated throughout Roman territory that the “mystery of iniquity” was the current world ruler who blatantly called himself Augustus Divi Filius / God, son of God, whether Nero Caesar in 54-68 AD or Domitian or the following holders of the title Augustus or Caesar. We too can track the father of lies and his evil scions through his lies.
“Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts rose up from the sea, diverse one from another.” (Daniel 7:2-3)
Ezekiel confirms that the “four winds of the heaven” are God’s ministers, and Daniel gives two of them the names of Gabriel and Michael.
“Thus saith the LORD God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live…and the breath came into them, and they lived…ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD. (Ezekiel 37:9-14)
All life is ultimately traced back to Creator God’s Spirit. Just as God’s spirit can be passed from his immortal righteous angels to humans, likewise fallen angels can pass their spirit to humans.
The Roman “mystery of iniquity” referenced by Paul in his day, and each successive manifestation of all four beasts seen by Daniel, have the same originating four spirits.
- “The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it…
- a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh…
- another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
- After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.” (Daniel 7)
When Octavian assumed leadership of Rome…he focused on consolidating power while at the same time maintaining the illusion that he did not have the absolute control of a king…
Octavian turned to his facility at propaganda…What he did was to take on not just one name or title, but a plethora of them, each of which individually didn’t seem that intimidating or autocratic, but which collectively bestowed unprecedented status and prestige upon him…all of these names or titles either had republican precedents or were based on long-standing cultural concepts, so that it appeared Octavian was respectful of tradition…
One of the most interesting of these was the title of Augustus, bestowed upon Octavian by a vote of the Senate [emphasis added]…On the one hand, to describe someone as “augustus” simply indicated that he was a deeply pious individual who was filled with respect for the gods. On the other…implied that he was holy or deserving of religious veneration…Augustus had a distinctly religious connotation as it was applied to deities. Augustus wanted to be seen as a god and after his death was included in the Roman pantheon…The duality of this term—is typical of the extraordinary facility that Octavian possessed for manipulating words and images to promote himself and his reign…
the honorific princeps civitatis…Like the word augustus…embodies contradictory meanings that can be viewed alternately as expressions of modesty or self-aggrandizement…Princeps is the root of the English word “prince…”
It had long been the custom for a general to be hailed with shouts of “Imperator!” after a notable battlefield victory, but Augustus took on this originally spontaneous acclamation as a permanent part of his formal name. It is from the Latin term imperator that the modern English words “emperor” and “empire” are derived…When we speak of Roman emperors, we are picking one of their many titles and using it as a shorthand for all of them… [Emphasis added]
Augustus also had bestowed upon himself the title Pater Patriae, meaning “Father of the Country…”seems like a warm and fuzzy acknowledgment that he cared deeply about his metaphorical children…However, in Roman culture, the father was a figure of enormous authority and dignity who wielded absolute power over the members of his family—even to kill them…
Augustus absorbed the title of Pontifex Maximus as it was the ultimate ruling title, indicating both religious and political power over ancient Rome…
Subsequent emperors would follow his lead and call themselves by the same constellation of terms.
Augustus actively prepared his adopted son Tiberiusto be his successor…Once in power, Tiberius took considerable pains to [like his predecessor] observe the forms and day-to-day substance of republican government. [Emphasis added.]
Rome had no single constitutional office, title or rank exactly equivalent to the English title “Roman emperor”. Romans of the Imperial era used several titles to denote their emperors, and all were associated with the pre-Imperial, Republican era. [emphasis added here and below in this quote.]
The legal authority of the emperor derived from an extraordinary concentration of individual powers and offices that were extant in the Republic rather than from a new political office; emperors were regularly elected [emphasis added] to the offices of consul and censor. Among their permanent privileges were the traditional Republican title of princeps senatus (leader of the Senate) and the religious office of pontifex maximus (chief priest of the College of Pontiffs)…until Gratian surrendered it in AD 382 to Pope Siricius…
the basis of an emperor’s powers derived from his auctoritas..He had the right to enact or revoke sentences of capital punishment…could save any plebeian from any patrician magistrate’s decision. He could veto any act…
The titles customarily associated with the imperial dignity are imperator (“commander”), which emphasizes the emperor’s military supremacy and is the source of the English word emperor…In Greek… rendered asautokratōr…Caesar…a [family] name [bestowed upon]…the [adopted or] designated heir…and was retained upon accession…In Greek…kaisar (“Καίσαρ“).
At the least, what this account should impress upon us is that persons in positions of power who readily collaborate with evil humans for personal gain will collaborate with evil hyper dimensional beings as well.
Quedlinburg seems to have been the focus for this ambition. From 1938 to the arrival of American troops in 1945, the cathedral functioned as a mystical Teutonic sanctuary…
Himmler, it seemed…had held midnight séances in the cathedral crypt designed to put him in contact with the spirit of Heinrich the Fowler, from whom he sought political advice.
I found this revelation chilling. Himmler was not only Reichsführer of the SS but head of the Gestapo — Nazi Germany’s infamous secret police — and the official ultimately responsible for the “Final Solution to the Jewish Problem,” a program of industrialized murder that resulted in some six million deaths. Was it possible that such a man had based his decisions on the whisperings of a spirit?
The Third Reich had the most technologically advanced and innovative weapons industries in World War 2…Nazi scientists pioneered rocket and jet-propelled aircraft, the pilotless plane, long-range rocket technology, “robot bombs”…
the Nazi Party and Adolf Hitler himself were very interested in ancient mythology and occultism…The activities…included rituals, the evocation of ancient divinities, and a search for the “Black Sun”, a source of immeasurable energy that would give Germany enormous power.
Adolf Hitler inspecting the largest ever calibre rifled weapon. (The Heavy Gustav)
Rudolf Hess, Hitler’s right-hand man at the start of the war was a member of Thule. The members of the Vril society were another secret organisation closely associated with Nazi ideology…
“They saw themselves as godlike super-being.”
From nerve and disease agents to the feared and coveted V-1 and V-2 rockets, Nazi scientists worked on an impressive arsenal. As the war came to a close in 1945, both American and Russian officials began scheming to get that technology for themselves… 88 Nazi scientists arrived in the United States and were promptly put to work for Uncle Sam.
In the days and weeks after Germany’s surrender, American troops combed the European countryside in search of hidden caches of weaponry to collect. They came across facets of the Nazi war machine that the top brass were shocked to see…That is really where Paperclip began, which was suddenly the Pentagon realizing, ‘Wait a minute, we need these weapons for ourselves.’”
The abomination of desolation is commonly conceived of as a statue, no doubt because it is reported to be “set up” by Daniel and “stand” by YHVH’s Savior. This grammatical interpretation is to be expected when knowledge of abstract spirituality is lost to society.
The more comprehensive meaning is “To raise in authority or power; invest with power: They set the general up as a dictator.”
“O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.” (Daniel 5:18-19)
The abomination that causes such desolation that the world as we know it comes to an end is a hybrid being, a mingling of angelic / alien and human DNA. The offspring of the dragon, he inherits his tendency towards violence. See the post Seed of the Serpent for background.
And the king shall…exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods…in his estate shall he honour the God of forces…a god whom his fathers knew not…in the most strong holds with a strange god…and he shall cause THEM to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain…And at that time…there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time.” (Daniel 2, 11)
These passages make it crystal clear that God’s people are not airlifted out of the war zone until the last trumpet sounds, at which point in time we are instantly transformed into hyper dimensional beings who join our Leader in battle.
In the meantime, we are here on earth.
The huge problem with American Christianity is the lack of willingness to fight and suffer for what is right, the conviction that heaven begins with earthly prosperity and superiority, and the cowardly conviction that believers escape the earth at the first sign of trouble rather than remaining to rescue so much as their own loved ones. There is no historical precedent of this whatsoever in the entire Bible. God’s people don’t retreat. We face the enemy, fearlessly!
We just save everyone we can…It’s about hope…my favorite show when I was a kid was Dr. Who…the old one…the doctor didn’t have super powers, or weapons, or anything like that…he always just tried to do the right thing, no matter what. That struck me when I was a kid. That no matter how cold and callous the world seemed, there was somebody who just wanted to make life better. Not better for worlds, or countries in some vague way, just better for people trying to live their lives…I want to give them hope.
Quoting George Bailey, in EXHeroes by Peter Clines, a novel realistically describing the lives of the few survivors of a pos-apocalyptic world. Christians putting their hope in escaping from death instead of sharing their hope of eternal life with people dying all around them should be be put to shame by fiction writers modeling their heroes after Nietzsche’s Superman.
