The best way to know any personality in literature is to start at his introduction and proceed through the story as his actions reveal his character.
As one of the hyper dimensional beings described in the post Sons of God, we can deduce that the Son of the Morning comes into being during the morning of Day 1″ when God created the heaven and the earth. He functioned for some time as a true son in unity with the objectives of the Creator.
“O Lucifer / Bringer of light, son of the morning…
What morning is that? Why else but when the Singularity first expressed itself in the light spectrum? And not just the yellow sun we see through the earth’s atmosphere, but light refracted into all colors.
Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty…every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold.” (Isaiah 14:12; Ezekiel 28:12-14)
Compare Lucifer’s appearance to that of God himself
“…behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.” (Revelation 4:2-3)
This is not a contradiction. The reference to “like an emerald” is not to this gem’s color property, but to its refraction.
Emeralds exhibit double refraction, meaning they refract light in two different patterns. This often causes the Emerald to exhibit two different distinct color patterns.
Could this be a reflection of the unified Father and the Son together on the throne?
Back to Lucifer. He was flying high. He was as close to the image of God as any created being could be.
Then he heard about God’s plan to create a race of adams, sons of God made with bodies of clay, i.e. “mud people“, in order to create a family and heirs, giving humans dominion and power and glory while keeping the likes of him mere servants.
“God…Hath in these last days spoken unto [energized into being] us by his Son…the express [not “fast”, but exact, deliberate, intentional] image of his person…Being made so much better than the angels…
- For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?
- And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
- And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand:” (Hebrews 1)
“as the LORD commanded Moses...he made the [Hebrew High Priest, vicar of YHVH’s] breastplate of…a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle…an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond…a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst…a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper:” (Exodus 39:7-14)
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem…there came unto me one of the seven angels…saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife….Having the glory of God…garnished with all manner of precious stones…jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emerald, sardonyx, sardius, chrysolyte, beryl, topaz, chrysoprasus, jacinth, amethyst, pearls.” (Revelation 21:2-24)
Lucifer chose to rebel rather than remain in service to God.
“Thus saith the LORD God…Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God…Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth [guards]; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created…till iniquity was found in thee…Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty [pride].” (Ezekiel 28:12-15)
The terrible downfall that comes from self-exaltation, AKA pride, is a foundational biblical doctrine that applies to all created beings. Lucifer is just the prototype and the “king over all the children of pride.” (Job 31:34)
“But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:” (Daniel 5:20)
“Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.” (I Timothy 3:6)
Lucifer’s “opposite reaction to God’s action” is described by the first night of Creation with the destruction of the Earth and the imposition of darkness. While not explicitly stated in Genesis, it is understood because “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (I John 1:5)
The Enuma Elish explicitly describes a state of conflict during Creation, focusing its attention on one son right from the start. This individual is recognizable by his parallel attributes of the Hebrew lead angel Lucifer.
He, Nudimmud, was superior to his forefathers…
He had no rival among the gods his peers.
Nudimmud means “Begetter of mankind” in Sumerian. This is a reflection of his rivalry with, specifically “Eve; because she was the mother of all living” (Genesis 3:20). Nudimmud is also worshipped as giver of life and the ruler of the underworld abode of deceased mortal humans, as the god of wisdom, intelligence, trickery, mischief, magic, exorcism, virility, fertility, and many other desired traits. We can deduce from these conflicting traits that his worshippers are hoping to gain life after death, and the powers of trickery, magic, exorcism, etc. with enough payments in goods and services.
Like going into business with the mob or a drug cartel, or gambling at a casino. The house always wins.
The Adversary’s only goal is to destroy his rivals. Whether in the role of an ancient god who brings fertility, recovery from sickness, and a quality of life after death, or an alien astronaut who rescues his human followers from a zombie apocalypse or ecological collapse or world war, he represents himself as the true benefactor of mankind, the source of power and means to overcome human limitations.
His strategy is documented in Gnosticism, which became foundational to all ancient religions.
- Only those who learn his occult knowledge can achieve godhood empowerment over human limitations,
- through discovery of mysteries hidden to ordinary humans,
- by joining mystery cults in which the secrets are incrementally revealed over time as the initiate performs deeds advantageous to the cult proving himself worthy of the sacred knowledge.
This is the antithesis of the Bible’s teaching that
- everyone can achieve godhood
- through acceptance of provable truth freely manifested to all through God’s creation in the world and written word
- by an act of grace from a loving God.
Nudimmud is more commonly known in succeeding Mesopotamian languages as Ea or En-ki, a title meaning “Lord of the Earth”.
The god Ea (whose Sumerian equivalent was Enki) is one of the three most powerful gods in the Mesopotamian pantheon, along with Any [Ani / YHVH and Enlil [Adam]. Sumerian texts about Enki often include overtly sexual portrayals of his virile masculinity [referencing his role as progenitor]…Ea has associations with wisdom, magic and incantations [calling into existence]…he is the ultimate source of all ritual knowledge used by exorcists to avert and expel evil [if he has authority over evil we must deduce that he called it into being]. Ea was patron of the arts and crafts, and all other achievements of civilization.
“Enki…Nudimmud, the mighty one…the strong one of the Anunna[ki]…[angels, gods], Enki, lord of the hegal [demigods, hybrid angel-human giants], lord of wisdom, lord, beloved of An, ornament of Eridu [possibly the oldest city in the world, founded by Cain], who directs commands and decisions, expert at fate-decreeing…You bring down the stars of heaven...Enki, king of the Abzu, celebrates his own magnificence – as is his right.”
Like the Rosetta Stone, we can match the Sumerian Enki / Ea who is full of pride and brings down the stars of heaven with the biblical Lucifer who does the same.
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations [these can include family groups of immortals with common descent as much as mortals]! For thou hast said in thine heart,
- I [not humanity] will ascend into heaven,
- I [not humanity] will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
- I [not humanity] will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
- I [not humanity] will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
- I [not humanity] will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. ” (Isaiah 14:12-15)
And the Adversary is, in reality god of this world for the many humans who grant him their birthright.
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey?” (Romans 6:16)
“the devil…shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power…and the glory of them…is delivered unto me.” (Mark 4:5-7)
“The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ / The Chosen Son, who is the image of God [rather than Lucifer], should shine unto them.” (II Corinthians 4:4)
The Enuma Elish expounds on this mighty spirit being’s plot to overthrow the Almighty, casting the created being Nudimmud in the role of victor over the Creator. Does that even make sense? Certainly not from the perspective of the finite spin-off versus the infinite Singularity.
The divine / spirit brothers / united under the same father/leader banded together [in mutiny], They disturbed…they rushed here and there…
Apsu / Creator could not diminish their clamor…Their doings were loathsome to him. Offensive and overbearing were their ways. Then Apsu, the begetter of great gods, Cried out, addressing Mummu, his vizier[prime minister who speaks for him, Logos / Word of God]
“0 Mummu, my vizier, who rejoices my spirit, Come hither…”
“Their ways are truly abominable unto me…I will destroy, I will wreck their ways… Let us have rest!”…answered Mummu [in perfect accord with his leader]…”Destroy, my father, their rebellious ways…
We can recognize these descriptions of attributes all correlate to the biblical God as Father, Holy Spirit and Son – Singularity in diversity.
- Apsu as begetter of the first generation gods commonly known in our time as angels,
- his spirit,
- and his son Mummu, the minister / executor doing the hands-on work to accomplish the wishes / word of Apse
As detailed in a previous post, Anu is the Sumerian equivalent to the biblical Ani / YHVH, but the designation of the primordial Apsu as the Singularity / Creator is also a parallel to YHVH. The Sumerian account is neither internally reliable nor externally fully validated, most of all in its account of creation which it deliberately twists to honor its rebel gods.
Enki’s / Lucifer’s rivalry with Enlil / ha Adam / Human is detailed in the ancient account by Job.
“Eliphaz the Temanite answered [Job]…a thing was secretly brought to me…In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men, Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake. Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up: It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying, Shall mortal man be more just [knowing and acting on what is right] than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly: How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust…Doth not their excellency which is in them go away?…they die…” (Job 4:19-21)
If you’ve ever experienced verbal abuse you should recognize this for what it is. Job’s adversary is verbally abusing Job’s human friend to control him and Job through him, by making him feel that all humans are inadequate, stupid, and worthless “mud people.”
However, as with all verbal abuse, the truth is that the bully is the one who feels inadequate to his/her victim. When we keep the concept of The Singularity in mind as the foundation of all that is, we can immediately recognize the superiority of humans in union with mass as well as spirit over purely spirit beings.
We can get a sense of Lucifer’s super-miffed reaction from the biblical history of what happened when King David elevated Solomon, born not from a princess but a low-born woman of a trashed reputation, as his heir over his older, more experienced and highly politically connected brothers. Adoni-jah revolted, along with his supporters who imagined themselves being raised to higher levels of power in the new administration.
Lucifer’s pride was his undoing. He couldn’t accept God’s decision to promote frail, imperfect humans above the mighty stars. Rule creation? Seriously? He revolted against this idea.
“How then can man be justified with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? Behold…the stars [angels] are not pure in his sight. How much less man, that is a worm [come from the dirt]?” (Job 25:4-6)
The biblical account explains this conundrum, providing common-place, real-life examples, simple to understand, of how the God of the Bible relates to human beings.
God is in charge – not his offspring.
“Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst,
- I have laid help upon one that is mighty;
- I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
- I have found David my servant…
- I anointed him…
- I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.” (Psalm 89:19-27)
The key quality demonstrated by every individual God chooses to be his son is not perfection, but acknowledgement of imperfection and the need to stay connected to, and identified with, the source of life and power.
“his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue / power: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption / degeneration that is in the world through lust / wasted energy.” (II Peter 1:2-4)
Although people who don’t know better still refer to the Adversary as Lucifer, the attribute of Light-Bearer can no longer apply to him. We can, however, track him down by his Adversarial attributes.
The most ancient visual records in existence, some dated prior to the flood, are the Sumerian inscribed objects. These predate the oldest extant (still in existence) biblical documents, and give evidence of the pervasive paganism embraced by humankind since earliest history.
Ningishzida is a Mesopotamian deity of the underworld. His name in Sumerian is translated as “lord of the good tree” by Thorkild Jacobsen. In Sumerian mythology, he appears in Adapa’s myth as one of the two guardians of Anu’s celestial palace…He was sometimes depicted as a serpent with a human head…Following an inscription found at Lagash, he was the son of Anu, the heavens…He was one of the ancestors of Gilgamesh. Ningishzida is the earliest known symbol of snakes twining around an axial rod. It predates the Caduceus of Hermes, the Rod of Asclepius and the staff of Moses by more than a millennium.
Ningishzida / Lord of the Good Tree matches the biblical reference to Lucifer being in “Eden, the garden of God” where “the LORD God planted a garden…the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.” (Genesis 2:8-9)
The representation of Ningishzida is a bit confusing in that there are two elements portraying the same individual, perhaps reflecting what he once was, and what he became.
Ningishzida apparently once was one of the two guardians of the King of the Gods, portrayed in this image as “the anointed cherub that covereth” with the same composite features described in the Bible of ox, man, lion, and eagle. (Ezekiel 1, Ezekiel 10) On the side, the “four faces” described by Ezekiel are likely an unavoidably inadequate and inaccurate portrayal of a multi-dimensional being, and the Sumerian two-dimensional portrait is taking artistic license with an impossible task.
“…he made two cherubims of gold…One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side…And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another…” (Exodus 37:7-9)
Ningishzida also identified himself as having become the main player flanked by the bodyguards. Overthrow of a ruler by a coup led by one of his own high ranking military leaders is a common threat in any government. This is transparently none other than Lucifer.
“O LORD of hosts / armies…that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone…”(Isaiah 37:16)
True to form, the path this serpentine being takes through the story is a crooked and often hidden one. We have to piece it together like a homicide investigator. The next biblical account of this fallen angel is found in Job’s account of creation week, an expanded version of the summary in Genesis. We can connect Lucifer with the description of the serpent through the shared attribute of pride, and then to Leviathan and the dragon.
“Leviathan [Sea monster]…Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.” (Job 41:1, 33-34)
The Hebrew word for serpent is nachash (where ch is pronounced “k” as in school). We could translate this word as reptile since, at his beginning, he did have legs. This is also evidenced by referring to him, in both Sumerian and Hebrew documents, as the dragon.
“Leviathan…that crooked serpent…the dragon that is in the sea.” (Isaiah 27:1)
This prototype fire-breathing dragon in the sea of outer space is so important that he warrants an entire chapter in the Bible describing his powerful attributes.
“Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn? Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee? Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever? Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears? Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me? Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine. I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle? Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered. By his [s]neesings [snortings] a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.
In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved. His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone. When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves. The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon [chain mail].
“He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble. Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear…Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.” (Job 41)
The pre-flood Sumerian account of their serpent-dragon called Kur attests to Job’s account of nachash at creation.
In the Enuma Elish in Akkadian tablets from the first millennium BC, Kur is part of the retinue of Tiamat, and seems to be a snakelike dragon. In one story the slaying of the great serpent Kur results in the flooding of the earth.
This vague account doesn’t say much, but does provide parallels to the biblical account of of Lucifer / leviathan / dragon involved in bringing chaos / Tiamat through a flood onto the initial creation as described in the biblical account of creation day one followed by the works of darkness.
The Serpentine reptile who tangled with the Adams lost his legs as a result of his first homicidal action against God’s beloved children.
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the wo-man, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?…lest ye die…Ye shalt not surely die…
the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed…above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go:” (Genesis 3:1, 14)
Continuing our quest for this reptilian shape-shifter, we find that “serpent” is also translated from another Hebrew word – seraph. We usually encounter the plural form “seraphim” where “im” ending serves the same pluralizing function in Hebrew as “s” in English. There is a clear connection between the two as the two Hebrew words are freely interchanged and translated into the same word serpent in the following passage.
“And the people spake against God, and against Moses…And the LORD sent fiery serpents / seraphim nachashim among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery-serpent / seraph, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent / nachash of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent / nachash had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent / nachash of brass, he lived.” (Numbers 21:5-9)
“…the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery-serpents / seraphim…(Deuteronomy 8:14-15)
The verb form means “burning”. The adjective “fiery” can mean “brilliantly shining” as captured in the image of polished brass. In another sense this characterizes the power that these beings have over life and death with the use of fire, as with cauterizing a festering wound or inflicting a toxin-induced burning pain or microorganism-induced fever or utter destruction.
“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.” (Isaiah 6:1-6)
Images of ancient Mesopotamian gods bear a striking resemblance to the biblical description of the seraphim, This would be because they were among the fallen angels.
We know that Lucifer fell from the position of an angelic caste called the cherubim.
“Thus saith the LORD God…Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so…I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God…thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness…” (Ezekiel 28:12-17)
The designations of “anointed” and “set” inform us that cherub is a position, not a species. We logically conclude, then, that the looks of cherubim or seraphim described in the Bible are not necessarily intrinsic to all beings in that class, specifically to our study, to Lucifer.
However, Lucifer’s appearance as nachash is so consistent as to give us a means of identification.
The reality of Lucifer as a hyper-dimensional reptilian being that has been involved with humanity from the beginning of history is supported by the fact that he continues to be worshipped in our own culture in new age religions as:
…Serpent Seraph, Winged Serpent, Dragon, Nachash…alter-Form of HERU’s Second Person. He is the Creator and Maintainer of all worlds and beings. He is the Lord of all time [therefore death, you must realize, Beelzebub], WHO ALONE REMAINS (SESHA) AFTER THE ANNIHILATION OF ANY MATERIAL UNIVERSE! [Emphases in the original.]
It would appear that there really is a species of reptilian aliens whose leader will reveal himself to the world.
“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy [claiming to be God”. And…the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority…and all the world…worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who…is able to make war with him?…And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them…And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13)
Since earliest recorded history the Mesopotamian anthropomorphized version of the Adversary, Enki / Lord of the Earth, was portrayed with “rivers of fresh water flowing from his shoulders”, or more probably, standing between the key rivers Euphrates and Tigris. However it is interpreted, this water represents his claimed aspect of life-giver.
Note also how he stands with one foot on the sea and one on earth – the stance of victory.
“Then cometh the end, when he shall have…down all rule and all authority and power….put all enemies under his feet.” (I Corinthians 15:24-25)
Ahh, but that verse applies to God’s Chosen son who the Adversary can only mimic. That piece about making war with the saints, and overcoming them whose names are written in the book of life of the Lamb…well, we need to read the entire piece.
“Then cometh the end, when he / the Chosen Son shall have delivered up the kingdom to the Singularity / God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” (I Corinthians 15:24-26)
Those in the know realize that death is not the end of life, it is a glorious transformation to super powers! We don’t fear death when we know how human history ends.
“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and HIS right foot upon the sea, and HIS left foot on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices [in challenge]. And…I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. [Because they are not happening! The Adversary thunders “I will!” and God shuts him up and overrules him with “No, I will!”]
And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer [ergo, according to quantum physics, no more four dimensional universe and according to the Bible no more death]: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound [the call to war], the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” (Revelation 10)
And what is that mystery?
“unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. But…man…Thou… didst set him over the works of thy hands…Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he [God himself] also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Hebrews 2:5-15)
The only consideration left is – whose side will you be on in that War of the Worlds?
“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts…But unto you that fear my name / attributes shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Malachi 4:1-2)
The essential message of the Bible is the imperative for humans to choose a protector and benefactor in the rivalry between
- God’s promised hybrid God-human Son who remains utterly dependent for all power on his Singularity Father
- and a high powered, but self-limited hyper-dimensional Adversary who, because disconnected from the infinite Singularity, must exploit humans as an ongoing source of energy.
When you put it that way, the choice seems obvious, doesn’t it?
