32) A New World Order

Noah 1056 AM – 2006 AM in later years contemporary with Abraham and Lot

An apocalypse – actual, threatened or contrived – creates a State of Fear positioning a peace-proclaiming politician to lead frantic humanity into a New World Order. Most people are so dazed and confused that they blindly follow the leader who

  1. promises to restore the pre-apocalypse civilization – which assumes a state of perfection in an imperfect memory,
  2. provides fast answers about the cause of the catastrophe – an enemy, not the society,
  3. provides a quick solution to the problem – destroy the enemy,

The people willingly give up their freedoms and re-form themselves from a republican democracy into a brutal tyranny.

This is the standard setup for all nations modeled after the Roman republic.

The founders of the Roman Republic, like the American founding fathers, placed checks and balances on the power of their leaders. The Romans, however, came up with a way to sidestep these checks and balances when strong leadership was needed, such as a time of crisis. The Senate could vote to grant absolute power to one man, called a dictator, for a temporary period…the dictatorship was limited to six months or even less if the crisis passed. If a dictator refused to step down, he could be forcibly removed.

The Roman dictator’s power was absolute. He could rule by decree. He could even order executions without a trial. For centuries, Roman dictators served when duty called and gave up power when their terms ended.

The Dictatorship of Julius Caesar

By 53 B.C., factions in the Senate had paralyzed the Roman government. The annual consul [senator] election degenerated into a contest of who could bribe the most voters. Street riots erupted. In a desperate move to restore order, the assembly elected General Gnaeus Pompey to serve as sole consul for a year. Informally, Pompey shared power with two other powerful generals—Julius Caesar and Marcus Crassus. Crassus was the general who had defeated Spartacus. And Caesar was the governor and military conqueror of Gaul. [Europe, whose indigenous tribes, like the American Indians, threatened Italy’s northern border and prevented safe expansion of Rome’s territory. Exactly like George Washington rising to power by fighting the Indians.] This military committee became known as the First Triumvirate.

In 49 B.C.E., Caesar did mass his legions at the border between Gaul and Italy. Foes of Caesar spread the word that Caesar was about to invade Italy with his army….

The Senate demanded that Caesar give up his provincial command. Caesar answered by leading his army across the Rubicon River into Italy. This “crossing of the Rubicon” was an act of war, since a Roman general was forbidden to lead an army outside the province he governed. [Again, think George Washington rebelling against the British government.] Pompey and most of the senators fled the country…

By 45 B.C., Caesar had defeated all the troops loyal to Pompey. The Senate acclaimed him “Liberator” [from the war HE created!] and made him dictator for 10 years… in February 44 B.C., Caesar was made dictator for life…he was assassinatedonly a few days later.

Caesar’s death plunged Rome into 17 years of civil war. The warfare finally ended when Octavian, Caesar’s [nephew and] adopted son, became the sole ruler of the Roman Empire. Although the forms of the Republic such as the Senate and the election of the consuls continued, the emperor held all power. Democracy in Rome was dead and dictatorship had won.

The Caesars’ rise to power is the modus operandi for all successive dictators hungry for more power but limited by the restrictions of a monarchical or democratic form of government.

Our Western culture prides itself on the Re-naissance, the Re-birth, of revered Roman civilization after a millennium of the loss of Roman government resulted in constant war with barbarians, famine, plagues and death during the Dark Ages.

In Florence [the heart of the Renaissance] the sublime and terrible go hand in hand...The Piazza della Signoria, the main square, contains an open-air display of Roman and Renaissance sculpture exhibiting some of the most famous statues in Florence. It is a gallery of horrors, a public exhibition of killing, rape, and mutilation unmatched in any city in the world. Heading the show is the famous bronze sculpture by Cellini of Perseus [demigod son of Zeus] triumphantly holding up the severed head of Medusa like a jihadist on a website video, blood pouring from her neck, her decapitated body sprawled under his feet. Behind Perseus stand other statues depicting famous legendary scenes of murder, violence, and mayhem…Inside Florence’s encircling walls and on the gibbets outside were committed the most refined and the most savage of crimes…For centuries, Florence projected its power over the rest of Tuscany at the cost of ferocious massacres and bloody wars.

...As the fifteenth century dawned, Florence hosted one of those inexplicable flowerings of genius that have occurred…It would later be called the Renaissance, the “rebirth”, following the long darkness of the Middle Ages.

Between the birth of Masaccio in 1401 and the death of Galileo in 1642, Florentines largely invented the modern world. They revolutionized art, architecture, music, astronomy, mathematics, and navigation. They created the modern banking system with the invention of the letter of credit…More than that, Florence invented the very idea of the modern world. With the Renaissance, Florentines threw off the yoke of medievalism, in which God stood at the center of the universe and human existence on earth was but a dark, fleeting passage to the glorious life to come. The Renaissance placed humanity at the center of the universe and declared this life as the main event. The course of Western civilization was changed forever.

The Florentine Renaissance was largely financed by a single family, the Medicis

A Dominican monk by the name of Savonarola…began to preach fire and brimstone, railing against the decadence of the Renaissance…

His message resonated among common Florentines, who had watched with disapproval the conspicuous consumption and great wealth of the Renaissance and its patrons…Their discontent was magnified by an epidemic of syphilis, carried back from the New World, which burned through the city. It was a disease Europe had never seen before, and it came in a far more virulent form than we know today, in which the victim’s body became overspread with weeping pustules, the flash sagging and falling from the face, the stricken sinking into fulminating insanity before death mercifully carried them off…In this climate Savonarola found a receptive audience…

[But] Under Savanorola’s rule, Florence sank into economic decline…the young and shiftless began openly defying his edicts. In 1497, a mob of young men rioted during one of Savonarola’s sermons; the riots spread and became a general revolt taverns reopened, gambling resumed, and dancing and music could once again be heard echoing down Florence’s crooked streets.

Savonarola…made the fatal mistake of turning his criticisms on the church itself. The pope excommunicated him and ordered him arrested and executed. An obliging mob…dragged him out. He was charged with a slew of crimes, among them “religious error.” After being tortured on the rack for several weeks, he was hung in chains from a cross in the Piazza della Signoria…and burned [slowly roasted].

The Renaissance resumed.

The 20th century was primarily a series of wars in the Austro-Hungarian, Ottoman, British, German, Russian, Chinese, and now American, empires. All of them were grounded in the ideology of the template modern revolution – the atheist, humanistic French Revolution, of which it was astutely predicted: “From this place, and from this day forth begins a new era in the history of the world. (Goethe to the defeated German soldiers after the Battle of Valmy.)

Deceptively, America’s “New” World Order is just a re-serving of the oldest, including more war.

So while we have limited biblical or historical information about the days of Noah prior to the flood, we do have quite a bit of historical information about the earliest civilizations established in the days of Noah after the flood. By extrapolating backwards we can learn a lot about the pre-flood civilization from its re-appearance in the post-flood world.

Even after millennia of rise and fall and rebuilding on the rubble of a series of fallen civilizations there is a remarkable pattern in “the rise of“ each recurrence. There is a consistency in the elements of civilization, supporting the concept that they are all led by the same mastermind intent on the same goal – the destruction of a free humanity.

And the first thing we find after the flood is that, despite the proof of God’s overriding control via the flood, there is a sharp contrast between Noah’s earth-focused preaching and ungodly men’s heaven-focused activities.

And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” (Gen 9:1)

“And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there…And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” (Gen 11:1-4)

Anyone who read the post Sin City should be able to recognize that “they” are the elite intent on recreating the antediluvian urban culture, enslaving laborers and exterminating useless eaters” in order to amass riches and power to the few at the top of the food chain.

The Tower

“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there…And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:1-4)

And all the princes of Nimrod and his great men took counsel together; Phut, Mitzraim, Cush and Canaan with their families, [the Hamites] and they said to each other, Come let us build ourselves a city [power base] and in it a strong tower [think launch pad], and its top [think capsule] reaching heaven [think rocket propelled], and we will make ourselves famed, so that we may reign upon the whole world, in order that the evil of our enemies may cease from us [think the Reagan administration’s Strategic Defense Initiative], that we may reign mightily over them, [the Shemites and Japhethites] and that we may not become scattered over the earth [where “we” defines “our people” who are fleeing to the wilderness to escape religious persecution and tyranny in general] on account of their wars [resisting tyranny] (Jasher 9)

As you read the following account, keep in mind that words will have different meanings for different cultures depending on their experience. When a native on a remote island in the South Pacific who never had encountered technology saw a warplane flying in the distance, he didn’t tell his fellow villagers that he saw “a flying machine”, he called it “a giant bird.” Likewise, a “baked brick” is only assumed to be made of mud hardened in a fire-stoked kiln by people who know of no higher technology. In our day, we do, and can expand our awareness of what this text might be reporting.

And they all went before the king, and they told the king these words, and the king agreed with them in this affair, and he did so. And all the families assembled consisting of about six hundred thousand men, and they went to seek an extensive piece of ground to build the city and the towers, and they sought in the whole earth and they found none like one valley at the east of the land of Shinar, about two days’ walk, and they journeyed there and they dwelt there. And they began to make bricks and burn fires[possibly a reference to forging metal, the knowledge of which was carried through the floodto build the city and the tower that they had imagined to complete. And the building of the tower was unto them a transgression and a sin, and they began to build it, and whilst they were building against the Lord God of heaven, they imagined in their hearts to war against him and to ascend into heaven. And all these people and all the families divided themselves in three parts; the first said We will ascend into heaven and fight against him; the second said, We will ascend to heaven and place our own gods there [clearly these are the ones who had been thrown out] and serve them; and the third part said, We will ascend to heaven and smite him with bows and spears…(Jasher 9)

“And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language…” (Gen 11:5-6)

The European Union openly declares its intention of finishing what was started at the Tower of Babel, incorporating this concept into the design of one of its buildings. The United Nations has an Office for Outer Space Affairs.

Is it possible for a united world community to destroy all creation, as desired by Lucifer and warned by eminent scientists?

According to the Bible, yes.

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” (Gen 11:6)

If the record of humans attempting to “reach unto heaven” seems an amusing example of how ignorant “pre-scientific” savages viewed their world, understand that the earliest post-flood group of people had the same technological and astronomical knowledge available to them as the pre-flood people who constructed amazingly precise astronomically oriented structures like the Giza Pyramid and Stonehenge.

The study of prehistory has taken on a startling new direction. Far removed from barbarians or savages, a civilisation earlier than the Sumerian…devoted huge efforts to the construction of massive stone monuments based on astronomical principles.

When most of the academics trained in the study of the ancient world look at pyramids on different continents, they see proof of humankind’s division into distinct, separate civilizations. We see something quite the opposite: compelling evidence of the underlying unity of civilization.

At its most extreme, the orthodox viewpoint goes something like this. Civilization dates to no earlier than the middle fourth millennium B.C. It began in Mesopotamia, then spread to Egypt, and subsequently throughout the Old World. Other civilizations arose on their own – and much later – in the Americas, where they remained disconnected from Asia and Africa until Columbus piloted his three small ships across the Atlantic. The Old World and the New World each invented civilization independently.

I (Schoch) first came to understand there was something wrong with this view while investigating the origins of the Great Sphinx of Giza. As a geologist, I knew that the weathering patterns of the Giza plateau indicated that the Sphinx was carved in stages…the earliest part most likely predates 5000 B.C.

That finding raised a significant question. Even a first-draft Sphinx could only have been built by a sophisticated people, one that had achieved civilization well before the 3500 B.C. date when civilization supposedly arose. Who were these unknown people? And what happened to them?…

The firestorm of academic controversy ignited by my research on the Sphinx led to our earlier book, Voices of the Rocks (Harmony, 1999). We argued that civilization arose earlier than generally believed, but much of the early history of humankind has been lost to natural catastrophes.

As much as they symbolize the mystery and magic of ancient Egypt, pyramids are not uniquely Egyptian. Pyramids of various sorts also appear in the ancient African kingdom of Kush, along the Nile between the third and fourth cataracts; as ziggurats in ancient Mesopotamia and Sumeria (the likely source of the biblical account of the Tower of Babel); in England and Ireland, taking such forms as Silbury Hill and Newgrange; in India and throughout Southeast Asia, in the distinct style of the Buddhist stupa; at Angkor Wat in medieval Cambodia; at Indonesia’s Borobudur; in ancient China; at Teotihuacán, Tenayuca, Tenochtitlán, and other sites in the Valley of Mexico; in the ancient Olmec and Mayan realms of southern Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, and El Salvador; along the Mississippi, at Cahokia and other ceremonial centers; and in Peru’s coastal region, among the people who were the ancestors of the Inca empire, and in that country’s northern Andes, the Inca heartland…

Could it be that pyramids around the globe share a common cultural heritage?

These questions are the focus of our most recent book, Voyages of the Pyramid Builders: The True Origins of the Pyramids from Lost Egypt to Ancient America (Tarcher/Putnam, 2003). In it we trace the many pyramid-building cultures back to what may be their ultimate source: Sundaland, a continent-sized stretch of land in Southeast Asia (located under the current southern reach of the South China Sea) that was inundated by rising sea levels after the end of the last ice age, a catastrophic event that may have been connected to cometary activity in the skies observed by the inhabitants of Sundaland.

Such ideas remain unpopular, in part because they smack of extreme “diffusionism” (a dirty word to many scholars) and undercut the Old World-New World division on which much of the academic orthodoxy is based…

Joseph Campbell, that ever-astute student of mythology, argued that under the world’s many, apparently different mythologies lay an ancient core of common archetypal story, one joining us all. Pyramids carry the same message: All humankind shares a common history, one in which civilization began in a single place and spread across the globe.

The largest pyramid on the surface of the planet is located in Central America, in present-day Mexico. Called the Great Pyramid of Cholula, this supermassive structure is not only the largest pyramid on the surface of the planet but also the largest monument ever built anywhere on Earth.

Monks Mound at Cahokia. Thousands of years ago, this pyramidal structure was one of the main buildings in the city. Image Credit: Wikimedia Commons / CC BY-SA 3.0.

The best example of such architecture is located in present-day Illinois where a monument known as the Monks Mounds stands proud and tall.

Completed around 1100 AD, the Monks Mound Pyramid has a base that is much larger than that of the Great Pyramid at Giza. although perhaps not as elaborate in terms of precision and design, Monks Mound is a structure worthy of praise.

Although Monk’s Mound–seen in the image above–is the largest pyramidal structure in Cahokia, surveys of the site have revealed that the ancient city once boasted as many as 120 similar structures ranging in size.

The settlement of Cahokia was already an influential metropolis and a large settlement of importance in the Mississippian region approximately one thousand years before the Europeans set foot on the American Continent. It is believed that around 1,000 CE the city grew further in importance thanks to trade and manufacturing. However, surveys of the larger are have revealed that people inhabited the area prior to 1,200 BC.

Ancient legends and archeological finds of depictions of flying machines are more likely to be true remembrances of things past than imagination. If Leonardo da Vinci had lived long enough he could have moved beyond research, more likely than not based on antediluvian texts available in his day, to development of these and other war machines.

It only took 300 years for our industrialized European society to get from inventing steam engines to space ships. The ancient Sumerians had as much time, and they had the pre-flood R&D to start with.  They just needed a work force.

As for the “ludicrous” idea that a tower could reach unto heaven, the aptly named Operation Fishbowl certainly appears to have been an attempt to reach, and break through, a hard firmament enclosure within reach of earth’s people, as soon as there was an “arrow” big enough and a “bow” powerful enough to break through it. Think of the launch pad and rocket as a catapult and battering ram, which the ancients had motive, means, and opportunity to use in the resumption of perpetual intercity warfare.

So why don’t we find technological artifacts dating to this period and before? Besides the obvious obliteration of the pre-flood world by massive mud flows and tectonic shifts, the technology of that day was likely even more aesthetically pleasing than our current data wireless system or Tesla’s wireless electricity. And how much technology was shared with the masses? The elite had a single goal and it wasn’t improving the quality of life for the masses, compare the amount of technology currently distributed among the indigenous peoples of Africa, South America, and Australia.

The stated purpose of reaching heaven was to “make a name”. As defined in a previous post, this signifies joining forces with a god, merging identities and resources as in marriage and adoption, supernaturally empowering the human ruler and humanly empowering the alien spirit access to and control over the material world. Surely we recognize the glaringly obvious clues in NASA naming the space exploration vehicles after the ancient gods.

Nimrod built a new “gate of the gods” at his tower of Babel, and thousands of years later Nebuchadnezzar covered his new Ishtar Gate at Babylon with images of the cloned seed of Satan, Marduk, the snake-dragon, the mushussu. This gate/portal was moved to the Pergamum Museum in Berlin during Hitler’s combined occultand rocket development– soaring rise to the heights of power. Given the hyper dimensional quality of spirit beings/aliens, no doubt some kind of  hyper dimensional portal is required for establishing contact with spirits either in the heaven/space or on earth.

Makes you wonder what power this portal holds.

Interesting that America took over both the Pergamum Museum in the Allied- occupied territory of West Berlin and the top Nazi rocket scientists after Germany lost the space race. More on this in a latter post.

One thing we can deduce is that the Ishtar Gate wasn’t a gateway for angels / gods mating with women. Recall from the post Days of Noah that God dealt out the most severe punishment on the angels who engaged in sex with human women to create hybrid monsters for their war against humanity.

  • God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
  • And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
  • And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after / chronologically and in mimicry [the old world] should live ungodly;” (II Peter 2:4-6)

However, after the bodies of the sinful angels were chained in hell, corruption by the spirits of out-of-this-world beings still happened. This was accomplished by substituting human and fabricated bodies as housing for the spirits of the beings separated from their spiritual bodies.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house / body from whence I came out;” (Matthew 12:43-44)

“Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves…Lest ye שָׁחַת corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female…any beast that is on the earth…winged fowl that flieth in the air…thing that creepeth on the ground…fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them...But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people…Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee. For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

When thou…shall שָׁחַת corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger: I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. (Deuteronomy 4:15-26)

The history of God acting on this warning is found in virtually every book in the Bible where God rescues oppressed humans from supernaturally empowered cruel tyrants. Note carefully who, exactly, God goes after.

  • anyone who corrupts himself, which we have learned means makes himself a medium through which an unclean spirit expresses itself,
  • does evil,
  • deliberately provokes / picks a fight with God in the endless war to overturn his plan of giving dominion over the earth to human sons of God.

Understanding the foundational worship of the gods reinforces our interpretation that this passage is not a threat by a jealous God competing against gods for worship. It is a warning against the fiercely jealous hyper dimensional beings whose goal is the destruction of humanity.

In contrast to these penultimate charming psychopath serial killers, “God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:17)

The religious beliefs and practices of the civilizations of ancient Mesopotamia, particularly Sumer, Akkad, Assyria and Babylonia…date to the mid 4th millennium BC and involved…an expansive cast of divinities with particular functions.

This archeological dating coincides with the biblical human timeline beginning ~4,000 BC with Adam, and the fallen angels arriving 500 years later according to Enoch, in  the days of Jared. After the flood, due to the loss of ability to directly engage with mankind, spirits had to rely on human partnership to express themselves. This is reflected in an adapted religious system.

The last stages of Mesopotamian polytheism, which developed in the 2nd and 1st millenniums BCE, introduced greater emphasis on personal religion and structured the gods into a monarchical hierarchy with the national god being the head of the pantheon.

Each Mesopotamian city was home to a deity, [expressed by the human ruler] and…all known temples were located in cities, [which by definition are walled, not only for defense but to corral human herds to service him]…The temple itself was…in the form of a ziggurat, which rose to the sky in a series of stairstep stages… most regard the tower as a kind of staircase or ladder for the god to descend from and ascend to the heavens, [like Jacob’s ladder]…an image of the cosmic mountain where a dying and rising god “lay buried.” Some temples, such as the temple of Enki in Eridu [chief of the five Sumerian cities re-established on their pre-flood foundations] contained a holy tree (kiskanu) in a holy grove, which was the central point of various rites performed by the king, who functioned as a “master gardener.”

The cosmic mountain idea begins in Eden. Yes, Eden is a garden, but it’s also referred to as a mountain in Ezekiel 28…This is why, for instance, the Tabernacle and the Temple are decorated in ways that reminded people (and us) of Eden…Have you ever wondered why there are so many spiritual encounters at trees in the Old Testament? Why tree locations are sacred space?…it was a gateway to the afterlife presence of God.

The esoteric function of these artificial mountain-structures seems to offer humanity a passageway to the Center of the three-fold axis of heaven, earth, and hell beneath. Can they create a spiritual “stargate” where human beings can enter a fourth or multidimensional experience?…the point of communication within the three- fold axis of heaven, earth, and hell creates a center where “a break-through can occur, a passing from one cosmic zone to another…

The God the Father-Son of God dynasty is portrayed in horticultural imagery. The great Davidic dynasty will sprout up from a “tender sprig” planted on Mount Zion.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will take a shoot from the very top of a cedar and plant it; I will break off a tender sprig from its topmost shoots and plant it on a high and lofty mountain. On the mountain heights of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit and become a splendid cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its branches (Ezek.17:22-23)…[Note the pagan duplication of this imagery].

For on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord, there in the land the entire house of Israel will serve me, and there I will accept them…

[Note the complete reversal of Nimrod’s wicked Tower of Babel and scattering of nations.] For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws (Ezek.36:24-27).

Yahweh’s high and lofty cosmic mountain is not only a secure home, it is also a life-changing meeting place where decrees are issued and spiritual empowerment is provided.

Back to Wikipedia’s article:

Mesopotamian temples were originally built to serve as dwelling places for the god… [The Bible supports the reality of this construct.] The god’s presence in the image seems to have been thought of in a very concrete way, as instruments for the presence of the deity. This is evident from the poem How Erra Wrecked the World, in which Erra deceived the god Marduk into leaving his cult statue. Once constructed, idols were consecrated through special nocturnal rituals where they were given “life”, and their mouth “was opened” (pet pî) and washed (mes pî) so they could see and eat. If the deity approved, it would accept the image and agree to “inhabit” it. These images were also entertained…the temple was equipped…with a courtyard with a basin and water for cleansing visitors

Generally, the god’s well-being was maintained through service, or work (dullu). The image was dressed and served banquets twice a day. It is not known how the god was thought to consume the food, but a curtain was drawn before the table while he or she “ate”, just as the king himself was not allowed to be seen by the masses while he ate. Occasionally, the king shared in these meals, and the priests may have had some share in the offerings as well. Incense was also burned before the image, because it was thought that the gods enjoyed the smell. Sacrificial meals were also set out regularly, with a sacrificial animal seen as a replacement (pūhu) or substitute (dinānu) for a man, and it was considered that the anger of the gods or demons was then directed towards the sacrificial animal. Additionally, certain days required extra sacrifices and ceremonies for certain gods, and every day was sacred to a particular god.

The king was thought, in theory, to be the religious leader (enu or šangū) of the cult and exercised a large number of duties within the temple, with a large number of specialists whose task was to mediate between men and gods: [contrast “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all.“ (I Timothy 2:5-6)]

  1. supervising or “watchman” priest (šešgallu),
  2. priests for individual purification against demons and magicians (āšipu),
  3. priests for the purification of the temple (mašmašu),
  4. priests to appease the wrath of the gods with song and music (kalū), as well as
  5. female singers (nāru),
  6. male singers (zammeru),
  7. craftsmen (mārē ummāni),
  8. swordbearers (nāš paṭri),
  9. masters of divination (bārû),
  10. penitents (šā’ilu), and others.[33]

…individuals also paid homage to a personal deity…little is known about early practices. In the mid-third millennium BC, [corresponding to preflood open involvement of gods interacting with humanity] some rulers regarded a particular god as being their personal protector. In the second millennium BC, [corresponding to post-flood need by disincorporated spirits to inhabit a foster body for interaction with humans] gods began to function more on behalf of the common man, with whom he had a close, personal relationship, maintained through prayer and maintenance of his god’s statue. A number of written prayers have survived from ancient Mesopotamia...they showed a people who were scared of their godsone’s place and success in society was thought to depend on his personal deity, including the development of his [the god’s] certain talents and even his [the god’s] personality…everything he experienced was considered a reflection of what was happening to his personal god. [Emphasis added.] When a man neglected his god, it was assumed that the demons were free to inflict him…

There was a strong belief in demons in Mesopotamia…They were thought to be countless in number, and were thought to even attack the gods as well. Besides demons, there were also spirits of the dead, (etimmu) who could also cause mischief…

Divination was employed by private individuals, with the assumption that the gods have already determined the destinies of men and these destinies could be ascertained through observing omens and through rituals…such as observing oil dropped into a cup of water (lecanomancy), observing the entrails of sacrificial animals (extispicy), observation of the behavior of birds (augury) and observing celestial and meteorological phenomena (astrology), as well as through interpretation of dreams. Often interpretation of these phenomena required the need for two classes of priests: askers (sa’ilu) and observer (baru), and also sometimes a lower class of ecstatic seer (mahhu) that was also associated with witchcraft...

ancient paganism tended to focus more on duty and ritual than morality…the gods were believed to be the source of life, and held power over sickness and health, as well as the destinies of men…Man was believed to have been created to serve the gods, or perhaps wait on them: the god is lord (belu) and man is servant or slave (ardu)…

Sin, on the other hand, was expressed by…the idea of rebellion, sometimes with the idea that sin is man’s wishing to “live on his own terms” (ina ramanisu)…

The worship of Inanna/Ishtar, which was prevalent in Mesopotamia could involve wild, frenzied dancing and bloody ritual celebrations of social and physical abnormality. It was believed that “nothing is prohibited to Inanna”, and that by depicting transgressions of normal human social and physical limitations, including traditional gender definition [in sexual activity], one could cross over from the “conscious everyday world into the trance world of spiritual ecstasy / engagement with spirit beings.” [Emphasis added.]

The ancient Mesopotamians believed in an afterlife that was a land below our world…known alternately as Arallû, Ganzer or Irkallu, the latter of which meant “Great Below”… everyone went to after death, irrespective of social status or the actions performed during life…Mesopotamians considered the underworld neither a punishment nor a reward…merely weak and powerless ghosts…The myth of Ishtar’s descent into the underworld relates that “dust is their food and clay their nourishment, they see no light, where they dwell in darkness.” Stories such as the Adapa myth resignedly relate that, due to a blunder, all men must die and that true everlasting life is the sole property of the gods.

Mesopotamian religion finally declined with the spread of Iranian religions [such as Zoroastrianism, “including the idea of a single god, heaven, hell and a day of judgment”] during the Achaemenid Empire [Founded by Cyrus the Great, the LORD’s Anointed] and with the Christianization of Mesopotamia.

Can we see that logical conclusion of someone with this belief system is “So might as well eat, drink and be merry in this life!”? Apply what we’ve discovered about ancient pagan beliefs and practices to the following account, where a great many recent converts to the God YHVH abandon faith in him as soon as they feel abandoned by him as simply one of a million capricious gods, all of whom are unpredictable and untrustworthy.

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before usAnd all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. And he…made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of EgyptAnd they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have שָׁחַת corrupted themselves  [invited evils spirit possession]:” (Exodus 32)

The word צְחַק delicately translated “play” here has a much more baudy meaning than children having fun. There is an unquestionably sexual meaning when Abimelech caught Isaac  צְחַק “sporting” with Rebekah, and Potiphar’s wife was certainly accusing Joseph of sexual assault when she reported that he had come in to צְחַק “mock” her.

The Israelites were not passing time playing games. This should not come as a news flash. It was standard practice in ancient times to include sexual debauchery and drunkenness in pagan practices.

Oh, wait. This is still a common occurrence whenever people get together to party with intoxicants.

For the time past of our life [when we were younger, without adult responsibilities, in college] may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable [mix of human and evil spirit] idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: (I Peter 4:3-4)

This should sound familiar. It’s not just ancient culture.

Dionysia – the Original Greek Carnival –

It’s All About Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll

The Greek Orthodox Church rather try to play down the shenanigans of Greek Carnival, all this bawdiness is not seemly, so, just where did Greek Carnival originate?

As with many Christian celebrations, Saint Valentine’s Day is just one example, Greek Carnival was an ancient pagan celebration. The heathens may have allowed themselves to become Christians, but no way were they about to give up their festivities.

The priests of the day, unable to persuade the newly-converted to forego their jollies, simply changed the name, and dedicated the celebration, to some other Christian occasion…

Also known as Bacchanal, crazy parties with drunken revelry, sexual experimentation, and wild music dedicated to Bacchus, the Roman name for the Greek god of wine Dionysus, were also celebrated in southern Italy…via the Greek colonies…

10bacchBack in the day, Dionysus, with the looks any Greek god would have been proud of [are you recognizing the androgeny?], had his cult of followers, who eagerly awaited this yearly blow out, which is exactly what it was.

The females, “Maenads” (the word comes from the Greek maenades, meaning mad or demented) wild, drunk women, dressed as Ariadne, wife of Dionysus, with animal skins draped over their shoulders, carrying a “Thyrus”, a rod topped with a pine cone, and his male devotes, satyrs, men with goat-like features, in a permanent state of arousal, gathered together in the woods, for what can only be dubbed as a rave party!

The copious amounts of wine knocked back, trance-inducing music, strange herbs ingested and wild singing and dancing; all produced a state of complete abandon, a total lack of inhibition.

Baby this was the original sex, drugs and rock and roll!

…a huge wooden statue of Dionysus was borne aloft, through the inebriated crowds…escorted by men dressed at satyrs, disguised by masks, the women following, wildly dancing, heads thrown back in ecstasy…

I can certainly understand why early Christian priests were not enamored with these pagan shenanigans, and replaced it with Greek carnival, which, it seems to me, is just a reenactment of wild parties, thrown all those years ago, under another name: Apokreas!

…the description of the Dionysia reminds me of the less reputable holiday resorts of the Greek islands, where, according to foreign tourists, anything goes!

So do false gods capture their victims through sexual promiscuity or drive their victims to engage in sexual promiscuity?

“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:18-32)

“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ…According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness....that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped [the alternative condition] the corruption that is in the world through lustWherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth…there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies…and bring upon themselves swift destruction...

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise governmentthese, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption

  • Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin;
  • beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices…
  • following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness…
  • they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness...

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. (2 Peter 1-2)

God had to break up this recreation / re-creation of the damned world of lost souls.

Confounded Language

“And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language…” (Gen 11:5-6)

How does confounding language restrain humans from accessing the heavens?

The simple expedient of scattering the people can be easily reversed by learning one another’s languages, as occurs when empires expand into outlying territories. English is the current example of a common world language, assembling not only a labor force but discoveries by far-flung researchers.

Not surprisingly, in the 19th and early 20th centuries, much research was conducted and disseminated in German. Interesting that “Germany has been the home of some of the most prominent researchers in various scientific disciplines, notably physics, mathematics, chemistry and engineering.” Interesting that rocket science and space exploration began in Germany, and that space exploration is where you see the greatest international cooperation. Since America won German scientists as spoils of war after World War II, English has become the new common language of science.

In addition to accumulating knowledge and understanding by learning multiple languages, many efforts have been made to devise a completely new universal language, including a language allegedly learned from a green alien humanoid. “Space-spirit-sound”, or “aUl”, was developed by an Austrian psychologist who claims that aUl is the universal language of logic used throughout the cosmos. Crazy as it sounds this is actually getting to the heart of the matter.

The Encylopaedia Britannica defines the history of science as mankind’s attempt to understand, in order to control, one’s world.

About 2500 BCE [i.e. before the flood, during the reign of the fallen angels and giants] there was a sudden burst of activity that seems to have had clear scientific importance. Great Britain and northwestern Europe contain large stone structures from that era, the most famous of which is Stonehenge… that are remarkable from a scientific point of view. Not only do they reveal technical and social skills of a high order…but the basic conception of Stonehenge and the other megalithic structures also seems to combine religious and astronomical purposes…and, apparently, constructed on mathematical principles that require at least practical knowledge of the Pythagorean theorem. This theorem…seems to have been known throughout Asia, the Middle East, and Neolithic Europe two millennia before the birth of Pythagoras. This combination of religion and astronomy was fundamental to the early history of science. It is found in Mesopotamia, Egypt, China…Central America and India.

mathematics in the language of the universe

The universal language that allowed Nimrod’s army to access the heavens to war against God was understanding and applying the language of science – mathematics. This is the language that was scattered and lost for the last four thousand years. Since Western civilization is again reaching the same highly scientific and technological capababilities of our ancient ancestors, our governments are again devoting extreme amounts of financial and human resources to “reach unto heaven.”

And God wasn’t having it start all over again.

So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth” (Gen 11:5-8)

This was a military countermeasure which effectively served to scatter knowledge of antediluvian space technology.

One well-known event of scattering military knowledge so that it was not all held by one empire can be seen in the division of Germany’s rocket science between America and Russia after WWII. Fortunately for the world, the balance of power between America and Russia, AKA the Cold War, prevented both America and Russia from dropping more atomic bombs.

We can therefore anticipate that Antichrist’s overriding response to God’s strategy is to hunt down and regather, not just the nations, but the scattered antediluvian hyper dimensional knowledge carried through time in bits and pieces by the different nations.

A growing body of evidence suggests the first sixteen pyramids of ancient Egypt were not royal tombs but recovery vaults designed to revive civilization after an anticipated major catastrophe. The pyramids acted as storehouses for seeds and tools, but the treasures necessary to restore the culture of ancient Egypt were secured in a secret chamber, and the three great pyramids of Giza “point” to this secret location.

According to respected Christian analyst and author Sharon K. Gilbert, this is the occult, i.e. hidden meaning, in the ancient myth of the scattering of Osiris’, AKA Nimrod’s, body parts.

According to top scholars in linguistics, archaeology, comparative mythology, and astronomy, myths encode the ancient knowledge of astronomy. Hertha von Dechend was professor of the history of science at the University of Frankfurt, and a research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), ranked the #1 university in the world. Also at M.I.T., Giorgio de Santillana was professor of the history and philosophy of science. Together von Dechend and de Santiallana compiled years of study into Hamlet’s Mill: An Essay Investigating the Origins of Human Knowledge & Its Transmission Through Myth. Drawing on scientific data, historical & literary sources, the authors argue that the myths from cultures all around the world have a common origin and are the remains of a preliterate astronomy, an exacting science whose power & accuracy were suppressed & then forgotten by an emergent Greco-Roman world view.

61ptvw3g4ml._sl500_aa280_Manly P. Hall, famed occultist and author of over 150 published works, drew his opinions in part from his studies of comparative mythology. Among the best known of his occult teachings are Aliens Magick and Sorcery, The Secret Teachings of All Ages, and An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy. The Secret Destiny of America popularized the idea of a masonic purpose for the founding of the United (get it?) States.

Unfortunately for believers, the scattering of nations also restrained God’s people from leading unbelievers back to God.

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send meNeither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (Joh 17:8, 20-23)

But as with all of rest of his judgments on sin, God provided a way of escape from this one. The first way in which God was working at that time to reunite believers and testify to unbelievers was, logically, through a universal language. We should not be surprised to find that, as with the reconciliation of Adam through sacrifice on the very day he sinned, this reconciliation through communication was also provided at the same time that judgment was imposed. We can date the beginning of this universal language by association with Shem’s son Aram.

Aram-aic is the ancient language of the Semitic [Shemite] family group, which includes the Assyrians, Babylonians, Chaldeans, Arameans, Hebrews, and Arabs…In a phenomenal wave of expansion, Aramaic spread over Palestine and Syria and large tracts of Asia and Egypt, replacing many languages…For about one thousand years it served as the official and written language of the Near East, officially beginning with the conquests of the Assyrian Empire, which had adopted Aramaic as its official language, replacing Akkadian…Aramaic had been adopted by…the tribes of the Northern Kingdom [deported] by Sargon II who took Samaria in 721, [and] the two tribes of the Southern Kingdom of Judah who were taken into captivity to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar in 587. Hence, the Jews who returned from the Babylonian Captivity brought Aramaic back with them to the Holy Land…[Yeshua / Jesus spoke the Word in Aramaic] The large colony of Orhai Jews [in modern Turkey], and the Jewish colonies in Assyria in the kingdom of Adiabene whose royal house had converted to Judaism, possessed most of the Bible in this sianfu1[Aramaic] dialect, the Peshitta…This Peshitta version of the Old Testament was taken over by all the Churches in the East, which used, and still use Aramaic, as far as India, and formerly in Turkestan and China. The Peshitta Tenakh was completed during Apostolic times with the writings of the New Testament…Modern Aramaic, in its various dialects, is spoken in modern-day Iraq, Iran, Syria, Israel, Lebanon, and the various Western countries to which the native speakers have emigrated, including Russia, Europe, Australia and the United States.”

It’s always the power inherent in the Word of God that opposes and defeats the enemy.
